Inquiring about risks vs benefits of vaccines in NZ now makes you a “flat earther” or worse a “murderer” – the all out censorship by mainstream media of the vaccine dialogue

Last week amidst a measles outbreak in Christchurch, social media has been in full on discussion about vaccines with an article by TV1 news featuring Nigel Latta, another prominent person weighing in on a borderline push insisting that parents vaccinate their children. To see what is behind this new enlistment of support to bully you into vaccinating, see the video titled Free Speech and Shutting Down the Vaccine Debate by Truthstream Media. Google, Amazon & Facebook are all involved in this.  And meanwhile, Duncan Garner has labeled anybody who refuses to vaccinate a ‘murderer’. Note, nary a mention of all the babies who have died following vaccination.

Let me say at the outset, vaccination in NZ is not compulsory. See the official email from the NZ Health Dept website below.

These prominent persons who are waving their self assumed ‘authority’ over you & your families under your noses, should in my opinion concentrate more on urging parents to obtain all the scientific literature from both sides of the vaccination issue before proceeding with their own informed & well researched decision that will benefit their children. Same as we should on any proposed medical procedure. Instead, Latta has likened such thinking folk to flat earthers.

Recently we posted a video featuring talk back radio where a young mother who is also a psychology graduate & whose six week old baby was vaccine injured, made a plea for full disclosure by the health professionals of the possible risks vs the possible benefits of a vaccine. One hour after vaccination, this young mother says her baby woke up screaming & over two days turned into a floppy rag doll with a high pitched shrill moan … his brain was swelling. So according to Latta’s thinking, anybody who questions this medical procedure (what are the contents of the vaccine? Are there any side effects to consider? and so on) are actually  “as legitimate as those at the Flat Earth Society”. Surely this young woman’s desire to be informed of the said risks vs benefits should not qualify her to be considered by health professionals as a conspiracy theorist?

I’m very disappointed as I really admired Latta’s  work with the Shadowlands series.  Yet on this issue he clearly is not for our parental right of choice. There are now enough testimonies from parents of deceased babies & disabled children who wish they had been informed of the risks and who cannot now turn back the clock. If you doubt that please visit the Vaxxed Youtube channel & hear all the heartbroken parents speaking out. View the before & after videos of their precious little ones, changed forever. Any parent’s worst nightmare. The disturbing thing about that is their numbers are increasing. To not weigh up the risks of injury versus the benefits, in light of the current available information, would in my opinion be very irresponsible.

This is not however how the medical establishment sees this. They want you to get the vaccine, no questions asked. Hitler would be proud.

With respect to the parental right to decline a vaccine, folk have been sharing their experiences recently following the post of an article about children of non consenting parents being pressured by nurses at their schools to be vaccinated regardless of their parents’ wishes. A blatant violation of human rights. Details are in this article:

My daughters were approached by nurses at school “gently” encouraging them to persuade me, they also rang me to question my judgment….I’M THE PARENT not them how dare they question my decisions for my daughters.

I’ve had lengthy conversations with my 11 and a half year old about this..today he said his teacher was telling them all they have to get vaccinated to keep them safe and asking them questions like “you do want to be safe and live don’t you?” , the teacher proceeded to tell the kids they needed to go home this evening and tell their parents that they need to make an appointment with the doctor asap…they have a vaccination program for the year 8s at his school and I told him he has my full permission to refuse and if they pressure him to demand to be able to call me or run away from the area that they are vaccinating.

I received HPV vaccination over 12 years ago now, when my mum sent in a form that said she didn’t consent to me receiving it. I gave it to the nurse who tossed it in the bin, then gave it to me anyways.. when I got home I told my mum & the next day she called a meeting with the school principal, vice principal and all my teachers and went offfff. After that day they didn’t even bother giving me any forms for vaccinations because they didn’t want my mum to come down to the school again.

When my boy was attending Intermediate school they were being targeted for diptheria, tetanus pertussis (triple vaccine) and as a parent I rang to ask where was the info for the parents. Answer was “oh we don’t do this anymore and hardly anyone turns up” So I was invited along to an assembly where they addressed all the kids. My boy had been sent on an errand unbeknown to me and when the session was finished he turned up almost in tears as he had “missed out”. Now the session included a video of propaganda showing an old school photo of a class with circles around a few pupils (can’t remember which way around it was to use as an example who was spreading disease). The Deputy Principal allowed for questions of the 2 DHB nurses present. One South African boy asked what bad reactions could happen and the nurse had to acknowledge “anaphylactic shock”. I raised my hand to ask a question and the DP gave me the most evil look then promptly closed the whole session down and sent everyone back to class. What hope is there if the teachers are propagandised leaves me worried and wondering …..

Parents now also need to be aware that some children are being prescribed anti-depressants without parental consent.

