Study: U.K. rivers are filled with fish that are coked up, high on party drugs, and loaded with pesticides

Pollution happening world wide – filth offloaded into waterways since day dot practically, I recall warnings not to eat the shellfish back in the 1950s. In NZ I noted, an application for consent to dump sewage into the Manawatu River was back in the late 1800s. What other ‘animal’ on the planet shits in their food basket except (some) humans? (Natural News) Are your fish on drugs? New research from King’s College London confirms that river-dwelling wildlife in the U.K. are being poisoned with a laundry list of drugs and chemicals — ranging from cocaine to pesticides. The findings have left scientists in absolute shock and dismay, even though similarly grim scenarios have already played out in the United States. Indeed, it would appear that waterway pollution is a major problem for developed countries — especially for the wildlife that resides in such areas.

In the U.S., the primary drivers of waterway drug pollution are simple: Excretion and toilet-flushing. At least on this side of the pond, most drugs find their way into water systems after being excreted in human waste — or after someone has flushed their unused medication. In the United Kingdom, it’s suspected that legal and illegal ties to waste systems are behind the influx of waterway pollution.

Fish filled with cocaine

As Daily Mail reports, scientists from King’s College London and University of Suffolk joined forces to survey rivers from rural Suffolk County. In all, samples from 15 different river sites were tested — and all of them tested positive for illicit party drugs. In shrimp, the researchers even found traces of ketamine and other pharmaceuticals.

Fifty-six different chemicals were found in the fish and shrimp, with cocaine and lidocaine being the two most commonly found drugs, followed by ketamine. Lidocaine is a legal drug often used by the dental industry as a numbing agent — but as Daily Mail explains, it is also used for illicit purposes.

Some parents believe the lessons – part of a controversial new sex and relationships teaching programme called All About Me – are ‘sexualising’ their young children.

One couple told last night how they were so disturbed they withdrew their sons from lessons at a school where the programme is already being taught.

All About Me is being rolled out across 241 primaries by Warwickshire County Council and could be adopted by other local authorities next year as part of the Government’s overhaul of Relationship and Sex Education (RSE).

Family campaigners and religious groups warned that vague guidelines issued by the Department for Education meant schools could soon be providing sexual material to young children that many parents would consider inappropriate.

Even politicians who had supported the RSE legislation expressed concern. Tory MP David Davies said: ‘I and many other parents would be furious at completely inappropriate sexual matters being taught to children as young as six. These classes go way beyond the guidance the Government is producing and are effectively sexualising very young children.’

Documents obtained by The Mail on Sunday detail how All About Me classes involve pupils aged between six and ten being told by teachers that there are ‘rules about touching yourself’. An explanation of ‘rules about self-stimulation’ appears in the scheme’s Year Two lesson plan for six and seven-year-olds.

Under a section called Touching Myself, teachers are advised to tell children that ‘lots of people like to tickle or stroke themselves as it might feel nice’. They are also instructed to inform youngsters that this may include touching their ‘private parts’ and, that while some people may say this behaviour is ‘dirty’, it is in fact ‘very normal’.

However, the youngsters are warned it is ‘not polite’ to touch themselves in public – it is an activity they should do when alone in the bath, shower or in bed.

In the same lesson, children are given scenarios which they must judge to be ‘OK’ or ‘not OK’.

In one, pupils are told that when a girl called Autumn ‘has a bath and is alone she likes to touch herself between her legs. It feels nice’.

At this point, teachers are advised to remind the students of the ‘rules about self-stimulation’.

The guidance on touching is repeated in lesson plans for Years Four and Five, involving pupils aged eight to ten.

As part of the Government’s RSE reforms, all primary schools will be required to teach compulsory relationships education from next September. It includes topics about families, friendships, online relationships, privacy and ‘being safe’. Sex education tailored to the needs of their pupils is also recommended, but not mandatory.

Warwickshire has introduced relationship lessons in some primaries ahead of the nationwide launch, including sessions addressing ‘self-stimulation’. From next September, parents will not be able to withdraw children from these lessons.

Parents at Coten End Primary School in Warwick met sex education consultant Jonny Hunt, one of the architects of the All About Me scheme, in June and raised concerns about some of its content.

Asked why ‘self-stimulation’ appeared in the Year Five lesson plans and why it was not in the non-compulsory sex education element of the programme, he said: ‘Actually we refer to self-stimulation or self-soothing throughout the programme in earlier years as well. This is not sex education but actually information around safe and appropriate touching. However uncomfortable adults may find it, children of all ages will self-stimulate from time to time. They may do this when anxious or simply because it feels nice.’

An expert in weapons systems Mark Steele speaks on 5G

Mark Steele from Gateshead in Newcastle, Mark’s background is an expert in weapon systems, an inventor of weapon systems. Mark shares that 5G in the UK leads back to China, Chinese war weapon technology being installed in the UK. He says that Lloyd Brokers won’t even insure 5G or “Smart Meters”. WiFi is also uninsurable, and Israel won’t allow WiFi in schools in Israel due to the damage this technology can cause.

In this presentation Mark shares that 5G is “illegal”, and does not submit to any international standards. In it he describes all of the health issues in Gateshead associated with 5G technology.

Militarizing academia? UK university receives £400k from UK military for ‘cultural advice’ – report

The British MoD has reportedly paid a UK university at least £400,000 ($500,000) for “cultural advice” on how to operate in former colonies, leading to accusations of the “militarization of academia.”

The freedom of information (FOI) requests obtained by student group, Decolonizing Our Minds, revealed that hundreds of thousands of pounds was paid by the British military to the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London since the end of 2016, according to the Morning Star.

The money has been dished out by the MoD’s Defense Cultural Specialist Unit (DCSU), a body set up in 2010 after the failed wars of Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s gone towards academic staff teaching the history and culture of former colonies in Asia, Africa and the Middle East to military personnel, according to the paper.

The revelations have prompted an angry response from a spokesperson for SOAS Students’ Union, who branded the university’s engagement with the military as “outrageous.”

“We would like to join the Decolonizing Our Minds collective in condemning SOAS for supporting the militarization of academia. It is outrageous that… the school is still engaging in such projects…”

In February, a SOAS anthropologist gave military staff an overview of the “war in the Sahel” region – an area covering a number of countries across the African continent.

On Monday, the now-former defense secretary Penny Mordaunt announced that 250 British troops were being deployed to Mali as peacekeepers “in recognition of the increasing instability in the Sahel region.”

A spokesperson for SOAS rejected allegations that they were “militarizing higher education or perpetuating a colonial approach between the UK and other nations.”

Mark Steele, a campaigner [against 5G], has been highlighting the dangers of a secret 5G rollout by Gateshead Council where residents are complaining of increased illness and Cancer in the affected area. There’s enough evidence to conclude the new smart 5G arrays on the top of new LED lampposts emit Class 1 Radiation frequencies and should be treated as a danger to the Public.

Gateshead Council ignorantly rebutted clear evidence and created false allegations on social media posts and printed leaflets stating that Mark Steele is spreading pseudo science and that the arrays are not dangerous or 5G: “Please be assured that there is no scientific basis or credible evidence for any of these scare stories about street lights causing cancer and other illnesses.”

They misused Police Powers to gag Mark Steele and yesterday he left a free man and Gateshead Council to fork out £11k of taxpayers money to cover the court cost amounting to woeful ignorance. In Court, none of the Council Officers could explain what 5G is; and their leading Government expert refused to attend the Court hearing. In conclusion, the Judge refused to gag Mark, stating:

“The public have a right to know.”

Britain’s first farmland worm survey has revealed that nearly half of English fields lack key types of earthworm and may help explain the alarming decline of one of the country’s most loved songbirds.

