The claimed history of vaccine “successes” against polio and other diseases is a pure fabrication. This is discussed and exposed in great detail in the powerful new book, “Dissolving Illusions” by Dr. Suzanne Humphries. The vaccine industry refuses to conduct scientific tests on the health outcomes of vaccinated children vs. unvaccinated children…”
Comment:
Enough to get you reading? This topic deserves your attention. Research it well to make informed decisions about your loved ones. For the older ones among us, vaccines have changed somewhat since we were young. I, like most mums of my era, would not think of skipping vaccinations. Information that’s come to light in the last decade however has made me change my mind on that. Looking back on that era, I’ve been told a respected GP in our area at the time (rural NZ) did not vaccinate his children. That was the 1980s. He clearly knew more than we the public knew. It appears Dr Oz declines flu vaccinations for his children. We never hear in the mainstream media of the vaccine injuries … they are there and the industries pay out damages for them every year. An enlightening exercise is to search ‘Gardasil vaccine deaths’ on Youtube.
In the aftermath of the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan, it’s hard to fathom or describe the environmental damage to the Earth
An article here from naturalhealth365: “A relatively small handful of the better heart surgeons in the country would insist upon an examination of the mouth as part of their pre-operative evaluations, especially when contemplating heart valve surgery. If there was a lot of gum disease and/or evidence of any infected teeth, this had to be resolved as best as possible before proceeding with the planned surgery.
The very sound logic for this evaluation was that infection in the mouth could end up infecting the heart post-operatively. The fact that only a few surgeons have followed and continue to follow this protocol remains clear evidence that even our finest and most respected physicians in the country remain largely unaware of this most critical mouth disease-heart disease connection…”
“Chronic periodontal disease has ultimately pointed the way to realize, along with the work of the pioneering researchers noted … [in the article], that the ultimate, most clinically devastating dental infection is the root canal-treated tooth. Huggins and Haley found potent pathogen-generated toxins in 100% of over 5,000 consecutive extracted root canal-treated teeth, while normal teeth extracted for orthodontic purposes demonstrated no such toxicity.
The simple fact, still remaining to be properly realized and embraced, is that nothing really comes close to the negative impact of root canal-treated teeth in terms of the numbers of people who end up with life-altering chronic degenerative diseases and early death”.
RE: Lloyd’s of London excludes coverage for claims caused by exposure to non-ionizing radiation.
“Based on inaccurate information provided by ITRON, Health Canada and Dr. Perry Kendall, you have been telling people that there is no health risk due to prolonged exposure to radiation from smart meters on homes and wifi in school — this despite your having received 100s of studies by independent researchers and many letters from scientists and doctors to the contrary…
“Lloyd’s of London is one of the largest insurers in the world and often leads the way in protection, taking on risks that no one else will. Attached is a recent renewal policy which, as of Feb. 7, 2015, excludes any coverage associated with exposure to non-ionizing radiation….”
“‘The Electromagnetic Fields Exclusion (Exclusion 32) is a General Insurance Exclusion and is applied across the market as standard. The purpose of the exclusion is to exclude cover for illnesses caused by continuous long-term non-ionising radiation exposure i.e. through mobile phone usage.”….
“This means that the Province (that is we, the taxpayer) will be held liable for claims from teachers and parents of children suffering biological effects from wifi in schools, from homeowners exposed to RF from mandated smart meters on homes, and from employees forced to use cell phones or exposed to wifi at work…”
Marton’s central phone mast close to homes & offices
The fact that Lloyd’s will not insure you the user against the harmful effects of these devices speaks volumes. We already had the evidence but as I continually reiterate here, industry does not want you to know … that knowledge would clearly dissuade you from using their devices. The recent post here on the unfortunate UK man enduring the forced installation of a smart meter in his home (he’s now opted for no power in preference) is disconcerting to say the least. Where has our right of choice as free citizens gone? Are we not purchasing power? Do we have no choice about how this is delivered?