Clearly some medical staff are taking it upon themselves to apply pressure to children which is not acceptable. As to prescribing anti depressants without parental consent, that is definitely crossing the line. Watch your children parents. Listen to them. And be involved & know what is happening at their schools. Make it clear to those concerned what your expectations are regarding any health procedure.

Note also the right of choice has also been removed from the staff of a Christchurch school regarding their own choice to vaccinate. Unvaccinated teachers face a fine of $2,000:

Please advise if immunisation in New Zealand is compulsory or that it is up to the person and/or parents to make that decision. Your website is not very clear on all of this.

Scientists Test Three Solutions for Cleaning Pesticides Off Produce: The Winner is Clear, Chemical-Free and Surprisingly Cheap

Each year, the release of the Environmental Working Group’s ‘Clean Fifteen’ and ‘Dirty Dozen’ lists inspire countless health conscious shoppers looking for the best deals on produce as free from toxic pesticides as possible.

This year’s list followed a similar pattern, with the exception of two well known crops that contain “less than one percent detectable pesticides,” even in their non-organic iteraitons.

Despite the good news, there’s still a pesticide-related problem that shows few signs of slowing in the United States, especially with Bayer set to take over Monsanto in the coming weeks.

The bad news is that glyphosate and other chemicals are more abundant in our environment than ever before. But the good news is that organic food is making a comeback, and there are plenty of ways to mitigate your exposure to harmful pesticides.

One of them is by using the best quality homemade produce wash for your fruits and vegetables, and according to a study from the University of Massachusetts, there is one clear winner that happens to be cheap, simple and effective.

 

University Study Reveals: Baking Soda Better Than Chlorine for Washing Vegetables

The study, published in October 2017 in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry by a team of six researchers, looked at three main possible solutions for cleaning produce: pure water, a solution of bleach containing chlorine, and a solution made of water and baking soda.

Organic Gala apples that were coated with the fungicide thiabendazole, or phosmet, a pesticide, by the scientists for research purposes, were used for the study. They were then washed with one of the three solutions.

“We want(ed) to see whether or not the factory level (of washing) is already effective” for removing the chemicals, lead researcher Dr. Lili He said.

In the end, the winner was clear: baking soda took home the number one spot, because of its ability to make the pesticides degrade faster than the other two solutions.

In 2016 a former DOC ranger expressed concerned with 1080 getting into Taranaki’s waterways

I am noticing in discussions around aerial 1080 drops, folk are saying they’ve not heard of any health effects happening. What you need to know however, is when it comes to testing for 1080 there are parameters around time frames for that (as you will see in the Putaruru family’s ordeal in the links below). A retired NZ Medical Doctor has been concerned enough to inform the public that Doctors are bullied into NOT testing for 1080 poisoning. So in his words last September  2018 “if you die from 1080 poisoning, nobody will know [that it was 1080] …”. You should also read our page on suspected 1080 poisonings to see the foot dragging & cover up that is exhibited by our esteemed authorities.

A former DOC ranger says he’s concerned about 1080 reaching Taranaki’s water supply following aerial drops of the toxin in Egmont National Park.

Barry Ovenden, who has helped conduct 1080 operations in the park in 2002 and 2010, said there had been a lack of public consultation about the poison reaching rivers which run off the mountain and supply the region with fresh water.

“If the drop goes perfectly then there shouldn’t be any problem, the risk is if someone say drops a bucket of it into a stream,” he said.

“By the time DOC have tested that water 24 hours later, the water is already on the way to the tap.”

Ovenden said there hasn’t been a history of negative effects – like sickness – from people drinking 1080 contaminated water in Taranaki, but cautioned the effects were still relatively unknown.

 “DOC test the water supply after the first significant rainfall after the drops, but there’s no long term testing,” he said.

Unlike many stalwart anti-1080 campaigners Ovenden said 1080 was still very effective, but there were other means of controlling pests in the park.

“DOC could conduct that aerial operation on the ground,” he said.

“Sure it would be more expensive, but it wouldn’t be dangerous.

“They (DOC) are dictating to the public of Taranaki that this is the only way.”

However, DOC refutes any claims 1080 poses a danger to our water supply and the government’s environmental watchdog Landcare Research backs up the department’s claims.

According to Landcare’s protocol for sampling and testing water for 1080 there is no evidence water had been contaminated in a study of 76 samples done in 2007.

The report also states that contamination in waterways from 1080 is “highly improbable if current safety procedures are followed”.

The Ministry of Health recommends that water should not be used for drinking if 1080 is found to be above two parts per billion, whereas 70 of the 76 samples done by Landcare were below one part per billion.

DOC spokesperson Herb Christophers said the department simply wouldn’t use 1080 if it was contaminating people’s waterways.

“We base everything we do on the science that supports 1080’s use,” he said.