The citizen science project, in which farmers dug for worms in their own fields, has prompted 57 per cent of them to pledge to change their soil management practices – a move that may benefit the song thrush, for whom worms are a vital food source.

The English population of the song thrush, popular for both its voice and its habit of using stones as an “anvil” to smash the shells of its other favourite food – snails – declined by more than 50 per cent between 1970 and 1995, leading to it being listed as a species of conservation concern.

Note, I and some of our readers have been watching these lamps here in NZ. They came & changed all the bulbs very recently in the Horowhenua, and I heard Whanganui as well. Have heard reports of kids being ill following that in Whanganui at least. I have heard also that some of them have cameras. These are lamps featured in the smart city (agenda 21) models & will link to the incoming 5G. Supposed to assist with traffic flow, parking etc among other things. That’s the ostensible rationale for their existence. Locally, feedback suggests it is control of dimming & brightening the lights. They are certainly now way brighter. Watch out for them in your neighbourhood.

Radiation given off by state-of-the-art street lamps is wreaking havoc on the residents of Gateshead, according to local Mark Steele.

He said people living in the area are experiencing symptoms of insomnia, nose bleeds and several women have even endured the horror of stillbirths since the introduction of LED lamps that he believes emit 5G radiation.

In his circle alone, Mr Steele, 58, is aware of three women have lost their children since the lights were installed in September 2016, with one giving birth to a deformed child that survived just three hours.

Mr Steele, who was part of the IEEE, which claims to be ‘the world’s largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity’, said: ‘We are seeing babies dying in the womb as these transmitters are situated outside people’s bedroom windows. It’s a humanitarian crisis.’

Earlier this week Gateshead council put out a Facebook post encouraging people to ignore ‘conspiracy theories’ about the dangers of 5G radiation, adding ‘there is no scientific basis or credible evidence for any of these scare stories’.

In a Facebook post yesterday, Gateshead Council dismissed concerns over the borough’s street lights as ‘entirely false conspiracy theories’ with ‘no scientific basis or credible evidence’

According to Professor Ulrich Warnke, from the University of Saarland, EMF radiation, which is given out by light transmitters, causes disruption to the body’s nitrogen monoxide system, which keeps cells healthy and controls gene expression.

The European Academy for Environmental Medicine (EUROPAEM) – EMF working group notes such radiation has been linked to cancer, insomnia and mental-health disorders.

UK telecoms regulator Ofcom reportedly plans to launch 5G services, such as lamps and cell towers, throughout Britain by 2020. There are rumours Gateshead is taking part in a ‘secret Government trial’ by rolling out the technology in the borough before then.

‘Such miscarriages didn’t occur before the lamps appeared’

Mr Steele said: ‘We’ve got people bleeding from the nose in my locality.

‘We’ve got people who can’t sleep from neurological disorders.

‘What about the poor women across Gatehead who are losing babies at nearly full term?

‘What about the children who will develop cancer from this 5G roll out?’

‘Microwave radiation increases miscarriages. These didn’t occur before the lamps appeared.’

Mr Steele claims EMF’s damaging effects are evident in the loss of wildlife from his local area.

While driving around Gateshead, which Mr Steele claims has more than 37,000 EMF-emitting lamps, he said: ‘[There are] no small birds in [the] surrounding trees.

‘The sparrows have been annihilated; they’ve wiped out the flying insects.’

Gateshead Council denies ‘completely false’ claims

In a Facebook post, which has been shared more than 1,200 times, Gateshead Council announced yesterday: ‘Street lights will not induce miscarriages in pregnant women, or cause insomnia, or nosebleeds, and they are not killing all the birds and insects.’

The post adds the borough is not taking part in ‘secret Government trials’ before 5G is rolled out nationwide.

It adds the council has been advised by Public Health England, which reviewed guidance issued by bodies including the World Health Organization, and confirmed the technology carries no health risks.

The post urges people share the statement with those ‘badly frightened’ by the claims and ends with ‘the more people who understand that they are completely false, the better’.

Despite Gateshead council’s claim that they are not using 5G, Mr Steele said: ‘The transmitter operates at 868 – 870 MHz. That is a specific 5G spectrum.

‘The increase in transmitters even if they did operate at 2G – 3G, as the council have stated, would make them 5G’.

Does science support EMF’s risks?

Previous studies have linked such radiation to ‘internal stress’, which may lead to genetic damage that can cause expectant mothers to miscarry.

Those exposed to the highest levels of EMF radiation are 48 per cent more likely to lose their baby than women exposed to the lowest amounts, according to a 2017 study by the Kaiser Permanente Division of Research in Oakland.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends MF radiation, to which everyone is exposed to to some extent, be studied for its effect on pregnancies.

The WHO classifies EMF as a ‘possible human carcinogen’ but does not consider electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) a condition. EHS is a claimed sensitivity to EMF, leading to headache, fatigue and stress.

Commenting on the matter, The Parliamentary Assembly from the Council of Europe, said: ‘Waiting for high levels of scientific and clinical proof before taking action to prevent well-known risks can lead to very high health and economic costs, as was the case with asbestos, leaded petrol and tobacco.’

What is being done about it?

Researchers from a network known as EMF Scientists, which includes doctors from the University of Columbia, are appealing to the UN to encourage the WHO to develop stricter EMF guidelines, while also educating the public on the risks.

In January 2015, the French parliament adopted a comprehensive law that protects the general public from excessive exposure to electromagnetic waves.

Among other things, the legislation has banned Wi-Fi in nurseries for children under three years old. It also requires primary schools teaching children under 11 to only turn Wi-Fi on when it is being used for specific lessons.

As of February 2016, 220 scientists from 42 countries have signed an international Appeal, directed to the UN and WHO, calling for protection from EMF exposure.

According to EUROPAEM, the only treatment for EMF-related illnesses is to eliminate or reduce the radiation source.

It has changed by increments, so much that many are dismayed & cannot understand why. This lecture goes right back to the roots. To Cecil Rhodes who made no secret of his desire for the English to rule the world, something he believed would benefit the world. That is all well documented in his own writings. Not well advertised today of course. And so we see much of his modus operandi in the colonial (and ongoing) rape & pillage of many nations. Returning to the present day however, as G. Edward Griffin describes, the plan (as outlined in the writings of Carroll Quiqley who had access to the plans) has been perpetuated through the Rhodes Scholarships. It was funded by Rhodes. Bill Clinton was a Rhodes scholar. The society of insiders remained nameless Griffin explains. That way nobody can discuss them. And in our current era their plans (which can now be seen in plain sight) are coming to fruition. They have been carefully dismantling the sovereignty of the nations via their financial trickery to the degree we are all indebted to them. The borrower becomes servant to the lender. The series of 1080 poisonings in 1963 that led to the UK & the EU banning the deadly substance

The Smarden 1080/1081 poisoning is important as an incident because it led to the banning of this chemical in the UK and later the EU. A ‘large number’ of rats and other animals died as a result of a poisoned pony used as pet food and at least 20 horses and cattle died as a result of the contaminated water near a 1080 pesticide factory. From my own read of the article & the poisonings around the factory, there were 78 domestic animals poisoned (cats & dogs), seven sheep, 20 odd cows & several calves, one goat and two guinea pigs. The forgotten story of how a toxic spill and a book launched Britain’s environmental movement

Today we take for granted an awareness of environmental matters, but this was not always the case. It could be said that in Britain there was a moment when that environmental consciousness arrived. When in 1963 some farm animals in the parish of Smarden in Kent became sick and died, suspicions fell on a nearby pesticide factory run by a division of Rentokil Laboratories. The events that followed amounted to one of the first environmental scandals in contemporary British history – one that would galvanise the environmental movement.