If you’re new to the smart meter issue please educate yourself. Arm yourself with the correct information. Unfortunately you will not get this from your powerco. Listen to the professionals, watch the documentaries particularly ‘Take Back Your Power’. Then make informed decisions about how to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Listen to this Public Health Physician explain the health risks of wireless radiation:
(NaturalNews) “A new clinical study has found that just 15 minutes of cell phone talk time radiation exposure can alter the structure and function of the brain, including brain wave activity that is connected to cognition, mood and behavior.
Thirty-one healthy females took part in the study, published in PLOS ONE; all participants were measured twice. On one of the days, the mobile phone was attached to the women’s ears with a sham phone being placed on their chests. On the other day, the mobile phone was attached to the chest and the sham phone to the ear. During each assessment, EEG activity and radio-frequency radiation were recorded….”
The question is asked … why have we not been hearing about the potential effects of cell phone radiation?
“Dr. Devra Davis in her book Disconnect lays the blame fairly and squarely at the telecoms industry, accusing them of war-gaming the science in much the same way that tobacco companies and GMO corporations like Monsanto do.” (from the article)
Not rocket science really when you know how corporations work. Their bottom line is profits not people or any risks to their health. (EnvirowatchRangitikei)
“The suicide rate in rural Waikato tripled as international dairy prices halved, and numbers are expected to rise further.
Six Waikato farmers appear to have taken their own lives in the year ending June 30, 2015, figures released by the Ministry of Justice under the Official Information Act show.
Fraser Farm Finance director Don Fraser was not surprised by the number of suicides, and expected to see more this financial year.
“The drop of income and the sheer weight of debt will probably see that rise over the next 12 months. It is the debt burden that makes them do it. It’s that sinking feeling you get when you get up every day and work for the bank….”
At the mercy of fickle markets this is the sad outcome. People lose hope with the ruin that comes with disasters like flooding and subsequent debt. We were told long ago by men in governments that economic recessions are man made. The banking industry is one that has the ability to enslave and ruin people, caring little for its victims. Witness the foreclosures we see now world wide.
“Birth defects are on the rise in Hawaii, leaving many to wonder if pesticides are to blame – including some pediatricians who are witnessing a spike in birth defects in babies.
In the town of Waimea, pediatrician Carla Nelson has seen at least 9 severe heart malformations in babies in the last five years, 10 times more than the national average. For the past three years, Nelson and other local doctors have found themselves at the center of a controversy over whether a cash crop of GM corn modified to withstand pesticides on four of the six main islands is the cause of an economic boom, or the source of the birth defects and illnesses. [1]…”
The following article and video is from Stop Smart Meters UK. ‘Forcibly’ would be an understatement here. Watching this is quite disturbing to say the least. So in the UK it is clearly possible to force the installation of a Smart (Dangerous) Meter. If you are in any doubts about the safety of these meters watch ‘Take Back Your Power’ doco … there was no prior testing done with the roll out of these devices. In the meanwhile there is plenty of documented evidence, by health professionals, to demonstrate they carry health risks. All there in the doco. A must watch. The gentleman in the video has opted now to go without power rather than have a Smart Meter in his home.
Here in NZ they are not yet compulsory although your powerco will, by way of omission, imply that they are. Post a non-consent notice on your meter box if it is outside your house as I hear often that powercos just turn up and install with neither your knowledge nor your consent. I also hear often of health effects from these devices. Headaches, sinus problems, heart problems … that went away post removal. Once installed it is very difficult to get these removed. For more NZ info check out the stopsmartmeters NZ site or go to our page here.

From Stop Smart Meters! (UK) Youtube channel: This shocking video shows the moment Northern Irishman David Barr, who suffers from a medical condition which sometimes renders him housebound, has a Smart Meter forcibly installed in his property against his consent.
The video suggests that Power NI have acted way beyond their authority by forcibly installing a Smart Meter against a person’s wishes, something that the UK Government has repeatedly admitted cannot and will not happen.