“There is just no evidence to say it poisons our waterways.”

As for conducting the 1080 operation on the ground, in a more targeted approach to pest control, DOC’s bio-diversity planner Bill Fleury has previously said it would cost 25 times the cost of using 1080 to control pests manually in the park.

Fleury said possums had a small territory and trappers would have to physically trap every hectare in the park to have the same effect as dropping 1080.

“The problem with doing that from the ground is that pests can move back into an area you’ve just baited and nullify any progress you’ve just made,” he said.

1080 is dropped in the the park every six years and this year’s drop is yet to commence as DOC need several fine weather days.

Following this year’s drop DOC will drop 1080 every three years, but at half the dosage.

THE INCREDIBLE LETTER BELOW HAS BEEN PREPARED BY DOCTORS WHO ARE CONCERNED ABOUT 1080 POISON BEING DEPOSITED IN DRINKING WATER

Open letter to the Government, Friday, 21st September 2018.

As doctors, we are extremely concerned about the health risk of depositing poisoned bait over 22,500 hectares of the Hunua water catchment area. Specifically, we are concerned about Sodium Fluoroacetate (SMFA / 1080), a known deadly poison which is known to cause sub-lethal effects on reproduction and is classified as a teratogen, having potential to contaminate the Auckland water supply.

There is no effective antidote for 1080 poisoning in humans.

We are extremely concerned that public officials are not adopting a far more precautionary approach to the safety of the Auckland water catchment, especially when the effects of 1080, a highly soluble poison, is not quantifiably able to be tested on how it affects the health of humans.

Studies show that 1080 affects the reproductive organs, the cardiac system, and respiratory system in mammals. There is no safe minimal level known and water testing and sampling after aerial 1080 application cannot prudently protect the public from risk of exposure from this poison.

As doctors, we are responsible for the health of individuals and communities. Therefore, we ask the government to immediately stop the usage of sodium fluoroacetate which has potential to contaminate the New Zealand water supply.

About 328,000 patients in the U.S. and Europe die from prescription drugs each year

And why would this be any different in NZ Kiwis? Same drug companies. Same medical model. Same addressing of symptoms not root causes as is generally the case.

A damning Harvard University report has advised that according to the European Commission, about 328,000 patients in the U.S. and Europe die from prescription drugs each year – making prescription drugs the 4th highest cause of death, on a par with stroke.

We could get into legal trouble if we advised you to go against the recommendations of your doctor; however we can advise you to be as informed as possible about the risks involved in taking prescription meds.

According to the World Health Organization, the pharmaceutical industry is worth 300 billion dollars annually – with an additional hundred million expected to add to the value in the next three years. A third of this entire multi-billion-dollar market is controlled by ten of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. According to CMR International, a partner of Thomas Reuters, global pharmaceutical sales reached one trillion dollars in 2014 and will be booming to 1.3 trillion by 2018.

It goes without saying that this is big business – but like every big business, there is a dark side as well. Can we really trust the research – seeing as the same companies selling the pills are funding many of the medical journals? And then we have the issue of doctors receiving kickbacks for prescribing certain drugs, after being “educated” on the benefits of the drugs by pharma salesmen.

#1: Sleeping Pills (OTC and prescribed)

The use of sleeping pills has been associated with an increased risk factor for stroke. A study published by Petrov, et. al. in 2014 revealed that over-the-counter and prescription sleeping pills increased a person’s risk for stroke, independently and beyond any of the other known risk factors like blood pressure, personal history of heart disease, and vices like smoking and drinking alcohol. Isn’t it worrying that compared to all other factors that place a person at risk for stroke, sleeping pills top that list? [3]

Mobile and wireless technologies are a ubiquitous feature of modern life.  Most U.S. adults own smartphones, a growing proportion are “smartphone-only” Internet users and over a fourth report being online “almost constantly.”  As for children, a 2014 survey of high-income nations reported that almost seven in ten children used a mobile phone, and two-thirds of those had a smartphone, usually by age 10.  As described by Nielsen, it is now as common to see “a kid with a smartphone in their hand” as it was to see “a kid playing with a yo-yo in the years before the digital age.”

The enthusiasm with which the public has embraced each new mobile and wireless technology—most of which have never undergone any appropriate safety testing or standards development—suggests that consumers rarely stop to consider the health implications of the infrastructure shoring up their ability to browse, stream and download anytime and “on the go.”  Consumers are not entirely to blame for their lack of awareness—it is not easy to disentangle the technologies’ health risks in the face of the telecommunications industry’s steady and calculated disinformation efforts and a captured Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that “follows the script of fabulously wealthy, bullying, billion-dollar beneficiaries of wireless.”

“… powerful 5G (fifth-generation) networks and technology are about to subject everyone, on a continuous basis, to unprecedented forms and amounts of mandatory irradiation—without prior study of the potential health impact or any assurance of safety.