It became clear that the factory, a large shed in the middle of farmland, was manufacturing toxic chemicals and that a leak of one of these, fluoroacetamide, led to Britain’s first documented livestock mass poisoning. The incident might have passed by as only a historical footnote, but instead the Smarden leak quickly became a national concern with international implications, and has cast a long shadow across the approach to intensive agriculture in the UK in the years since.

Part of why this incident had such major repercussions is due to timing, coming as it did at the same time as American writer Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring was first published in the UK. Seen as the first polemic of the environmental movement, Carson’s book was a significant catalyst to the emergence of modern environmentalism on both sides of the Atlantic.

An ecological narrative arrives

Local veterinarian Douglas Good had unique knowledge of fluoride poisoning having worked with a leading expert in South Africa and on cases of animals affected by industrial fluoride poisoning in England. Taking his cue from Carson, Good disseminated what he called a “short story” about the incident to the press, putting across the Smarden incident as not simply a local industrial waste spill, but as deadly evidence of the pervasiveness of toxic pesticides in the environment. Acknowledging his inspiration, Good concluded his narrative by declaring that the “subject of Rachel Carson’s book Silent Spring had become a reality here in the heart of the Garden of England”.

The media placed the Smarden incident within a Carson-inspired ecological critique of the dangers of an intensive, industrial approach to agriculture. Good, like Carson, was a trained scientist. Like her, he raised concerns about technocracy – governmental administration underpinned by scientific and technological expertise. As the Smarden incident unfolded, it highlighted the risks and hazards which accompanied the government’s commitment to industrial development. Tensions arose between veterinarians, government scientists, local government, media, and business interests.

A chemical double agent

While the use of inorganic poisons as pesticides stretches back to antiquity, large-scale use of organic pesticides is a 20th-century phenomenon. Fluoroacetamide is a toxic organic pesticide with nefarious origins.

The two world wars fostered a massive growth of the chemical industry, and fluoroacetamide was a pesticide that arose from the search for lethal chemical weapons. After the war it was approved for use as a poison for use against rodents and insects – it was not uncommon for the science, technology, institutions, and language of chemical warfare to be redirected to the problem of agricultural pest control during peacetime. But by the time of the Smarden incident in the early 1960s, the origin of these chemicals was seen as damning evidence of the perniciousness of the military-industrial complex and its impact on the environment.

The Smarden (1080/1081) Poisoning, UK – 1963

I live and practice in Tenterden near the village of Smarden in the Weald of Kent where
there is a small factory, which makes orchard sprays.
In January 1963, a man who worked at the factory brought a four-month old Labrador
puppy to my surgery. It was having convulsions and after treatment appeared to be
making an uneventful recovery. Two weeks later the puppy was brought back to the
surgery, together with its litter brother. Both were dead, having had fits earlier in the day.
The owner suspected poisoning and wanted a post mortem examination. I explained the
difficulties of this unless one knew what poison to suspect, and reluctantly he went away
not knowing what had killed his puppies which had been so well that morning.
On Benenden Fair Day, a Saturday in mid-May, I was called to GREAT OMENDEN FARM
where a client had lost five sheep suddenly. They were being loaded for sale. A few
minutes before they appeared normal and just sank to the ground and were dead. This
was a mile from the factory. The post-mortem examination revealed nothing of
significance to indicate the cause of death. I was baffled. The Veterinary Investigation
Centre at Wye had closed down for the weekend. A sixth sheep died at Benenden Fair and a seventh with the new owner at Rye. Sheep can die suddenly from a number of infectious diseases but there was no reason to suspect any of these.
The farm manager asked me whether I had heard about three of his neighbour’s cows,
which died a few days before. This was Mr. Jull and his sons Cyril and Norman at Roberts
Farm. It was a fine afternoon and this was my last visit of the day, so we took a walk along a stream, which ran through his neighbour’s land. We noticed that the further we went upstream, the less clear the water became. The vegetation in the ditches was black and dead. The stream originated alongside the factory, which made pesticides. The water on which the cattle and sheep depended for drinking water became suspected. Water
samples were collected and internal organs from the dead sheep were taken to the County Analytical Laboratory at Maidstone. Telephone calls to my neighbouring veterinary practice at Ashford established that they had been attending three cows at Roberts Farm. We were mystified. They knew the factory made methyl bromide, and one of the ponds smelt of bromide.
The following day, Sunday, I was called urgently to attend a goat at Limes Land Farm
which lay directly across the main road from the factory. This client used to work there
and I asked him what they made. Amongst the many pesticides he mentioned was
fluoroacetamide (1081), a rat poison. The goat was trembling and in a convulsive state.
She died a few hours later. Many meetings transpired between the Ashford veterinary practice, the factory manager and myself. Analytical test results bean to come through. Fluorides were present to the extent of 5 parts per million, but bromides were a hundred times more. Sulphuric acid was also present in the water. The sheep specimens revealed no chemicals of any significance. Testing of the ditches and ponds for bromides were carried out at intervals.
The acid had been neutralized by the factory management with washing soda and only
bromides appeared to remain. Testing for fluorides was abandoned in view of the alarming quantities of bromide present. The Kent River Board, responsible for the
prevention of pollution of watercourses was alerted. The factory manager told me that
fluoroacetamide could not possibly have got into the ditches, but he was able to account
for the bromides and acid. The black chemical residue from the manufacture of
fluoroacetamide had been pumped out onto the factory land for months and the Kent
River Board assured me that this could only be carried downwards into the soil.
All ditches and ponds on Great Omenden, Kelsham and Roberts Farms were fenced off to
prevent access by livestock. The remainder of the young Friesian herd on Roberts Farm
was kept under close observation by the Ashford veterinary surgeons. No more deaths
occurred and we felt a little easier. We had at least prevented further deaths. Mr. Lowe, the farmer at Great Omenden, also kept pigs, poultry and cattle, as well as two
pet dogs, one of them a sturdy and obedient foxhound. A month after the sheep deaths,
and after all acid had disappeared from his ponds and ditches, the foxhound was taken ill at night. I will use the housekeepers words:- “At 1 am he jumped onto my bed, a thing he never does…his eyes staring and big…trembling a little and teeth bared as he panted and seemed mad…I was frightened…I let him out of the bedroom and he fell downstairs…he stumbled out of doors and went onto the green…there he fell over, head bent backwards and his legs kicking as he gasped for air…a horrible noise from his throat as he breathed…his eyes were very big…then he got up, looking wildly around, then shot away and we did not see him again alive.”
His actions were suggestive of fearful hallucinations. The following morning he was
found drowned in a pond. A post-mortem examination in the forecourt of my surgery
showed only the signs of death from drowning, and the big meal he had eaten the evening before was undigested in his stomach. The owner could not accept my post-mortem certificate. What had caused the madness before he bolted away in terror? I explained this as being due to severe abdominal pain and colic. The dog had been out hunting the previous afternoon and given a big meal on his return that evening, when he was in an exhausted condition. Mr. Lowe was still not satisfied. He had lost sheep, his neighbour had lost cattle, this was still poisoning! But how could it be? The water analyses for acid and bromide were almost normal, and the bromides, if responsible, would only have a sedative effect and not one of stimulation. Doubt grew in my mind. The Veterinary Investigation Centre was not so concerned with dogs, and besides they would be reluctant to intervene as litigation might be involved. Meanwhile the cows at Roberts Farm were reported to be normal to the casual observer.
Cyril Jull knew their milk yields had fallen, they were less alert than usual, and they were easily tired. If made to hurry, they would stop and pant like a dog. A few calves, which were born strong and healthy, died in convulsions before they were a few hours old. Mr. Patterson, the Ministry Veterinary Surgeon at Wye was again pressed to come to our aid. Yes, he was willing to do so if we could tell him what poison to look for. The factory sold scores of pesticides, from the more complex chlorinated hydrocarbons, DDT,
Lindane, Parathion, down to the simpler copper, arsenic, zinc and sulphur ones. Was one
to start at the top of the list and work down, or try one’s luck with a pin? The de la Warr
Laboratories at Oxford offered me their help and in July a team of three visited Tenterden and took apparatus out to Roberts Farm. Within minutes of setting up their apparatus they diagnosed fluoroacetate (1080), much to the surprise of the farmer and myself.