As reflected in a statement by former Energy Minister Charles Hendry (Hansard, 29 November 2011), whilst Energy suppliers will need to take “all reasonable steps to install smart meters for all domestic and smaller non-domestic customers by 2019” – they:
“do not expect suppliers to seek an entry warrant simply to fit a smart meter and it will not be an offence for householders to refuse to accept a smart meter”….
“It’s official. The bits of data that could reveal virtually everything we do offline — in our own homes — are worth TRILLIONS to a wayward global corporate cabal.
Earlier this year, the Director of Grants and Research at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) said of so-named “smart” meters:
“I think the [surveillance] data is going to be worth a lot more than the commodity that’s being consumed to generate the data.” link

These meters are rolling out in NZ currently. Last weekend FB was alive with reports of heavily inflated bills some as high as $2k I noted. A post to follow on that topic this weekend.
Remember Smart Meters (commonly known here in NZ as Advanced Meters, and labeled such) are NOT compulsory. It is generally implied that they are and companies do just turn up and install them if you’re not home. You need to be very proactive and post a notice of non-consent on the meter itself if it’s outside and accessible, in addition to notifying your powerco in writing you do not consent to one being installed. Be aware, once installed it is far more difficult to negotiate removal. You will also be told they are no more dangerous than a mobile phone … this is not true. Watch Josh del Sol’s ‘Take Back Your Power’ documentary to educate yourself on the facts. I have a copy you can borrow if you are in the Rangitikei district. Be forearmed and protect yourself and your loved ones from the known health risks. For more info go here.

Reading this article from preventdisease.com, a heart surgeon with 25 years experience – has to cause you surely to ask the question – ‘what is wrong here?’ As the saying goes, something is not right in the state of Denmark. Pays to research and ask questions. We have a similar scenario going on with cancer treatment. We have professionals who also know something is wrong, who many times stand to lose their certification for going against the flow. The fact is, the medical profession changed its focus from natural healing to pharmaceuticals back in the 1920s and 30s courtesy of the Rockefeller fraternity. As a consequence instead of treating the root cause of our illnesses, we are treating the symptoms … with a pill … at great profit to the pharmaceutical industry. If you don’t believe this watch thetruthaboutcancer website’s documentaries where all of this is confirmed in interviews by medical professionals. Be wise people and read … read the facts, seek out the answers.

Here is the article:
“We physicians with all our training, knowledge and authority often acquire a rather large ego that tends to make it difficult to admit we are wrong. So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong.. As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries, today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact … The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake. The latter of course we insisted would lower cholesterol and heart disease. Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice…The long-established dietary recommendations have created epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the consequences of which dwarf any historical plague in terms of mortality, human suffering and dire economic consequences… The cholesterol theory led to the no-fat, low-fat recommendations that in turn created the very foods now causing an epidemic of inflammation. Mainstream medicine made a terrible mistake when it advised people to avoid saturated fat in favor of foods high in omega-6 fats. We now have an epidemic of arterial inflammation leading to heart disease and other silent killers….
Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before …”

Who Owns the World?
People have been separated from the land planet wide, the root of many of our ills. Less than 15 pc have ever owned the land. This is a crime/injustice that’s been covered up. Read Kevin Cahill’s ‘Who Owns the Planet’ or watch videos of his lectures. Very revealing. The Queen owns one sixth on her own. And has been well active in confiscating lands for eons. Indigenous peoples were frequently made to work for the colonizer by introducing taxes only payable in the colonizer’s currency … presto. Off the land, off traditional means of survival, growing food. Now today paupers on their previously owned lands and growing food for agribusiness. This is why the so called ‘third world’ starves. For an expose on that read Susan George’s ‘How the Other Half Dies’.
In summary, our spiritual connection with the land has been severed, along with our ability to properly nourish our bodies with fresh living food …. and the roots of this state of affairs can be found largely in capitalism and greed for profits … where earth’s land, peoples and resources have all been co-opted for that purpose.
The feature image is from Taihape’s (NZ) Vanessa’s blog here. She is also on our page here along with more info on Ron Finley (also on Youtube) who is quoted as saying ” Growing your own food is like printing your own money”.