Now, however, a global 5G “frenzy” is upon us and is coming into full force.  The rollout of “blazing fast” 5G technology will “dramatically increase the number of transmitters sending signals to cellphones and a host of new Internet-enabled devices.”  The time is ripe for greater grassroots awareness of the undisclosed tradeoffs between convenience and 5G’s potentially catastrophic health effects.  Far from a simple “next-gen” upgrade, powerful 5G (fifth-generation) networks and technology are about to subject everyone, on a continuous basis, to unprecedented forms and amounts of what retired U.S. government physicist Dr. Ronald Powell calls “mandatory irradiation”—without “prior study of the potential health impact” or any assurance of safety.  Considering that young people (with their smaller body mass and developing brains) are particularly vulnerable to radiation, the Environmental Health Trust has termed 5G “the next great unknown experiment on our children”—and the entire human population.

6 Natural Ibuprofen Alternatives Backed by Clinical Research

With the public’s growing awareness of the deadly side effects associated with the regular use of synthetic painkillers like ibuprofen, the need for natural, evidence-based alternatives has never been greater.

People generally think that over-the-counter drugs are safer than physician-prescribed ones. Unfortunately that does not hold true for drugs like ibuprofen, consumed at a rate of billions of doses, annually, and responsible for thousands of cardiovascular disease-related deaths each year.

But millions continue to take this drug, daily, without receiving adequate warning, while heart disease and cardiac mortality statistics continue to expand unabated.

Considering the veritable nightmare of adverse effects associated with ibuprofen use — the “pain killer” that that is ‘so effective’ it permanently cures pain by killing the patient — it behooves both the medical profession and the health consumer to find safer alternatives, even if that means going back to the time-tested, multi-culturally validated tradition of herbal medicine.

Here are a 5 clinically validated, natural alternatives worth considering:

  1. Arnica: a 2007 study found that arnica, applied topically, was as effective as ibuprofen for relieving symptoms associated with osteoarthritis of the wrist, and with less side effects.

The secrets of the Sackler family, the pharmaceutical dynasty who own the company accused of sparking America’s opioid crisis with its mass production and aggressive marketing of OxyContin, will be laid bare in court despite their efforts to keep them private.

On Monday, Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Janet Sanders rejected the family’s attempts to keep the lawsuit filed against them and their company, Purdue Pharma, by the state of Massachusetts sealed, saying the details they seek to protect belong in the public domain.

The full lawsuit – which has been heavily redacted and has not been released publicly – must now be released, free of redacts, by February 1.

It will expose for the first time the tactics the family used to not only push the highly addictive painkiller through the pharmaceutical industry and in to millions of American homes and hospitals, but also the efforts they took to try to ‘circumvent safeguards put in place to stop illegal prescription,’ according to Sanders.  Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey welcomed the judge’s decision on Tuesday, saying in a statement: ‘For many years, Purdue, its executives, and members of the Sackler family have tried to shift the blame and hide their role in creating the opioid epidemic.

‘We are grateful to the court for lifting the impoundment on our complaint so that the public and families so deeply impacted by this crisis can see the allegations of the misconduct that has harmed so many.’

In pages of the lawsuit already made public, Healey claims the family aggressively pushed the painkiller to doctors despite knowing how addictive it is.

Family members even claimed the tens of thousands of deaths attributed to their drug were ‘only the tip of the iceberg’ but still pressed hard for more sales, the lawsuit claims.

‘In 1997, Richard Sackler, Kathe Sackler, and other Purdue executives determined — and recorded in secret internal correspondence — that doctors had the crucial misconception that OxyContin was weaker than morphine, which led them to prescribe OxyContin much more often, even as a substitute for Tylenol,’ says Healey.

In her judgement, Judge Sanders said the family’s argument to keep the lawsuit redacted was ‘hardly compelling’.

She was not given any information about the serious harm that they may cause. Her child subsequently had a bad reaction to being vaccinated at 6 weeks. Statistics presented by the American Association of Endodontists show that at least 15 million root canals are performed every year. Root Canals Raise Red Flags for Your Health

Root canals can be detrimental to your health because the teeth affected have the potential to be “incubators” for toxic anaerobic bacteria, which can go into your bloodstream and cause severe medical conditions. What’s worse, you may not be able to detect these until years later.

How do these health risks make their way to your body? The answer lies in the way the procedure is carried out. In root canals, the dentist hollows out the tooth in question, then fills the empty chamber with a tough, plastic substance called gutta-percha, which comes from the latex of trees. Dental schools usually teach their students that there are one to four major canals connected to each tooth. In reality, however, there can be more. In these passageways, microscopic organisms can move about, and it’s where they can turn into harmful bacteria and hide from antibiotics and your body’s immune defenses.