It has always been clear that the Alder Hey children’s hospital sought to accelerate the death of Alfie Evans while silencing his parents through a sustained attack consisting of threats and intimidation tactics. Now, Life Site News is report that Alfie Evans was injected with four different drugs by hospital staff just two hours before he died. This, of course, was after several days of being starved to death and denied water. Virtually the entire corporate-controlled media has withheld this information from the public for a variety of nefarious reasons that I will discuss in another post.

Alder Hey hospital doctors had previously conveyed to the Evans’ family in a legal document how they intended to use a drug cocktail that included Midazolam and Fentanyl as part of Alfie’s “end of life care plan.” Side effects of the drugs included respiratory depression. Tom Evans called it an “execution plan” for his son.

Keep in mind that the hospital forced Alfie’s parents to read a so-called “hostage letter” to the press, and they stated that the family would be punished because of the poor attitude of the parents who apparently didn’t go along with the hospital’s plan to murder their baby. As LifeSiteNews reports:

The day prior to Alfie’s death, Tom Evans read to the press outside the hospital what is now being called by many a “hostage letter.” In what appeared to be a forced statement, Tom read out a letter calling all the supporters of Alfie to go home and resume their lives. He thanked the hospital staff for their care of Alfie, even though just hours earlier he had attempted to have them charged with conspiracy to murder his son.

For this study, the brain tissue of 5 persons ranging in age from 15 to 50 was tested. The amounts of aluminum were found to be extraordinarily high as compared with people not diagnosed with autism. Abnormal amounts of aluminum were found in the cells of the vasculature, meninges and white and gray matter of all subjects tested.

And, this research was published in the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology.

We had Key keeping in step with the arms trade not so long ago. Keeping up with big brother Amerika (that country that has been at war 93% of the time – 222 out of 239 years – since 1776). My Kiwi Veteran father used to say wars would never end because wars make money, he who lied about his age in order to join his four brothers and go fight for ‘King & country’ as was the lie spun to young cannon fodder back in the day. These advocates of war who profiteer from it should be sent to the front lines themselves, they and their children. Although now the brave soldiers are killing people including civilians from their armchairs with drone warfare. We’ve come so far haven’t we? Killing’s become a very fine art indeed. I heard the other day there’s a Lockheed Martin Factory in the Wellington region now. Same corporation that has its fingers in the Rocket Pad pie up the East Coast. Key got us well into those corporate pockets.

Anyway Aus is set to excel at the weapons trade & become one of the world’s ‘top dogs’. Being top dog is really important in the fake corporate world of profits & faceless, mindless killers of all things beautiful. Well in my opinion anyway. They’re going to soon be the death of us all. Australia is set to become one of the world’s largest arms exporters under a controversial Turnbull government plan.

The prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, has unveiled a new “defence export strategy” setting out the policy and strategy to make Australia one of the world’s top 10 weapons exporters within the next decade.

Hailing it a job-creating plan for local manufacturers, the Coalition says Australia only sells about $1.5bn to $2.5bn in “defence exports” a year and it wants the value of those exports to increase significantly.

It has identified a number of “priority markets”: the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific region, Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.

It will set up a new Defence Export Office to work hand in hand with Austrade and the Centre for Defence Industry Capability to coordinate the commonwealth’s whole-of-government export efforts and provide a focal point for more arms exports.

A $3.8bn Defence Export Facility, to be administered by the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation, will provide the finance local companies need to help them sell their defence equipment overseas.

A new Australian Defence Export Advocate position, set up to support the Australian Defence Export Office, will provide industry with the constant high-level advocacy needed to promote Australian-made weapons overseas.

Many people are wondering what really caused Fukushima. While we can look into the geologic studies that were taken prior to the Daiichi event, outlining the active 200 meter fault line that Honshu Island rests right on top off, we are obliged as citizens to look even deeper, more so with the admission of an anonymous U.S. government nuclear official that radiation leaking from the plant just 100 meters away is “astronomical.”

Uranium can be mined for some medical purposes and to make electricity, but its main purpose was and is to fuel nuclear warfare against the world. Just six mines provide 85 percent of the world’s uranium and guess who owns the mineral rights to that land?

It may be surprising to realize it is none other than the Queen of England.

Gould told the world the about the extent of this combative totalitarianism in his book, “The Enemy Within: the High Cost of Living Near Nuclear Reactors” that the British royal family, especially the Queen herself. She privately owns investments in uranium through Rio Tinto Zinc., the mining company, originally named Rio Tinto Mines. Ronald Walter Rowland, the Queen’s “buccaneer,”allegedly created this entity for the British Royal family in the late 1950s.

Furthermore, without the book “Royal Fortune,” which led to royal palace scrutiny, nobody would have known about the Queen’s Civil List “surplus.” The £35 million would have followed centuries of Civil List surpluses into the royals Swiss accounts. This is where she hid her uranium investments and the spoils of her ultranationalist, perhaps anti-human agenda….

The Abandonment of a Community

Initially, I wasn’t going to write anything on this tragedy, I figured there would be plenty of analysis as to the whys and the wherefores of a building turned into a funeral pyre but I’ve yet to see the word Austerity used once, just once, in connection with this tragedy, which as usual in this world always impacts the most on working class communities, especially the poor, wherever it occurs.

Instead, we got endless hours, days of BBC hand-wringing, focusing almost exclusively on the (heroic) efforts of a devastated community, ignored and forgotten by their council and the government, with those damn cameras peering into peoples’ grief and ultimately, anger, made all the worse by the state’s total indifference to this calamity.

It took three days for the Prime Minister, Theresa May to visit the site and she had to do it under police guard! It’s only today, now four days later, that the government has finally set up some kind of command centre to deal with distraught relatives and friends of the dead, injured and missing (estimates now put the number of dead as at least 70).

If there’s anything that illustrates the murderous endgame of neoliberalism and what it does to people, this is it! But this is also Baghdad and it’s Damascus and a dozen other places around the globe getting a dose of democracy. Here it’s simple neglect powered by greed but it’s committed by the same governments, the same people who have abandoned wholesale, millions of people in their own backyards and slaughtered millions around the planet.

If you think that your government wouldn’t do this to you, think again. This info was broadcast by BBC but is no longer in their archives. It is clear evidence your government would do this and you likely thought it belongs in that handy ‘conspiracy’ category. There’ve been a lot of events gone into the ‘conspiracy’ basket of late … or is that the ‘too hard’ basket? Banker Key is Quietly Oiling the US War Machine

Our attention was recently drawn to the announcement by Prime Minister Key’s American friends (those friends whose bank he has shares in & has us heavily indebted to) of their contemplating a compulsory draft of their women to the war machine. Most of us are aware I’m sure of Key’s allegiance to the stars and stripes, but does his allegiance have any bounds I wonder?

Stepping back a little, I’ve noticed lately a few changes happening in Aotearoa that have been overshadowed somewhat by the current housing crisis. A convenient diversion. With thousands of Kiwis homeless, 33,000 homes purchased by offshore speculators sitting empty in Auckland, and thousands of state homes being flicked off to real estate interests (and whatever happened to the sales to other social housing providers?) the government/corporation is now offering $5000 to beleaguered families to migrate to the provinces! Quite a bit of social engineering going on here by all appearances … and Key says they’re going to fix the problem with his new $1 billion initiative. Some predictable lollipops with election year approaching.