From Ecowatch: When you drink a glass of water, you expect it to be clean and pure, not contaminated with invisible toxic chemicals. But nationwide testing has found that 6.5 million Americans in 27 states are drinking water tainted by an industrial compound that was used for decades to make Teflon. The chemical, known as PFOA, has been detected in 94 public water systems. The amounts are small, but new research indicates that it can be hazardous even at the tiniest doses. PFOA and closely related fluorinated chemicals—including PFOS, once used to make Scotchgard—can cause cancer, birth defects and heart disease and weaken the immune system….
Here is more evidence that the poor don’t matter in a market driven capitalist environment. In a wealthy environment you have your food delivered or you drive to the shop. In a poor neighbourhood you either walk for miles or take a bus and can carry home only a small amount. These neighbourhoods typically have no shortage of liquor outlets or fast food stores. Ever enterprising predatory capitalists always milk the poor of the little they do have. The result of course is poor health. In this doco we see a grocery store has become a dialysis centre & no fresh food stores for three miles… “an epidemic” they say … “a global problem” …

Here we have a rant (Human Error) by Japan’s Frying Dutchman on the Fukushima disaster that exposes a few lies by government and others. These guys are impassioned – well worth the listen. Translation included & transcript here and under the video on YT.
Transcript Long ago, human beings lost their true sense of time, and because of this their senses grew dull, and they lost other-dimensional creative powers that would be unimaginable today, like telepathy & advanced powers of thought. Ever since then evil people using the science of destruction, they built civilizations dependent on material things, and created religion to force their self-serving rules on a bewildered populace, while behind the scenes they monopolized energy & built money based economies, snuffing out our powerful natural abilities. Over thousands of years, genetic memory loss set in; after numerous reincarnations, here we are, having completely forgotten those abilities. We all have collective amnesia! Talking about four-dimensional science and philosophy may bore people who have no interest in fantasy, so let me put it simply:
For a long time some people have made money by destroying nature and irresponsibly making dangerous products, all the while using the media to deceive the masses and inflicting horrible pain and suffering on those in harmony with nature.
The electricity powering our lives is no exception. It’s built on the suffering of others. But peer deep into Panora’s Box and you’ll see advanced technologies that harness natural energy without destroying nature. With technologies like solar power and other renewables, we can get all the electricity we need without nuclear power, and cheaply too. We could shut down all the nuclear plants and easily make up the difference by operating our hydroelectric and thermal power plants at full capacity. But powerful interests hide this fact from us. Why? Because of money! Money!
These people are terminally insane.
Power companies get up to about US$13 billion in subsidies from the government to build a nuclear power plant.
Once the location is chosen the power company showers the locals with money. They take the guys to hostess bars, the old people to hot springs. Wine and dine! Wine and dine! And they lie to them about the nuclear plant being good for the local economy. They actually have a manual on how to use money to divide the community into supporters and opponents. Fishermen even sell off their fishing rights for enormous sums. Then there’s a PR barrage that’s nothing but propaganda about safety measures and secret dangerous experiments. Where does the money come from for all that? From your taxes! This is how Japan has aggressively constructed 59 nuclear power plants. That means we are now living with over 50 time bombs strapped to our bodies. If even one of them blows up the entire area around it becomes uninhabitable for all living things, and contamination slowly spreads all over. That’s not pleasant to imagine. Japan built these reactors under the banner of peacefully using nuclear power. But the real reason is that the government wants nuclear weapons.
