Brazilian volunteer in Oxford University’s Covid vaccine trial has died – Astrazeneca claims it was the placebo

The Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) says it was notified of the death during the Oxford vaccine trial on Monday, October 19, and announced the tragic news on Wednesday, Gazeta Brasil reports.
The Federal University of Sao Paulo, which is helping coordinate phase 3 clinical trials in Brazil, separately said that the volunteer was Brazilian.
Brazilian news site Globo reports that the volunteer was just 28 years old.
It has not been confirmed whether the volunteer received a placebo dose or the real vaccine, but Globo claims sources have said the volunteer received a placebo dose.
Anvisa has released little information about the volunteer citing medical confidentiality, but says the clinical trials will continue within the country.

- The Irish Government agreed to impose tough Level 5 restrictions on the country for six weeks
- Measures include shutdown of non-essential retail, ban of public gatherings and limitation of movement
Ireland will be plunged into one of Europe’s strictest lockdowns for six weeks from midnight on Wednesday, despite no new Covid-19 deaths being recorded in the last 24 hours.
Cabinet ministers have agreed to impose Level 5 restrictions which will force most businesses to close, prevent mass gatherings and limit free movement across the Republic until December 1.
The public will be told to stay at home, with exercise permitted within a three-mile radius of their home.

This is not good news. Leaked inside info in the Canadian parliament tells of their plans which 30% of those in the know inside are not happy with. The plan refers to the next wave which Bill Gates of course has been warning us about with a smile (video at link). The info comes from a radio show (HalTurnerRadio) with a breakdown by Terral BlackStar at Youtube (links below). Do read and listen for yourself. Definitely you can listen to Canadian MP Randy Hillier asking the important questions which you can hear are carefully replied to in typical politician fashion (as in saying nothing) by their Minister of Health. I’m noticing lately commentaries saying NZ, Australia & Canada are the early pickings of the New World Order Global Government crew. Hard to argue with when you look at the Police State activity going on. If you want to take over all countries you pick off one at a time and not all of them or the people would all rise up. We’ve long known that NZ is one of those (test cases?) as far back as the lectures by our own Barry Smith during the early ’70s to 2002 (hear him on the New World Order page). His humorous quip (not so humorous now) was always because NZ’s motto is ‘She’ll be right’ … and Australia’s, ‘She’ll be right mate’. Laid back as can be. Question nothing. He would always joke, ‘they wouldn’t try it in France or the farmers would all be out protesting on their tractors’ … we saw this with the Yellow Vests of course. The CV soon shut that one down note. Folks we have the takeover of the world by stealth here using medical martial law. You need to ask yourself why is it the military is required to deliver a voluntary vaccine (that isn’t even here yet … officially ie… hasn’t been & likely won’t be properly tested … and has already severely harmed human guinea pigs because they’ve by-passed animal testing). And… the military is already in place? With regular references to check points and so on. This is the classic case of the frog in the pot of heating water. While Kiwis continue to watch mainstream media and the official narrative while never thinking to question things as this politician in Canada is doing. Hear them all clap at the Minister of Health’s evasive reply. Keeping everybody safe they are. Bravo. Even after the good Minister points out what the Doctors and Scientists are saying about the testing regime! What a joke. The creator of the test told us it was not to be used to test people.
Barry Smith laid out this diabolical plan for world government in minute detail to thousands of people throughout NZ for many years. (These people have been openly recommending one, the Pope being the latest!) He also traveled globally doing the same. They can’t say they weren’t warned.

Government to pay £2m to settle coronavirus testing case
The UK has agreed to settle a lawsuit over how it selected an IT contract for coronavirus testing at its Lighthouse labs.
The BBC understands that the settlement will cost the government up to £2m.
British company Diagnostics AI claimed it lost out to a European rival UgenTec despite spotting some positive coronavirus cases its rival missed.
It sued the government over the decision, claiming the selection process was “unfair and unlawful”.
Lighthouse labs are a UK-wide network of specialist coronavirus laboratories managed by the government and run by private firms. When the labs were set up, companies pitched to analyse the test results.