He has also recently announced however, that he is set to spend an incredible $20 billion on our defence force capability. One billion on the housing crisis and twenty times that on the military? Clearly, that is where Prime Minister Key’s priorities lie. Not at home with the homeless, rather, abroad fighting the enemies of the United States of America. That nation that has killed 20 million people in 37 nations since World War II.

As anybody who does their research knows, the well oiled US war machine is a corporate machine. (And the US of course is not the only country that profits from the arms trade. The British Royals (and here) are not averse to trading in blood money either). Major General Smedley Butler, a US authority on that topic… having served more than three decades in the military … wrote a book about the insights he gained therein. Wars are essentially bankers’ wars. Corporate wars.

We have all been well conditioned to believe these wars are for ‘King and Country’ … as our beloved forbears were, 70 odd million of whom died in the last World War … or, nowadays, wars against terrorism, the ones that started with the very dodgy 9/11 that looked extremely like a controlled demolition. These wars, as ever, are ostensibly about imposing ‘democracy’ on countries that didn’t request it, while really about siphoning off and profiting from their resources.

The war machine is an effective time-tested tool of certain wealthy families … the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers and their ilk. Wars to warmongers are “worth it” because they make money … lots of it. Make no mistake, this is blood money. Nobody of course highlights this point when rolling out the rationale for increased military spending.

Key has Been Quietly Initiating Changes in our National Stance about War

It’s no secret PM Key has a love relationship with America, after all he worked there as a banker. We fly their flag here at the Ohakea Air Base

Now, what I’ve noticed looking beyond the housing conundrum and the age-old fomenters of war who are now publicly espousing their New World Order, is that our once clean green, GE and nuclear free paradise (not) has been undergoing some changes in her stance about war … courtesy of John Key.

Late last year NZ hosted a weapons conference (and here) in our capital, Wellington, amidst largely ignored protests. Where once we had a nuclear free stance that prevented nuclear warships from visiting our harbours, the Daily Blog reported in April this year that “In November [courtesy of John Key]… an American warship will be entering Auckland Harbour for the first time in 32 years for the 75th anniversary of the NZ Navy.” Clearly there’s no apology about that.

Now Kiwis with their ears to the ground have noticed the change in drills the military have been having in recent years. We have a mingling of the military with the public, carrying arms and playing out scenarios where the public are included. Operation Katipo in 2013 was one of those, with forces from the United States, Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and Tonga.

“The operation cements the complete restoration of New Zealand’s military alliance with the US as part of the Obama administration’s strategic “pivot” or “rebalancing” to the Indo-Pacific to encircle China, which the US views as a threat to its dominance in the region. Smaller exercises were held with the US last year, marking the first time American troops had trained in NZ since a partial rift during the 1980s over Wellington’s anti-nuclear policy.”

“Operation Southern Katipo is further evidence that New Zealand’s ruling elite is dragging the country into Washington’s preparations for war—without any democratic discussion and behind the backs of the population. Despite the exercise’s scale, it has received little coverage in the media.”

In April this year (2016) Herald reported the opening of a new top class SAS training facility in Auckland. Key said the upgrade was needed because:

“… we now live in a world where there is some risk to New Zealand. He said despite that risk being much lower than in other environments, the Government could not rule it out when the likes of Isis are using social media to target people, “even as far away as New Zealand. Mr Key said in the event that New Zealand was subject to a domestic terror threat, the SAS would be used if necessary”.

So, watch this space people. A little scratch below the surface reveals that Key is more intent on war than peace, on currying the favour of his favourite nation and by all appearances on feathering his own already well lined nest, than he is on working for New Zealand as he claimed pre election. Why else does a leader tax his own wealthy friends 2.8% and the average workers 28%?

(Truthstream Media.com) At least he certainly OUGHT to have known that oral polio vaccines were discontinued in the U.S. due to their known contribution to vaccine-derived paralysis.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation created the GAVI alliance to push vaccinations on the poorest parts of the developing world in the name of “saving lives” and stopping disease.

In particular, Bill Gates expects to take credit for wiping out polio worldwide by making it one of his primary issues. But at what cost?

In April 2012, I reported on a disturbing claim in the Indian medical press that some 47,500 children had been paralyzed as a direct result of the polio vaccination campaign that had swept through their populous country. India’s National Polio Surveillance Project found that a sharp rise in the cases of non-polio paralysis correlated with areas where doses of oral polio vaccine were also increased.

Worse, children afflicted with polio vaccine-derived non-polio paralysis “were at more than twice the risk of dying than those with wild polio infection,” according to Indian officials.

Bill Gates has publicly denied that his vaccination campaign harmed anyone after being confronted by Truthstream Media’s Melissa Melton.

In June 2013, a ten-month old baby in India made headlines after it was paralyzed from receiving a polio vaccine, all while Bollywood celebrities, reportedly hired by the Gates Foundation, were used to urge the public to accept the vaccinations.

Perhaps the worst part of this tragic backlash in what is meant to be a campaign to improve public health is that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the UN’s World Health Organization knew that oral polio vaccines caused paralysis — but they thought the trade off was worth it. The claim rings as hollow as when former Secretary of State Madeline Albright claimed that some half a million Iraqis killed by sanctions was also “worth it.”

Wikipedia notes that the WHO “considers the benefits of vaccination to far outweigh the risk of vaccine derived polio.” A statement on the World Health Organization addressing the issue of vaccine-derived polio updated in April 2013 claims, “The small risk of cVDPVs pales in significance to the tremendous public health benefits associated with OPV.”

While that risk may be statistically negligible from the bureaucratic point of view of the United Nations and agenda-driven philanthropy, the vaccine-derived paralysis has ruined at least 47,500 real human lives in India, in children who would have likely never contracted paralyzing polio but instead were paralyzed and permanently harmed by the so-called “cure” — all while an alternate vaccine not linked with paralysis has long been available.

Who carries the burden for those wrecked lives, and why does no one in the mainstream corporate media address this issue or attempt to hold anyone accountable? I guess there are no political points to be scored, so it won’t be appearing on your TV screen.

India Holds Bill Gates Accountable For His Vaccine Crimes

As Bill Gates faces a lawsuit for the illegal testing of tribal children in India, it appears that his crimes against humanity have finally caught up with him.

A recent report published by Health Impact News has reported that the Gates Foundation has found itself facing a pending lawsuit, due to an investigation that is being carried out by the Supreme Courts of India.

Health Impact News stated:

“While fraud and corruption are revealed on almost a daily basis now in the vaccine industry, the U.S. mainstream media continues to largely ignore such stories. Outside the U.S., however, the vaccine empires are beginning to crumble, and English versions of the news in mainstream media outlets are available via the Internet.

One such country is India, where the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and their vaccine empire are under fire, including a pending lawsuit currently being investigated by the India Supreme Court.” [1]

The Health Impact News article centered largely on a four-page report that was recently published by Economic Times India.

Eager to know more, I investigated their story and discovered that the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation and two organizations funded by them, PATH (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health) and GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization), have found themselves under fire, after a writ of petition originally submitted to the Supreme Court of India, by Kalpana Mehta, Nalini Bhanot and Dr. Rukmini Rao in 2012, was finally heard by the courts.

The petitioners submitting the petition stated:

“BMGF, PATH and WHO were criminally negligent trialling the vaccines on a vulnerable, uneducated and under-informed population school administrators, students and their parents who were not provided informed consent or advised of potential adverse effects or required to be monitored post-vaccination.” [2] [adrotate banner=”9″]

Young Tribal Girls Tested With HPV Vaccines

The Economic Times India published their report August 2014. They stated that in 2009, tests had been carried out on 16,000 tribal school children in Andhra Pradesh, India, using the human papiloma virus (HPV) vaccine, Gardasil.