These dangerous, virus-loaded organisms  can produce toxins, waiting for an opportunity to spread after hiding in the canals where no amount of sterilization has been proven effective on them.

Every single root-canaled tooth houses these bacteria around the apex and in the periodontal ligament. They may extend to the jawbone where they can cause cavitations, areas of unhealed bone often with infected tissue and gangrene. They normally form after tooth extractions or root canals.

Why Won’t Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner Answer Questions About 5G?

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has shown a lack of interest in answering questions from a growing number of Houstonians who are raising concerns about privacy and health issues related to the ongoing roll out of 5G, or Fifth Generation, cellular technology.

In July 2018, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner stood side by side with Verizon Wireless officials to announce plans to roll out 5g technology in the city of Houston. The Mayor said 5G will turn Houston into a “smart city”, with better control of traffic flow, money-saving smart street lights, and driverless cars.

By late September, Mayor Turner was awarded the “5g Wireless Champion Award” by the CTIA, the wireless industry association, aka “Big Wireless”. The CTIA stated that, “Under Mayor Turner’s leadership, Houston has streamlined the permitting process by not requiring a license or attachment agreement for new poles or small cells, and completes review ahead of deadlines. “

On October 1st, Mayor Turner once again held a press event with officials from Verizon wireless. This time, the Mayor and Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg were on location at a Houston couples home as they installed 5G equipment   and helped the young couple become “the world’s first 5g customer”. At this event Mayor Turner and Mr. Vestberg were both questioned about the health and privacy concerns which have been raised by scientists, doctors, journalists, activists, and security experts. Both Turner and Vestberg stated they were not aware of any health or privacy concerns.

Since that time concerned Houstonians have emailed the Mayor and City Council studies, reports, and articles related to the concerns around the 5G roll out. The few council members who did respond have not provided any details on whether the city conducted an Environmental Impact assessment or any health studies. The city officials have also not answered any questions regarding the potential for invasions of privacy.

To date, the Mayor and City Council have been made aware of the following points:

– A recent FCC ruling handed control of the 5g rollout over to the federal government, preempting local ordinances

– Michigan State Senator Patrick Colbert recently spoke out against the unprecedented roll out this new, untested technology

– Dr. Sharon Goldberg, a Medical Doctor certified in internal health, also testified to the Michigan State Senate regarding her concerns about the 5g roll out

– Connecticut State Senator Richard Blumenthal has called on the Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission to provide documentation confirming statements regarding 5g safety

– the Washington DC Advisory Neighborhood Commissions issued a resolution regarding 5g health concerns

– Kaiser Permanente Study on Miscarriages for women near cell towers

– National Toxicoloy Program Study on Rats exposed to cell phone radiation 

– Project Censored names report on danger of cell phones and wifi the 4th most censored story of 2018

– Report by LA Times: “Is 5G technology dangerous? Early data shows a slight increase of tumors in male rats exposed to cellphone radiation”

– The American Civil Liberties Union released a guide for cities, “How to Prevent Smart Cities from Turning to Surveillance Cities”

Why won’t Mayor Turner respond to the concerns of the people of Houston?

There’s nothing nicer than sipping on a warm cup of herbal tea on a cold midwinter’s day. But besides being tasty and warming, tea provides a host of different health benefits – that is, unless your tea is soaked in pesticides.

CBC News recently conducted an investigation on the pesticide levels in some of the most major tea-producing companies. Using an accredited lab, the investigators utilized testing methods employed by the National Food Inspection Agency to test pesticide residues on dry tea leaves.

Pesticides in Tea

The investigators at CBC found that over half of all teas tested had pesticide residues that were above the legally acceptable limit. Multiple chemicals were found in 8 out of 10 teas, with one brand of tea containing over 22 different types of pesticides (Uncle Lee’s Legends of China tea brand).

A large majority of these pesticides are currently being banned in several countries due to the health risks they pose to workers that handle them, and the negative effects they have on the environment (as well as the health of those that consume the products).

Environmental lawyer, David Boyd, told CBC:

“This is very worrisome from a number of perspectives…The presence of so many pesticides on a single product and so many products that exceed the maximum residue limits for pesticides, suggests that we’re seeing very poor agricultural practices in countries, which poses risk to the environment where these products are being grown; which pose risk to the farm workers who are growing these crops, and ultimately pose risk to the Canadians who are consuming these products.”

The flopped GMO Golden Rice of 2 decades ago was approved in 2018 to enter the US food supply

Two decades ago, genetically modified (GM) golden rice was touted as a way to save the world’s starving children. The hype didn’t last very long, however. It didn’t save any lives, farmers didn’t grow it, and nobody ate it. But in May, golden rice won the approval of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with the agency declaring it safe to eat.