The dispute was due to be played out in court. It would have meant a public examination of the accuracy and speed of the testing system, at a time when it has come under serious criticism.
But the government has decided to settle the case and will pay Diagnostics AI compensation and most of its legal fees.
However, despite agreeing to the payout, the government has refuted the claims made by Diagnostics AI, saying they are “inaccurate”.
“The tests are reliable and effective, the laboratories that undertake them have been reviewed and assessed by experts and the percentage of false negatives or positives is tiny,” said a Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson.
“This was a commercial dispute over a software contract where a number of factors were considered before it was awarded, which is still subject to final agreement over costs.”
As the contract was worth more than £1m, the BBC understands the settlement including legal costs could amount to around £2m.

Swabs are taken from people at testing sites or home tests and treated with a chemical process that produces a graph. Diagnostics AI claimed UgenTec’s analysis of a trial run of 2,000 samples was flawed. In some cases, it claimed UgenTec found negative coronavirus results, when the results were actually positive or inconclusive.
“The system that they ultimately went with and decided to pay for missed around 50 out of 800 positive [results], so that’s around one in 15, or so, one in 16 – to be precise – positives,” Diagnostics AI’s chief executive Aron Cohen told the BBC.
“Obviously when that translates to hundreds of thousands of samples a day, that’s potentially thousands of missed positives going out every day. So that was really worrying for us.”
UgenTec in return claimed that no patients were affected at all as it was a trial run.
“We provide crucial covid interpretation services to the Lighthouse Labs to help them manage the vast amounts of data they generate. These claims are inaccurate and misleading,” UgenTec’s chief executive Steven Verhoeven told the BBC.
“None of these samples refer to actual results given to patients or the public and to imply any public health impact is wrong. Live tests were not being supported by our software at the time which was in the process of being implemented. As illustrated by independent tests, we have every confidence in our software and the services we provide.”
‘A commercial dispute’
Two non-profit companies owned and funded by the government were also sued by Diagnostics AI – namely UK Biocentre and Medicines Delivery Catapult (MDC), which ran the process to decide which company to use.
Court papers show that between 31 March and 14 April, Diagnostics AI repeatedly requested information about exactly what services were required and how their bid would be evaluated.
Diagnostics AI say it never received the information it asked for. This is refuted by UK Biocentre, which says both providers were given the same information. When the two bids were being considered in early April, the UK was facing what Boris Johnson had called a “moment of national emergency”.
In such urgent circumstances, the law does make provision for the government to buy services without a competitive process, if certain conditions are met.
However, it is understood that both Diagnostics AI and Ugentec had been recommended to UK Biocentre, and so a decision was made to evaluate both offers.
Diagnostics AI says this process was unfair and flawed, but UK Biocentre insists it was fair to both bidders.
A spokesperson for UK Biocentre said: “The allegations are groundless; this was a commercial dispute. The software in question is being used widely in the Lighthouse Laboratories, in some NHS laboratories and abroad.
“External quality assurance has confirmed that the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing in the Lighthouse Laboratories, of which the automated diagnostic software forms part, is performing well.”
A spokesperson for MDC also provided the BBC with a statement: “The full results of evaluation identified UgenTec as a safe and quality provider, able to deliver in high volumes, and with a comprehensive support system in place. It has performed superbly over the past six months, analysing over eight million test results for the nation. The litigation was purely a commercial dispute.”
The BBC understands that investigations were carried out into the claims made by Diagnostics AI, but concluded that concerns over the safety of UgenTec’s software were unsubstantiated.

Rita Thomas was a victim of COVID-19, but she never had the disease.
The vivacious and outgoing 95-year-old, who lived independently until last year and celebrated her most recent birthday in February with friends at a Pasco County diner, willed herself to die two weeks ago because she could no longer handle the pandemic-imposed isolation.
“She said to me: ‘Linda. I’ve had a good life. I am ready to die. I don’t want to live this way anymore. I stopped eating,’ ’’ her daughter Linda Gardnersaid, recalling the conversation she had with her mother in August. Weeks later, her mother was hospitalized for complications from malnutrition.