According to the report written by KP Narayana Kumar, within a month of receiving the vaccine, many of the children fell ill and by 2010, five of them had died. A further two children were reported to have died in Vadodara, Gujarat, where an estimated 14,000 tribal children were vaccinated with another brand of the HPV vaccine, Cervarix, manufactured by GlaxoSmitheKline (GSK).

Shockingly, the report stated that many of the consent forms used to vaccinate the girls were signed “illegally,” either by the wardens from the hostels where many of the girls resided, or using thumbprints from illiterate parents.

This travesty was not discovered until a team of health activists from the non-government organization SAMA, an organization specializing in women’s health, decided to investigate what had been going on.

According to the report, they were shocked to discover that a total of 120 girls had been taken ill, suffering from a variety of symptoms, including “epileptic seizures, severe stomach aches, headaches and mood swings.”

The Economic Times stated:

“The Sama report also said there had been cases of early onset of menstruation following the vaccination, heavy bleeding and severe menstrual cramps among many students. The standing committee pulled up the relevant state governments for the shoddy investigation into these deaths.

It said it was disturbed to find that ‘all the seven deaths were summarily dismissed as unrelated to vaccinations without in-depth investigations …’ the speculative causes were suicides, accidental drowning in well (why not suicide?), malaria, viral infections, subarachnoid hemorrhage (without autopsy) etc.”

This information is even more shocking when you discover that the organization funding the study was none other than the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who declared the project a total success.

Kumar wrote:

“According to the BMGF, the WHO, the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India have all recommended vaccination ‘as a proven and highly effective preventive measure for cervical cancer.’ The project used vaccines that are licensed in India and that have been administered safely around the world tens of millions of times, preventing countless cases of cervical cancer illness and death, ‘maintains a BMGF spokesperson in an emailed response (see GAVI & PHFI create incentives …’”

He continued:

“BMGF’s role in funding the controversial studies, however, has led to many healthcare activists in India voicing their apprehensions. ‘BMGF has to take full responsibility because PATH is funded by them. It is also unethical when people championing the cause of vaccines are the same ones who are also investing in vaccine development,’ said V Rukmini Rao, one of the activists who filed a writ petition before the Supreme Court in connection with the HPV vaccine studies.” [3]

Absolutely, and this is not the first time that these organizations have been caught illegally testing vaccines in developing countries.

Gates Foundation, WHO, PATH, GAVI, UNICEF Behind Chad Vaccine Disaster

In December 2012, in the small village of Gouro, Chad, Africa, situated on the edge of the Sahara Desert, five hundred children were locked into their school, threatened that if they did not agree to being force-vaccinated with a meningitis A vaccine, they would receive no further education.

These children were vaccinated without their parents’ knowledge. This vaccine was an unlicensed product still going through the third and fourth phases of testing.

Within hours, one hundred and six children began to suffer from headaches, vomiting, severe uncontrollable convulsions and paralysis. The children’s wait for a doctor began. They had to wait one full week for a doctor to arrive while the team of vaccinators proceeded to vaccinate others in the village.

When the doctor finally came, he could do nothing for the children. The team of vaccinators, upon seeing what had happened, fled the village in fear.

The original report written in a small, local newspaper called La Voix, the only newspaper to have published the original story, stated that forty children were finally transferred to a hospital in Faya and later taken by plane to two hospitals in N’Djamena, the capital city of Chad.

After being shuttled around like cattle, many of these sick, weak children were finally dumped back in their village without a diagnosis and each family was given an unconfirmed sum of £1000 by the government. No forms were signed and no documentation was seen. They were informed that their children had not suffered a vaccine injury.

However, if this were true, why would their government award each family £1000 in what has been described as hush money?

The only mainstream news channel to have highlighted the plight of these poor children was a local channel called Tchad, which filmed footage of the then-Prime Minister of Chad visiting the children in hospital.

The groups involved with this project were PATH, WHO, UNICEF, and the Gates Foundation. During investigations, it was discovered that the whole project was being run by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

In a press release, the Gates Foundation stated:

“MenAfriVac is a tremendous success story for the global health community. It is the first vaccine developed specifically for Africa, and it proves that global partnerships can develop and deliver high-quality, low-cost vaccines.

Ten years ago, we invested in the Meningitis Vaccine Project, an innovative model that brought together PATH, the World Health Organization, African health ministers and the Serum Institute of India today, we celebrate the result: a modern vaccine selling for less than US 50 cents per dose with the potential to end Africa’s deadly meningitis epidemics.

We believe that vaccines are one of the best buys in global health. In January, Bill and Melinda Gates called on the global community to make this the Decade of Vaccines. There is no better way to launch this decade than with a new vaccine that will improve and save lives.” [6]

Government Inquiry Holds GAVI Accountable for Multiple Deaths

Despite the fact the Gates Foundation call vaccines “one of the best buys in global health,” a government inquiry in Pakistan has found the complete opposite.

In 2011, the Express Tribune published a story stating that:

“ISLAMABAD: A government inquiry has found that polio vaccines for infants funded by the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisation are causing deaths and disabilities in regional countries including Pakistan.

The startling revelation is part of an inquiry report prepared by the Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) on the working of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI). The PMIC, headed by Malik Amjad Noon, has recommended that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani immediately suspend the administration of all types of vaccines funded by the GAVI.”

According to the Express Tribune, the main vaccinations in question were the polio vaccine and the 5-in-1 pentavelent vaccine, which were said to be responsible for the deaths and disability of a number of children in Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Japan.

The vaccines were funded by the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunization (GAVI) an organization financed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Children’s Vaccine Program, the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, the Rockefeller Foundation, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank.

Writing on the official report, made exclusive to the newspaper, the Express Tribune stated:

“The report states, ‘The procured vaccines are not tested in laboratories to confirm their efficacy and genuineness. This leaves room for use of spurious and counterfeit vaccines.’” [7] (emphasis added)

If this is true, then once again the Gates Foundation has been linked to mass vaccination initiatives using untested, unsafe vaccinations.

The Gates Foundation and WHO Labeled Unethical by Medical Experts

In 2012, Ramesh Shankar Mumbai, an author writing for the Pharmabiz website, reported that two medical experts from India had accused the Gates Foundation and WHO of being unethical.

In his report, Mumbai stated that Dr. Neetu Vashisht and Dr. Jacob Puliyel of the Department of Pediatrics at St. Stephens Hospital in Delhi, wrote the following information in their report in the April issue of Indian Journal of Medical Ethics.

“It was unethical for WHO and Bill Gates to flog this program when they knew 10 years back that it was never to succeed. Getting poor countries to expend their scarce resources on an impossible dream over the last 10 years was unethical.”

Pharmabiz.com reported that Dr. Vashisht and Dr. Puliyel had continued their report by stating:

“Another major ethical issue raised by the campaign is the failure to thoroughly investigate the increase in the incidence of non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP) in areas where many doses of vaccine were used. NPAFP is clinically indistinguishable from polio paralysis but twice as deadly.”

Pharmabiz.com continued:

“The authors noted that while India was polio-free in 2011, in the same year, there were 47500 cases of NPAFP. While data from India’s National Polio Surveillance Project showed NPAFP rate increased in proportion to the number of polio vaccine doses received, independent studies showed that children identified with NPAFP ‘were at more than twice the risk of dying than those with wild polio infection.’” [8]

The corruption and deceit by these organizations does not stop there.

The Gates Foundation Blamed for 10,000 Vaccine-Related Deaths

In 2013, yet another report named the Gates Foundation and GAVI as being responsible for multiple deaths using untested vaccinations on children from the developing world.