Golden rice, one of the oldest GMO crops, initially won high praise because it was engineered to produce vitamin A (beta-carotene), which would help children in poor countries get the required dose of the vitamin. About 250,000 to 500,000 children go blind each year from a lack of the vital nutrient.

Researchers began modifying rice DNA in 2000, and it won overwhelming support from the Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, both of which funded its progress. Even Pope Francis gave the GMO crop his blessing.

The U.S. is the 4th nation to approve golden rice, and more could follow. The U.S. is part of an international body that forms recommendations about food safety that other countries can adopt if they lack their own equivalent of the FDA.

Still, it could be a tough sell for the other 168 countries that chime in about international food standards. Golden rice crops aren’t necessarily field-ready, according to a 2016 Mother Jones report. The plants aren’t as efficient as they could be and don’t yield the crops that regular rice does, so many farmers might see golden rice as a waste of time and money.

The news media has been celebrating the FDA’s embrace of golden rice and the fact that more countries could also approve it, still framing golden rice as a savior of sick and dying children. Don’t be fooled.

The links between cancer & pesticides in our environment that the industries continue to deny

In the 1970s, Dr Samuel Epstein wrote ‘The Politics of Cancer’ outlining the environmental health risks of chemicals contributing to cancer. The respective industries continue to minimize or deny those impacts.

Further you could also read our own Dr Meriel Watts’ excellent book called ‘The Poisoning of New Zealand’. She writes in Section One about pesticides and cancer citing the British Medical Assn’s report (p 41):

“While no causal link has been proven between pesticides and forms of cancer … there are serious doubts about the scientific validity of some of the studies which have been undertaken and there is no epidemiological evidence available for many pesticides. In other words we do not know whether or not many pesticides are harmful or not in day to day use.”

Recently, Carol Sawyer posted information on an Otago article that gives details of a study from the University of Otago on the legacy of pesticides found in our environment. They hail a move to organic farming as being preferable. Carol details the NZ health (& other) statistics which are very damning to us as a nation.

NEW ZEALAND’S HEALTH STATISTICS

1) “Close to half the men in New Zealand and Australia are at risk of getting cancer, giving Australasia the highest regional rate in the world, latest estimates from The World Health Organisation (WHO) show.

WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) estimates the risk of New Zealand men developing cancer before the age of 75 years is 46.27 percent. The agency estimates the risk for women in New Zealand at a third.” RNZ , 16 September, 2018

3) We have one of the lowest male fertility rates in the world.

Otago research shows banned pesticides (or their toxic degradation products) remain in the sediments of farm streams many years on.

An Otago study shows that the tell-tale legacy in rural South Island areas of pesticides banned many years ago remains, regardless of the type of sheep and beef farming now taking place on the land.

The research, led by Department of Chemistry recent PhD graduate Dr Pourya Shahpoury and just published in the international journal Environmental Pollution, nevertheless shows that average pesticide levels found in sediments of streams running through the 15 South Island farms assessed as part of the study were still within recommended thresholds.

The most frequently detected pesticide (chlorpyrifos) found in the stream beds is one that is approved in New Zealand for current use against pests. However, the study also found chemicals (or their toxic degradation products) present that had been widely used many years ago before they were banned.

The team of Otago Chemistry and Zoology Department researchers compared the presence of chlorinated pesticides at streams running through five sheep and beef farm clusters located near Amberley, Akaroa, Outram, Owaka and Gore.

In each of the five areas, one property was farmed organically, a second was farmed using the integrated pest management (reduced pesticide use) farming method, and a third was farmed conventionally. The farms were carefully selected with the help of a design formulated by Otago’s Agricultural Research Group on Sustainability (ARGOS), which studies farm management strategies in New Zealand.

Sediment samples were taken from the 15 different farmland streams during the spring/early summer, the period when pests and weeds are most active, resulting in more intense application of pesticides compared to winter or autumn.

Dr Shahpoury says chlorinated pesticides, within recommended thresholds, were found throughout the study areas regardless of the farming practices that took place on the farms eight to11 years preceding the study.

“Although the chemical chlorpyrifos was the most frequently detected in stream sediments, in contrast to our expectations, its concentrations were not highest in stream sediments from conventional farms and were found at similar levels across all three different farm types. This may have been due, at least in part, to its high potential to undergo vapour drift and re-distribution,” he says.

Antibiotic resistance is often pegged as a problem caused by the overuse of antibiotics — and this is a driving factor — but research suggests it may actually be only one piece to the puzzle. Environmental factors may be accelerating the rise of antibiotic resistance as well, particularly widely used herbicides like glyphosate (Roundup) and dicamba (Kamba).