As we approach the one year anniversary of the novel coronavirus outbreak, we find ourselves facing many unanswered questions. Vaccine trial FAILURE: Second AstraZeneca COVID-19 volunteer develops rare neurological condition
(NaturalHealth365) As COVID-19 vaccine trials continue speeding along, a major pharmaceutical company leading the way is facing heat yet again for subjecting volunteers to these fast-tracked vaccines.
Internal papers from AstraZeneca reveal another victim who has developed a rare and serious condition affecting the nervous system after getting treated with the investigational drug. Of course, AstraZeneca representatives say it’s, “unlikely to be associated with the vaccine.”
But, this news certainly has many people wondering: how long will these trials continue to be allowed to go on?
Dangerous trend: SECOND person suffers a serious health condition during COVID-19 vaccine trial, reports say
Is there an echo in here? Earlier this month, we reported that AstraZeneca paused its UK COVID-19 vaccine trial because a volunteer experienced serious neurological symptoms consistent with a rare inflammatory disease called transverse myelitis. Officials admitted the victim had been injected with the investigational vaccine and not a placebo.
Later, an AstraZeneca spokeswoman said the female participant also happened to have undiagnosed multiple sclerosis, which she claimed had nothing to do with the drug. The phase 3 vaccine trial subsequently resumed.
Now, reports reveal a SECOND female participant has come down with transverse myelitis. She developed symptoms after getting a follow-up dose of the vaccine.
Two cases of a rare and serious neurological condition occurring in the same drug trial – and yet we’re supposed to believe what AstraZeneca says, that the illnesses were ‘unlikely to be related’ to the vaccine.
Meanwhile, at the CDC: “current best estimate” suggests that death rate of COVID-19 is LESS than the flu!
Tell us again why we have to furiously develop a new vaccine and vaccinate the majority of the population before we can get back to “normal” – despite the fact that Dr. Anthony Fauci and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) keep hinting that the novel coronavirus isn’t as deadly as the media firestorm wants people to think it is?
Updated on September 10, the CDC presents on their website five of their “COVID-19 Pandemic Planning Scenarios.” The CDC claims these aren’t predictions but rather simply to “advance public health preparedness and planning.” Yet they label the fifth of their scenarios as their “Current Best Estimate” for how COVID-19 is impacting the country.
Here’s what the CDC says is the current BEST estimate about the infection fatality rate (IFR) of COVID-19:
- 0-19 years: 0.00003
- 20-49 years: 0.0002
- 50-69 years: 0.005
- 70+ years: 0.054
Infection fatality rate refers to the total number of deaths divided by all the people who have the given infection, whether they have symptoms or not. This is in contrast to case fatality rate, which is the total number of deaths divided by the people who have clinical symptoms of the disease.
Those aren’t typos, by the way:
The CDC’s current best estimate is that the IFR for COVID-19 is 0.005 to 0.054 for some of the most “at risk” age groups. This is a lot lower than the IFR for the seasonal flu!
Just read a section from a paper published in March of this year in the New England Journal of Medicine, co-authored by Dr. Anthony Fauci himself:
“If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases [of COVID-19] is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.”
As other sources have pointed out, Dr. Fauci and colleagues misspoke here: they should have used the terminology “infection fatality rate” rather than case fatality rate. Regardless, the implications are shocking.
And sure, lots has changed since March 2020, but even so, the U.S. government’s “current best estimate” is still directly in line with Fauci’s hypothesis … yet here we are: many places still on lockdown and our country being told that only a hastily developed vaccine (for a virus which may be less deadly than the seasonal flu) can save us.
The question remains: do our current circumstances justify the kind of response being put forth by so-called “health experts?” Or, is there another agenda being played out on the general public?

Delivery firms have received guidance from Trump administration officials to prepare freezer farms in the heartland and get ready to load vaccines onto trucks no later than Nov. 1.
I told you months ago to be ready for the time when the vaccines begin to roll out, because there will be many, many companies and organizations pushing one and the pressure for you to begin receiving the shots will be intense. Just think how much pressure has been applied to get you to wear a mask everywhere you go, multiply that by a factor of 100, and you will be just about there. Now we have a time frame, the beginning of November. Isn’t it funny how the real driver of science always seems to be politics? But I digress.
We were told in the beginning that everyone on earth will need to receive a vaccination in order to ‘beat COVID’, then after they let us chew on that for awhile, they told us that a single shot was suddenly not enough. (Imagine that, no vaccine yet available and already they determined that one won’t do the trick.) They say we now need to receive multiple shots, and the CDC has ordered the nation’s governor’s to begin creating Vaccine Distribution Sites. Will the biometric digital identification be done in the same location, I wonder? So many questions, so little time, and it gets worse.