The report, published on the website Occupy Corporatism and written by Susanne Posel stated:

“It was found out through an investigation, that GAVI was using an untested vaccine; giving this dangerous vaccine to Pakistani children shows the lack of empathy associated with these organizations.

GAVI was blamed for the deaths of 10,000 children in Pakistan when they came in and administered polio vaccines that resulted in casualties.” [9]

As we know, GAVI is heavily funded by the Gates Foundation. [10]

So, what was the name of the organization that investigated GAVI and found them using untested polio vaccinations in Pakistan?

According to the Express Tribune article, which I referred to earlier in this article, it was none other than the Indian government, who, upon discovering the shocking truth, recommended the immediate suspension of the administration of all types of vaccines funded by GAVI. [7]

In a recent radio show hosted by Sallie O. Elkordy, Susanne Posel gave her frank and honest views on the whole sorry mess that we find ourselves in today.

Conclusion

It is difficult to believe that, despite the mounting evidence outlining the many crimes against humanity that have been committed by the Gates Foundation, GAVI, UNICEF and PATH, Bill Gates is portrayed as a hero among many.

However, according to the definition of hero in the Oxford Dictionary, the word hero means:

“A person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” [12]

The dictionary I used said nothing about vaccinating innocent, vulnerable children with untested and unsafe vaccinations, causing them to suffer agonizing, untimely deaths.

About that polio vax…this is what they are getting.

Indian doctors blame the Gates vaccine campaign for a devastating non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP) epidemic that paralyzed 490,000 children beyond expected rates between 2000 and 2017.

In 2017, the Indian government dialed back Gates’ vaccine regimen and asked Gates and his vaccine policies to leave India. NPAFP rates dropped precipitously. In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) reluctantly admitted that the global explosion in polio is predominantly vaccine strain.

The most frightening epidemics in Congo, Afghanistan, and the Philippines, are all linked to Gates vaccines. In fact, by 2018, 70% of global polio cases were Gates vaccine strain.

Doctors Say Bill Gates Polio Vaccine Has Created Deadly ‘Super Polio’

A mutated strain of Polio has made its way to Europe – as medical authorities admit that the Polio vaccine program led by Bill Gates had ended up creating a more deadly strain of the disease.

In 2011 Doctors in India reported that young children were being crippled in huge numbers after receiving the oral polio vaccine – with 47,000 children crippled and permanently disabled as a direct result of the vaccine.

According to the Washington Post, polio has returned to Europe for the first time in five years – but now in a mutated form that even the mainstream media admits was caused by the vaccine itself. The Washington Post reports:

Polio virus has returned to Europe after a five year reprieve, paralyzing a 4-year-old and 11-year-old in the Ukraine, the World Health Organization said Wednesday. The strain responsible, vaccine-derived poliovirus type 1 or cVDPV… is a rare, mutated form of the virus that comes from the vaccine itself. Oral polio vaccines contain a weakened form of the virus that activates an immune response in the body so that it builds up antibodies to protect itself. But it takes some time for this to happen, and meanwhile the virus replicates in the intestines and can be excreted by the person immunized and can spread to others in the community.

[…] the vaccine-virus can circulate for long time, 12 months or longer, and genetically change into a more virulent form that can paralyze.

Authorities with the World Health Organization (WHO) are concerned that there is a high risk this mutated strain will continue to spread in and around Ukraine and to its neighbors in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary near where the incidents occurred.

Other confirmed cases of vaccine-derived polio have been recently reported in India as well as Madagascar and South Sudan. This is a significant problem.

What should be particularly alarming – and upsetting – and telling – is that oral polio vaccines were discontinued in the West more than 15 years ago for the very reason that the WHO and other authorities KNEW it was causing vaccine-derived polio paralysis cases!

They know that this vaccine will – statistically anyway – harm some children and could potentially spawn outbreaks, but they use it anyway, supposedly because less developed regions are not equipped to handle refrigerated vaccines that don’t contain the live virus.

After years of controversy in the United States, the use of oral polio vaccine (OPV) was discontinued in 2000 due to its proven link with vaccine-derived poliovirus (VDPV), and in the UK circa 2004.

The use of an injected and inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) replaced its usage in the Western world, while oral polio vaccine continues to be used in the developing world.

Wikipedia notes that the WHO “considers the benefits of vaccination to far outweigh the risk of vaccine derived polio.”

Bill Gates faces backlash for calling India a ‘laboratory’

“Billionaire Bill Gates sparked a heated debate on X after his remark describing India as a ‘kind of laboratory’ to try things during a recent podcast hosted by Reid Hoffman, which went viral.

His recent remarks on India reignited a controversial 2009 clinical trial, funded by the Gates Foundation, which tragically claimed the lives of seven tribal schoolgirls and left several others gravely ill.

In the podcast, Gates described India tackling significant challenges in health, nutrition and education, with significant progress underway. He also expressed that the country’s stability and self-reliant revenue generation would lead to transformative improvements in people’s lives over the upcoming two decades. “India is an example of a country where there’s plenty of things that are difficult there— health, nutrition, and education is improving, and they’re stable enough, and generating their own government revenue enough that it’s very likely that 20 yrs from now, people will be dramatically better off. It’s ‘kind of a laboratory’ to try things, when you prove them out in India you can take them to other places,” the Microsoft co-founder says in the podcast.

Highlighting the collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, he mentioned that its largest office outside the US is based in India, “Our biggest non-US office for the foundation is in India, and the most number of people pilot rollout things we’re doing anywhere in the world are with partners in India. If you go there and you’ve never been, you might think, this is a chaotic place and you’re not used to seeing so many levels of income all being on the street at the same time, but you will get a sense of vibrancy.”

PATH, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), conducted clinical trials in 2009 to test a cervical cancer vaccine on 14,000 tribal schoolgirls from Khammam district in Telangana, and Vadodara in Gujarat. During the course of trials, numerous participants experienced serious side effects, and seven deaths occurred, although the fatalities were linked to unrelated causes.

Comments came in quickly, with many expressing outrage on X. One user said that Gates uses India as a testing ground for new drugs, accusing the government of permitting Gates and his foundation to treat Indians like guinea pigs, describing the situation as both shocking and shameful. While another user added that the bigger mistake lies with the government, stating, “He wouldn’t dare to do this in his country. But here he has not only gotten away with such malpractice, he is welcomed into our country.”

The following article and video is from Stop Smart Meters UK. ‘Forcibly’ would be an understatement here. Watching this is quite disturbing to say the least. So in the UK it is clearly possible to force the installation of a Smart (Dangerous) Meter. If you are in any doubts about the safety of these meters watch ‘Take Back Your Power’ doco … there was no prior testing done with the roll out of these devices. In the meanwhile there is plenty of documented evidence, by health professionals, to demonstrate they carry health risks. All there in the doco. A must watch. The gentleman in the video has opted now to go without power rather than have a Smart Meter in his home.

Here in NZ they are not yet compulsory although your powerco will, by way of omission, imply that they are. Post a non-consent notice on your meter box if it is outside your house as I hear often that powercos just turn up and install with neither your knowledge nor your consent. I also hear often of health effects from these devices. Headaches, sinus problems, heart problems … that went away post removal. Once installed it is very difficult to get these removed. From Stop Smart Meters! (UK) Youtube channel: This shocking video shows the moment Northern Irishman David Barr, who suffers from a medical condition which sometimes renders him housebound, has a Smart Meter forcibly installed in his property against his consent.

The video suggests that Power NI have acted way beyond their authority by forcibly installing a Smart Meter against a person’s wishes, something that the UK Government has repeatedly admitted cannot and will not happen.