Research from University of Canterbury researchers revealed that agrichemicals and antibiotics in combination increase the evolution of antibiotic resistance. In fact, bacteria may develop antibiotic resistance up to 100,000 times faster when they’re exposed to certain herbicides in the environment.1

“The combination of chemicals to which bacteria are exposed in the modern environment should be addressed alongside antibiotic use if we are to preserve antibiotics in the long term,” study author Jack Heinemann of the University of Canterbury, said in a news release.2

‘Like Trying to Put Out a Fire of Antibiotic Resistance With Gasoline’

The study found cases when exposure to herbicides made the antibiotics more toxic while at the same time increasing the antibiotic resistance. Heinemann explained why this is an alarming finding:

“We are inclined to think that when a drug or other chemical makes antibiotics more potent, that should be a good thing. But it also makes the antibiotic more effective at promoting resistance when the antibiotic is at lower concentrations, as we more often find in the environment … Such combinations can be like trying to put out the raging fire of antibiotic resistance with gasoline.”

The results suggest that herbicides enhance the ability of antibiotics to become antibiotic resistant and that such resistance may be acquired at rates much faster than those predicted in laboratory conditions. Previously, research by Heinemann and colleagues found that commonly used herbicides promote antibiotic resistance by priming pathogens to more readily become resistant to antibiotics.3

This includes Roundup (the actual formulation of Roundup, not just its active ingredient glyphosate in isolation), which was shown to increase the antibiotic-resistant prowess of E. coli and salmonella, along with dicamba and 2,4-D. Rodale News reported:4

“The way Roundup causes this effect is likely by causing the bacteria to turn on a set of genes that are normally off, [study author] Heinemann says. ‘These genes are for ‘pumps’ or ‘porins,’ proteins that pump out toxic compounds or reduce the rate at which they get inside of the bacteria …’

Once these genes are turned on by the herbicide, then the bacteria can also resist antibiotics. If bacteria were to encounter only the antibiotic, they would instead have been killed. In a sense, the herbicide is ‘immunizing’ the bacteria to the antibiotic … This change occurs at levels commonly used on farm field crops, lawns, gardens and parks.”

In NZ 1080 can now be dropped into any sized waterway: the manufacturer’s warning says NOT to drop it into waterways

So NZ seems to be able to just bypass the manufacturer’s instructions. And we the public are supposed to just ignore these guidelines too & trust that all’s good? Where is the scientific data that says it’s now safe? The years long scientific testing of 1080 in water? I haven’t seen any. And what other regulations are they bypassing? I for one do not drink town supply water any more. I desisted long ago to avoid ingesting chlorine, the carcinogen they add to stop us getting sick from their sewage and industrial waste discharges put into the waterways. Those additions are called ‘sustainable development’ folks. They help keep corporate profits up & kick the proverbial pollution can down the road.

Re the aerial 1080 drop on the Eyre Mountains, Northern Southland – On 25 October, 2018, I reported local farmer, Cara Metherell, as saying :

“I asked the Operations Manager ( David Priest of Vector Control Services) about the 3 metre waterway rule.
He said some regional councils had different rules. Some were 3 metres, some were 2 metres, and some had none at all.

Apparently the rules were changed so that it would be the same for every region. They changed it to none ( no restrictions ).

There are no rules about the size of the river they can drop it into now apparently.”

Research reveals that a vaccinated individual not only can become infected with measles, but can also spread it to others who are also vaccinated against it –doubly disproving that the administration of multiple doses of MMR vaccine is “97% effective,” as widely claimed. 

One of the fundamental errors in thinking about measles vaccine effectiveness is that receipt of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine equates to bona fide immunity against measles virus. Indeed, it is commonly claimed by health organizations like the CDC that receiving two doses of the MMR vaccine is “97 percent effective in preventing measles,” despite a voluminous body of contradictory evidence from epidemiology and clinical experience.

This erroneous thinking has led the public, media and government alike to attribute the origin of measles outbreaks, such as the one reported at Disney in 2015 (and which lead to the passing of SB277 that year, stripping vaccine exemptions for all but medical reasons in California), to the non-vaccinated, even though 18% of the measles cases occurred in those who had been vaccinated against it — hardly the vaccine’s two-dose claimed “97% effectiveness.” The vaccine’s obvious fallibility is also indicated by the fact that that the CDC now requires two doses.

But the problems surrounding the failing MMR vaccine go much deeper. First, they carry profound health risks (over 25 of which we have indexed here: MMR vaccine dangers), including increased autism risk, which a senior CDC scientist confessed his agency covered up, which do not justify the risk, given that measles is not only not deadly but confers significant health benefits that have been validated in the biomedical literature. Second, not only does the MMR vaccine fail to consistently confer immunity, but those who have been “immunized” with two doses of MMR vaccine can still transmit the infection to others — a phenomena no one is reporting on in the rush to blame the non- or minimally-vaccinated for the outbreak.