Right now in Kaminoseki Town in Yamaguchi, Chugoku Electric Power wants to build what would be two of Japan’s largest nuclear reactors, filling in ocean along the beautiful Tanoura coast. For thirty years the people of nearby Iwai Island have fought these plans. They devoted their lives to this cause, and they stopped the construction. These people lived in harmony with their island’s verdant nature for generations. It’s an amazing place with history and wide-open nature. But Chugoku Power wants to ignore all that and force their plans through. ‘Fukushima?’ they say. ‘We didn’t have anything to do with that.’ until only recently they were working on that plant every day. How stupid! And now other companies that shut down their nuclear plants after Fukushma want to restart them. ‘They’re safe’ they say. What do you mean safe? Did a meltdown happen inside your heads? They are terminally insane. With all that chanting of ‘it’s safe, it’s safe’, they’ve brainwashed themselves like people in a religious cult. What idiots! But we’ve been deceived by those idiots, which makes us idiots too. We’re completely caught in their trap! A lot of people on Twitter & the Internet nit-pick what the anti-nuclear people say, but those shallow types don’t understand the situation at all. It’s pathetic! Don’t say you support nuclear power until you know the real history – Hiroshima & Nagasaki. The fisherman on the Daigo Fukuryu-maru who were exposed to lethal radiation from a hydrogen bomb test, the United Nations ‘peaceful use’ campaign starting in 1953 which was just a cover for the Cold War nuclear development race between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. The nuclear energy plans drafted by America and sold to the public by Matsutaro Shoriki’s Yomiuri newspaper & TV station. That’s how uranium came to Japan. Once you know that history, your views will change! Once you see the negative chain reaction that nuclear energy has throughout our society, it’ll make you want to puke! If you have a heart, that is. Television & newspapers are tools for deceiving the public, and it’s reallybad in Japan. The TV news is absolutely horrible.

Only now have they started mentioning plutonium, the most dangerous substance in the world. Fukushima reactor no 3 is a plutonium- thermal reactor, the kind promoted in the Kansai Power commercials starring baseball coach Sen’ichi Hoshino. A reactor that uses plutonium, that’s the one that blew up. But the newspaper headline the next day said that it was a planned stoppage. Pure propaganda. How many people’s lives will they sacrifice to cover up their crimes? Enough already, you bastards! Plutonium is far deadlier than other radioactive materials. You breathe in even just a tiny amount, it attacks your cells and destroys their DNA so they can’t reproduce. That’s the stuff that leaked out but for a long time, those bastards never even mentioned plutonium.
They just kept repeating, ‘there is no immediate health risk’. ‘There is no immediate health risk’.
That phrase should win some kind of propaganda award. This is organized crime committed by a gang of murderers. More lives could have been saved had they disclosed more information, and not just about nuclear power. You TV news people are nothing but mindless cheerleaders for the nuclear industry. Do you have any respect for human life, you stupid morons! You scumbags! Right now, those lying, deceiving bastards aren’t thinking about the Japanese people. They’re desperately trying to think up excuses to avoid taking responsibility for what they’ve done. What a joke! That’s their job. ‘Human error’. Anyone can see right through that crap! The whole world is watching. The whole universe is watching! Now, the world is watching to see how the Japanese will overcome this horror — what Japan’s young people will do, how artists and musicians will express this pain in their art. And the whole world is watching, Japan is in crisis! So this is no time for hair splitting arguments. It’s time to wake up! 9:17 nuclear energy is outdated! The Swedish government was honest with its people. ‘nuclear energy is headed for disaster!’ they said. ‘we can give it up but it will be hard at first’. But the people still said no to nuclear power and now the country is working to get by without it! Japan already has the technology to get by with just natural energy, but that fact is covered up with lies and fearmongering. Because of money! So wake up! How can you be so apathetic? At the Rokkasho nuclear reprocessing plant in Aomori nuclear waste leaked from a 3,000 ton pool. There was too much liquid waste to bury so they dumped it into the ocean. Can you believe that? And they’re hiding that from everyone. There’s so much nuclear material there that if the plant ever exploded , forget about Japan – the whole world would be finished!10:29
The government is hiding so much, and that’s just what they’re hiding about nuclear power. Those recent planned power outages were outrageous. They intentionally did that to fool people into believing they need nuclear power. People died because of those outages, but what’s the point? Japan has so much electrical power that more and more homes and buildings are switching to electricity-only power. Everyone, think about it. Japan has hot springs almost everywhere. So there’s plenty of hot water underground for geothermal energy! Japan is an island nation and we’ve created the technology to generate unlimited energy from the tides. 11:24
You can buy a house but you can’t buy a home, Money buys you a watch, but it can’t buy you time, You can buy a book but you can’t buy knowledge, You can buy a bed but you can’t buy sleep, Money pays the doctor but it can’t cure disease.
