A strong eruption took place at Sheveluch volcano, Kamchatka, Russia at 00:35 UTC on December 22, 2020, with volcanic ash rising up to 8.5 km (28 000 feet) above sea level.

As a result, KVERT raised the Aviation Color Codeto Red at 01:22 UTC.

According to visual data from Ust-Kamchatsk, explosions sent ash up to 8 km (25 240 feet) a.s.l. and an ash plume extended to the northeast of the volcano to a distance of 42 km (26 miles).

Satellite data showed an ash cloud is drifting about 130 km (81 miles) to the east of the volcano, KVERT said at 02:55 UTC, and lowered the Aviation Color Code back to Orange.

The Ontario government’s decision to extend and expand lockdowns across the province is another big hit in a long line of crushing blows to small business owners.

“Today’s announcement guarantees the demise of thousands upon thousands of Ontario’s small businesses,” saidDan Kelly, CFIB president. “The government should have used this as an opportunity to fine-tune existing restrictions based on the data, instead of expanding this blunt measure to additional regions of the province. Workers are going to lose their jobs. Business owners and their families will see their dreams crushed and their homes lost to the banks.”

Nineteen Chinese and Russian aircraft entered South Korea’s air defense identification zone on Tuesday in what appeared to be a combined exercise, prompting the Air Force to scramble fighter jets, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.

Four Chinese jets first entered the Korean Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) above the East Sea, followed by 15 Russian aircraft that flew in from north, according to the military.

The JCS said the two countries appeared to have conducted a combined training.

“Our military dispatched the Air Force fighter jets before their KADIZ entry in preparations for accidental situations,” it said in a statement.

Before the aircraft’s KADIZ entry, the Chinese military told South Korea its planes were carrying out normal training, according to officials.

Air defense identification zones are not territorial airspace and are not bound by international law. But a foreign warplane is supposed to make prior notification…

Our objective is to use radiometric measurements in the range 250-300 nm to show that a typical chemtrail is not a contrail, and to generalize that finding with additional data. Methods: We utilized International Light Technologies ILT950UV Spectral Radiometer mounted on a Meade LXD55 auto guider telescope tripod and mount assembly.

Results: Radiometric solar irradiance spectra data that included the transit of a typical tropospheric aerosol trail between radiometer-sensor and the solar disc showed significant absorption during the transit period. The during-transit absorption is wholly inconsistent with the almost negligible adsorption by ice, but is wholly consistent with absorption by aerosolize particulates, including coal fly ash.