The Story So Far

In a nut shell, a Telco wants to place a tower in Wilson’s creek, Byron Shire.
What we uncovered (after we reached out to lawyers, doctors and scientists from around the world) is that at best Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) is a class 2B potential carcinogen (as listed by the World Health Organisation), and at worst a definite carcinogen and toxic to all life.
In fact EMR is a classified pollutant (electro-smog).
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics;
the #1 illness that kills children is brain cancer and the #1 cancer killer of adults under 40 is brain cancer (AIHW).
Medical professionals have identified health impacts from EMR exposure as the next global pandemic.
Many Australians suffer from EMR hypersensitivity symptoms (a recognised illness with identifiable biomarkers).
Government and industry are forcing telco towers upon communities that do not want them.
Liability caused from harm by EMR to environment, health and safety (EHS) is an uninsurable risk and understood to be a contributory factor in Telcos listing harm from EMR to EHS as a material risk (the highest possible risk) in their annual reports to shareholders…and yet consumers are not made overtly aware by industry,
Regulators take no action and neither does Government.   In fact they plan to blanket the planet in 5G microwave radiation (the Internet of Things).
According to the lawyers it is possible that community is being assaulted with a recognised pollutant and possible carcinogen on a 24 x 7 basis against their consent for convenience and profit.
There may be trade practices, criminal, terrorism and even constitutional (e.g. the Crown not protecting its subjects) implications.
Legal action to force change is on the horizon.
Once industry are required to overtly inform the general public of the possible harm and provide methods for the public to minimise that harm, people will have a choice – informed consent.
They will also seek refuge in many cases, so we also need to protect our black (light) spots.
We’ve seen change with Asbestos (banned) and the tobacco industry (informed consent)…change is possible when community unites.

The NZ Govt is teaching your child that Class 1A ecotoxin 1080, banned by most countries, is ‘not very dangerous to humans’

Note: As your kids head back to school, keep an eye out for the poison propaganda. IMO it is not acceptable to send an official text book message to young children that a class 1A ecotoxin, classed by WHO as ‘highly hazardous’, is not very dangerous to humans. There is no antidote to this poison & it is frequently found lying around for weeks on end after aerial drops.  (21/1/2019)

Over all, this item featuring a Year 10 Science book & its fairly ho hum description of the toxicity of 1080, appears to be normalizing the use of poisons.

“1080 is classed by the World Health Organisation as an Extremely Hazardous pesticide (Class 1a WHO). There is no antidote for 1080. Poisoned  by it, you have no hope of being saved. However, our esteemed authorities in higher places have seen fit to describe it to our children as not very dangerous to humans. Wherever you stand on the use of 1080, be it for or against, I would still call such a description of an acutely toxic poison for your children’s information, highly irresponsible.

1080 is NOT a natural substance.. it is a synthetic poison, a World Health Organisation Class 1A ecotoxin, banned in most countries. It is extremely dangerous to humans. One standard teaspoon of pure 1080 poison can kill 100 grown men. One 1080 bait (0.15% pure poison) can kill a child.

Over all, the use of poisons appears to be becoming very normalized. Videos like this below certainly illustrate that.

I read an article yesterday by Geoff Booth, a Kiwi and a B.Sc. who worked for a long time in pest eradication using poisons including 1080 & with DoC, so is very knowledgeable in the use of 1080. He said the US manufacturers are dismayed at the way we in NZ use 1080, in a totally opposite way to the labelled recommendations, ie it is ‘chucked around in a veritable lollie scramble in the bush from helicopters’.

Those of us who have lived more than 50 years on the planet know that there was little mention of poison in our childhoods. If you personally think it’s fine for our kids, you need to read Dr Meriel Watts’ book, Poisoning Our Future: Children and Pesticides.

The effects can include ADHD and autism and even conditions like obesity and breast cancer that can show up later in life in what is now referred to as the “foetal origins of adult disease”. Some childhood cancers like leukaemia have been linked to the exposure of parents to pesticides. Highly hazardous pesticides also damage the developing immune, nervous and reproductive systems.

Good morning,

I am very concerned after viewing a year 10 science text book on an anti poison social media page  The information within the text book is incorrect and highly dangerous, to elude that one of the worlds deadliest poisons, Compound 1080 with no known antidote, ‘is not that poisonous to humans’ is ludicrous and downright evil.

How are children meant to know any different about the dangers of this poison if this is what they are taught at schools in New Zealand!!

This textbook information directly contradicts the manufacturers warning label & manufacturers data sheet:

Deadly poison. Keep out of reach of children
Avoid all waterways.
Deadly to aquatic life.
Will decompose at temperatures over 200 degrees.
Avoid secondary poisoning.
Poisoned carcasses should be burned completely or buried deeply at hazardous waste landfill

Please alert the Ministry of Education to this terrible error! I have already emailed them with no success to have this textbook removed from the curriculum.