Buying electricity destroys nature,
While we played around, engineers designed nuclear power plants. They knew the dangers better than anyone, and they got paid well, so maybe they did the best job they could… with all the lies they’ve told us… irresponsible people have left contaminated waste that will plague the nation for who knows how many generations. The power companies, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, bureaucrats, politicians, bankers, corporate executives, mass media, and government scientists are all chasing money around like characters in a comedy….
We do not need nuclear energy any more! Staying apathetic and gullible will only lead us to destruction! This isn’t about having enough electrical power! Because you can live without electricity. But you can’t live without nature. Irreversible damage has already been done.
You know who we should really feel sorry for? The children! They’re our future.
Love is what we need!
No more nuclear power!

It can take some effort to find a ‘healthy’ commercially-prepared substitute for cow’s milk. One will go through a number of different milk products before even finding which is best; but know this, there is an alternative to conventional cow’s milk that stands out above the rest.
From the Daily Blog … a look at how capitalism works and why the rich are getting richer on the backs of everybody else:
By Douglas Renwick
“There is a standard view of how capitalism is supposed to work given by the media. It goes something like this; capitalism is a system where people come together to freely exchange goods and services, including labour. Businesses compete competitively to give the most efficient outcome, and the profit motive gives incentive for innovation. People who become rich do so because they work hard to offer the market what it wants while the poor do not, so this wealth inequality is to a large extent the natural workings of the market. This is an imperfect but the best possible system.
That is I think the standard view given in the media, and I think most of it can be debunked while the rest can be turned on its head. I’ll be critiquing this view, but also give my own view of how I think Global Capitalism works. I’ll give what I think are realistic and viable solutions to the faults of Global capitalism at the end.
Capitalism is always seeking to make profit, and it was able to make profits in the period from 1945-1971 in the productive sector of the economy, and under this system there was high economic growth which was relatively egalitarian
the productive sector reached a certain capacity in the 1970’s, increasing productivity became less profitable … profits went into the FIRE economy … finance, insurance, real estate
the banking sector became wealthier and got turned into an institution that gambles rather than investing in productive things
the economy is now a system that is normally stagnant, and only grows when it is driven by speculative bubbles which eventually crash
real wages stagnate, as they have in New Zealand since 1984, while corporate profits go way up ……”

Tepco originally claimed that it had done everything possible to protect the nuclear power plant at Fukushima. But we now know that Tepco executives had discussed the need to build up coastal defenses back in 2008 – two and a half years before the tsunami hit Fukushima and caused a triple meltdown.

The promises, which give them the go ahead, include job creation, investment, protection of indigenous plants, donations to local organisations or schools, etc.

The Marton Waste Water Treatment Plant is up for a multi million dollar upgrade as reported recently in the Wanganui Chronicle. It was noted in the article (and locals of course know this) that “…a contributor to the current plant’s failure was leachate (landfill run-off), which was trucked to the treatment plant from Bonny Glen landfill..”
According to RDC’s own report of December 2014“Marton’s WWTP is configured as a domestic/municipal wastewater treatment based upon pond technology. It is not well suited to provide high levels of treatment to significant industrial trade wastes of a complex nature”.
The Chronicle’s article goes on to say that … “The landfill’s owners are now working on pre-treating the leachate and the council’s utility assets manager Joanna Saywell suggested Midwest may be able to fully treat the leachate within a few years.”
The operative words here are “working on”, “may be able to” and “a few years”. This non specificity will allow all parties concerned to drag their feet for quite possibly another decade or so given the wheels of bureaucracy turn very slowly. Note they have dragged their feet for one decade already whilst polluting the Tutaenui stream to who knows what extent … as deputy Mayor “Mr McManaway said it was a worry that records of what was being put through the system [that he serves] had not been maintained.” (Wanganui Chronicle 20/12/14). In fact, with 10 of the required 36 reports over nine years either missing or non-existent, and a decade of largely non-compliance, going by the water testing that did occur, we can fairly safely conclude it’s in a bad state. And the in-stream biota surveys? There’s been none since 2002 … the consent requires one every three years so four are missing. (These surveys tell us the state of the stream’s aquatic life, if any). My two queries in March to RDC asking if there’d be another one hasn’t garnered a response yet.