As reflected in a statement by former Energy Minister Charles Hendry (Hansard, 29 November 2011), whilst Energy suppliers will need to take “all reasonable steps to install smart meters for all domestic and smaller non-domestic customers by 2019” – they:

“do not expect suppliers to seek an entry warrant simply to fit a smart meter and it will not be an offence for householders to refuse to accept a smart meter”….

Retail outlets across Europe are taking glyphosate off their shelves

From the UK’s Guardian, more news on Roundup and glyphosate. Bear in mind glyphosate is in many other products as I recently confirmed. Most of the home garden sprays in our local supermarket, popular brands too, contained glyphosate. So important to read labels and fine print.

The Guardian …. “Monsanto is far from happy. The main ingredient of its highly profitable weedkiller, Roundup, often used in conjunction with GM crops, has been declared a “probable carcinogenic”.

As well as being profitable for Monsanto, glyphosate is one of the most widely adopted weedkillers in the world by gardeners and farmers alike. Use of it by UK farmers, for example, has soared by 400% in the last 20 years.

In response to the cancer warning, the US biotech company has been quick to accuse the body behind the new classification of bias. It says the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an arm of the World Health Organisation (WHO), lacks transparency and has made an irresponsible decision – one likely to cause confusion among farmers and the wider public…

Although campaigners in the UK have tried to focus attention on possible risks to human health from glyphosate residues found in bread, toxicologists suggest gardeners and farm workers are the ones most at risk.

“It is difficult to work out the magnitude of cancer risks of glyphosate, but based on the quantities people come into contact with, it can be expected that agricultural workers applying the pesticide are at much greater risk than consumers in Britain, who are exposed via residues in food…..

For those worried about their health, one organisation now allows you to pay $120 (£75) to have your urine, breast milk or tap water tested for glyphosate contamination. Far from scaremonging, toxicologist Dr Robin Mesnage from Kings College London says such testing could help…”

Feeding the hungry … France makes it illegal for grocery stores to waste food

Here is an article from France on the sensible recycling of food waste…

“1/3 of the food currently produced worldwide is thrown away every year.. to help prevent this travesty, France just passed new legislation banning stores from purposefully ruining food … requiring all supermarkets 400 square feet or larger to donate unsold food to charity, for animal feed, or for farming compost.”

In recent weeks we’ve had some intriguing contrasts on this front. In NZ and the UK private organizations have been redistributing waste supermarket food to the needy, then in a town in Spain, we have a Mayor of 35 years seizing food from supermarkets to redistribute ‘Robin Hood’ style, to the poor. He sees speculation in food, and rightly so, as a disgrace. Food he says, is a right. This Mayor has also put the clamps on housing speculation and folks there in Marinaleda can own their own home for $19 a month… so long as it’s never sold for profit.

“We need to rethink our values, the consumer society, the value we place on money, selfishness and individualism,” says their mayor, Juan Manuel Sánchez Gordillo.

Then in the US of America a young woman has been sacked for giving free cafeteria lunches to children who had no lunch money (see video at the link). Seventy one cities in the US have been trying to pass ordinances forbidding the donation of food to the homeless.

” … 90-year-old World War II veteran Arnold Abbott made national headlines when he got busted by cops in Fort Lauderdale, Florida twice in one week—for giving out food to homeless people. While serving a public meal on November 2, Abbott told the Sun-Sentinel, “a policeman pulled my arm and said, ‘Drop that plate right now,’ like it was a gun.”

What’s the planet coming to? Generosity being criminalized … for what? Much of the food being denied the poor is only headed for landfills anyway. Hopefully other nations will follow the lead on this and practice some civil disobedience to get the message across. It’s not as if the poor will be shopping elsewhere and affecting profits. And profits are the underlying agenda in all of this. Take an hour out and watch ‘The Corporation’ documentary. You will learn from that that profits are the bottom line for corporations. They are not about helping people and the insanity of many of them needs to be challenged. Preventing people from feeding the poor simply isn’t right.

10 FLOORING FOOD WASTE FACTS

From an interesting UK site called ‘This is Rubbish’ (TiR) …. TiR is a voluntary group started in 2009 that:

“aims to communicate the preventable scale of food wasted in the UK, through policy research, community and arts led public events.”

They have compiled some fascinating facts and figures. Did you know for instance, that:

1. “It’s estimated that 30 – 50% of food is waste globally. ¹

2. 18 – 20 million tones of food is wasted annually in the UK. ²

3. Assuming that in the UK and US 25% of food is wasted, 10% of GHG emissions from these countries come from food that is discarded. ^{3 ”}

I’ve noticed many food outlets will donate their unsold food at the end of the day to charities who quickly pass them on to those folks they know are in need. I recall during the ’90s collecting weekly a car boot load of bread from a local supermarket for that purpose. Another area I lived in (NZ’s beautiful Bay of Plenty) local growers left two large bins of ‘seconds’ from their Kiwifruit harvests free for the taking, which ended up in homes or as stock feed. Brilliant. Then there are the folks I’ve seen recently on FB who have swap stands or free stands near their gardens to dispose of surplus and feed people who are struggling financially … equally as brilliant. If you have a fruit tree that produces more than you can use, consider placing boxes of it at your front gate for passers by to take. Sharing is caring. Your generosity will return to you. I assure you.

Then closer to home, was my dear Dad who grew an enormous vegetable garden and gave most of it away … serving two purposes … he loved gardening and growing things … and also enjoyed the buzz he got from helping others. Not only did he give the produce away, he also made pickles, relishes, jams and preserves, much of which he also gave away. Having lived through a Depression and a World War he knew the art of survival and making the most what he had. Like many in his era, his shed was chock full of odds and ends to fix stuff with … that was the era that preceded our current ‘throw away’ society. Perhaps this is where the ‘throw-away-the-food’ mentality comes from? Seriously, the fix-it thing is what could drastically cut back the rubbish and recycling problem that is growing into magnanimous proportions … a topic for another post.

I confess I’m guilty of waste at times although I’ve cut that back and am more mindful of using leftovers creatively instead of biffing them. Did you know for instance, you can make apple cider vinegar or apple jelly from apple peels and cores? ? Or that you can make pickle or relish from water melon rinds?

I have a friend who said as a child they had a cook up of all the left overs one night a week. (Only what was edible of course). I guess this may (or may not?) go down well with the creative chefs however … in the bigger picture we who eat well on the planet are actually the minority. This alone causes me to be very thankful for the food I do have, and more mindful of the need to not waste it. And last but not least, to use what I save in all of this, to feed a hungry child elsewhere on the planet. We may one day need the same generosity ourselves. Our current political regime here in NZ is forgetting that fact. Something to think about.

“The will to live life differently can start in some of the most unusual places….”

From Pam Warhust in Todmorden. Here is one of the most amazing videos (13 mins) you’ll ever see if you have a love for transformation (and gardening). Like those TV programs featuring transformation of your home, your garden … anywhere … this ‘experiment’ can revolutionize the whole way townsfolk view gardening and its purpose in their surroundings. Representatives from the Todmorden project were invited to speak in Christchurch following the big 2011 earthquake to inspire their rebuild. Their system if you like, has spread around the world in fact … the TED video featured will show you just where. She and a group of volunteers … ‘we’re only volunteers and it’s just an experiment’ … sitting around the kitchen table dreamed up this scheme to grow edibles around their town. Skipping all the usual paperwork and permission seeking they just went ahead and ‘did it’ … they grew edibles all over the place … in front of the Health Center and the Police Station to name two. Amazingly, it all turned into a whole new tourist trade, inspiring growth in local small scale industries. People come from all over the world to see the Todmorden ‘experiment’ … ‘even’, says Pam, ‘when nothing much is growing’. I’ll be surprized if you don’t just love this video … it is inspirational and magic… watch on the Gardening page where there are also links to articles you can read on Todmorden, or at its source on YouTube.