In December 2014, pre-consent stage, the official reporting of leachate-truck activity was one load every two days:
“Leachate is put into the waste water system about every second day under a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the council and Bonny Glen operators Midwest Disposals Ltd… Some days leachate can contribute almost 70 per cent of the ammoniacal nitrogen levels which regularly exceed consented levels..” Wanganui Chronicle 20/12/14
A person on the truck route commented on the article however that they were seeing the leachate truck go past at least three times a day. A conservative estimate then would make that one round trip a day at least.
Waste water treatment in Marton
Fast forward eight months. The consents are granted to quintuple the landfill size (not quadruple as previously broadcast) with a now increased volume of leachate due to the extended capacity of the landfill. It’s been observed by a local who lives on the truck route, that the leachate tanker is making seven round trips a day on average, and often there are two tankers working bringing that up to twelve round trips a day, six days per week. So we have progressed from an estimated six truckloadsper week to a conservative forty two to seventy two per week. That is quite some increase.
We are certainly going to be needing that multi million dollar upgrade and let’s keep our fingers crossed that Midwest “may be able” to treat the leachate themselves “within a few years” as they’re saying. As Nigel Belsham’s quoted in the article, “… if it was trade waste causing problems to the plant and not domestic waste, the bill should be picked up by industry.”
But then we do have a gentleman’s agreement that it appears, at all costs must be kept. Hopefully RDC will see their way clear to getting an in-stream biota survey soon so we can know how trashed the Tutaenui really is.
If you haven’t surely already deduced this, RDC, like councils everywhere these days, has been placing corporate interests above the interests of both the environment and the people who elect them. These same councils espouse ‘sustainability’ – the new ‘buzz’ word – while in reality their practices are everything but sustainable.
A 13 minute clip that explains the money system. Many notable people have referred to the banking fraternity’s control over the planet … one was Reginald McKenna, who had served as Chancellor of England’s Exchequer. In 1924 he said:
“I am afraid that the ordinary citizen will not like to be told that the banks can and do create money, and they who control the credit of a nation direct the policy of the governments and hold in the hollow of their hands, the destiny of the people”
“All facts in this movie have been independently confirmed. Sources are documented athttp://thrivemovement.comHistory will repeat itself as long as these bankers and their corrupt politicians are in charge…” (Source)
Give me control over a nation’s economy, and I care not who writes its laws
“Meet Dr. Sebi, a pathologist, biochemist and herbalist. He came to the U.S. from Honduras and is on a mission to heal humanity. As it happens, he has been curing some of the most deadly diseases on the planet for almost 30 years. AIDS, cancer, diabetes, lupus and epilepsy are just a few of the ailments he has completely reversed. In fact, he is so committed to his work that he took on the Attorney General of New York in a Supreme Court trial — and won….The judge presiding over the case requested that Dr. Sebi provide one witness for each disease he claimed to have cured. When he instead furnished 70 witnesses to support his argument — showing without a doubt that he did in truth heal all the diseases listed in the ad — the judge declared the doctor not guilty on all counts…”

From the Daily Blog in NZ, a thought provoking look at the world of economics where policy fallout on human populations is of no particular importance. Discussing also the incentives (are there any?) for mothers to leave their babies in day care and take up paid employment. Many are apparently worse off for working full time.
Capitalism is not about free competitive choices among people who are reasonably equal in their buying and selling of economic power, it is about concentrating capital, concentrating economic power in very few hands using that power to trash everyone who gets in their way. (David Korten)
Economists after economist pontificated on whether interest rates and exchange rates are going up or down and why and the virtues of quantitative easing that didn’t happen soon enough, apparently, except in the US. Never a mention of fiscal policy, except the bad effects of increase in GST in Japan…
…of course, there was no mention by the economists of high rates of poverty, , casualisation, low pay and uncertain hours, rampant speculative activity in real estate and growing inequality, even though the IMF and the OECD are regularly warning of the dangers…
When the inevitable downturn produces higher unemployment, more foodbank demand, foreclosures and widespread mental illness, who asks or cares whether the economic system works for low and middle income people and their children?”
Today’s business corporation is an artificial creation, shielding owners and managers while preserving corporate privilege and existence. Artificial or not, corporations have won more rights under law than people have – rights which government has protected with armed force

Recent articles in Nelson have illustrated what can happen following the installation of Smart Meters with accounts coming in at double the normal price and beyond. (Post to come on that one). The Greens in this article have highlighted the nonsensical world of privatisation … a thinly veiled scheme that clearly benefits the corporate world while claiming to benefit all. Remember, we were told the asset sales would get us out of debt (clearly wrong as our debt continues to climb). We were also told that more powercos meant more competition (free enterprise, the market and all that) which would mean lower prices … wrong again.
“…free enterprise, [is] a term that refers, in practice, to a system of public subsidy and private profit, with massive government intervention in the economy to maintain a welfare state for the rich.” Noam Chomsky
Gareth Hughes MP on Friday, August 28, 2015
“New analysis of the financial statements of Genesis, Mighty River Power, and Meridian released by the Green Party today shows that National’s partial privatisation of power companies has cost New Zealand taxpayers $871 million, the Green Party said.
“The latest data shows that National’s sale of 49 percent of shares in the power companies was a massive transfer of wealth from the people of New Zealand to a few select investors, many who live overseas,” Green Party energy spokesperson Gareth Hughes said.
“If the Crown still owned 100 percent of these companies, taxpayers could collectively have earned another $381 million this year alone and a whopping $775 million since the selloff.
“Add to that the $96 million of costs associated with the sale process, including bonus shares to sweeten the deal for private investors, and the New Zealand taxpayer is $871 million worse off because of National’s failed privatisation plan.
“Consumers are hurting because power prices are up 3.8 percent – meanwhile power companies are paying out massive salaries to their CEOs and directors.
“The CEOs of the three partially privatised power companies now all earn over a million dollars each, and Meridian’s CEO gets close to $2 million when extra perks are included.
“Rising salaries for power company CEOs are cold comfort for Kiwi households facing higher power bills,” said Mr Hughes.
Mighty River Power’s announcement today of a special shareholder dividend means it will pay out almost $300 million for the year, and caps off a string of recent profit announcements from the partially privatised power companies. Contact and Meridian are also paying special dividends, while Genesis’ profit doubled from the previous year.
The Green Party has released new analysis, undertaken by the Parliamentary Library, of the financial statements of the recently partially privatised power companies Genesis, Mighty River Power, and Meridian.
It is well documented what GMOs do to the human body (see videos in this article) let alone the animals. (Liver disease is one effect). However, here we see how Monsanto (and WHO) manage to hoodwink the public by ensuring the testing period required is not long enough for any health effects to emerge … yet. As Prof Seralini discovered in his two year long research with lab rats. As to the animals, here in NZ our stock (who knows how much) is being fed GE feed. Two producers I’ve contacted here in NZ who are particularly more humane in their animal treatment couldn’t rule out some of the cheaper feed they acquire (making their businesses economically viable) ‘may’ contain GMOs given they are soy products. So … if they admit they possibly are feeding their stock GE food, then what of the larger factory farmed livestock where cost cutting is a primary objective? You can bet your bottom dollar they will be munching on GE feed. The Green Party has drawn this to the public’s attention numerous times.
“The WHO could have picked any arbitrary number of months to ensure that GMOs were safe, and make sure that the public wasn’t dining on food that would cause serious damage to their intestines, their livers, their reproductive organs, and their brains. But I suppose just THREE months will do just fine when experimenting with the global food supply and global population.”
