These systems will have components added to what we now see. Such as blue light CREATING NEUROLOGICAL DISRUPTIONS – 5G – Palantir (emotional precrime assessments of individuals) – systems that will host charge ability aka charging stations for drones. This control network can not be stopped politically!! There is MORE that will be added to these systems that is concerning and frightening.

Spy My Media: Pfizer’s top owners — Blackrock, Vanguard & State Street — are top shareholders of parent companies that own Annalect, hired by NZ’s Govt to spy on Kiwis’ social media

Another excellent and informative read about ‘the club’ that you’re not part of … note, the NZ corporation (aka govt) was spying on this site a few years back keeping tabs on pesky environmentalists (Archives link). Lest you think they wouldn’t! … (other posts on NZ spying) … EWNZ

From Steve Snoopman @ Substack

In this exposé, Steve Snoopman shows the Blackrock-Vanguard-State Street Connection behind New Zealand Government’s out-sourcing of social snooping to the same big three Monopoly Board Players that own Pfizer.

The company hired by the NZ Government to monitor New Zealanders’ social media accounts, produce data analytics and ‘social listening’ reports for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) is called Annalect New Zealand.

Annalect is part of the New York-based Omnicom Group — whose top three owners are Vanguard, Blackrock and State Street — and who are also the top three shareholders of Pfizer, the primary pharmaceutical company that has supplied the New Zealand Government with its Covid-19 mRNA-nano ‘vaccine’, Cominarty.

During the Corona Plandemic, one of Omnicom’s advertising agency, Clemenger BBDO, created the NZ Government’s ‘Unite Against Covid-19’ campaign, which contained four functions of ideology that are essential for successful propaganda to brainwash a population.

Key Finding: Under the ‘corporate umbrella’ of Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the NZ Government has been able to manipulate the thoughts, feelings and understandings of the archipelago’s captive population by out-sourcing
social snooping to Omnicom, whose top three owners reveal the ‘Blackrock-Vanguard-State Street Connection’ to Pfizer.

Pimp My Shot: Pfizer’s top owners — Blackrock & Vanguard — are top shareholders of parent companies that own The NZ Herald, Newshub & Newstalk ZB

Another excellent and informative read …

From Steve Snoopman @ Substack

In this exposé, numerous New Zealand newsrooms, including The New Zealand Herald, Newshub and Newstalk ZB are shown to share the same ultimate owners as the pharmaceutical manufacturer, Pfizer.

Among the top three owners of New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) — which owns The New Zealand Herald, The Waikato Herald, The Bay of Plenty Times, The Whanganui Chronicle, The Manawatu Guardian, The Northern Advocate, the Bay of Plenty Times and The Roturua Daily Post, and NewsTalk ZB — are three transnational banks, JPMorgan Chase Bank, CitiGroup and HSBC.

The top three owners of JPMorgan Chase Bank and CitiGroup include the two massive financial institutions, Vanguard Group and Blackrock, that in turn are among the top three shareholders of Pfizer.

The news brand, Newshub, as well as The Project, The Nation, and ChannelThree are owned Discovery New Zealand, that is a subsidiary of the media corporation, Discovery Inc., and which is owned by the parent corporation, AT&T. The two biggest owners of AT&T, are Blackrock and Vanguard.

NZME and Discovery are deeply embroiled in the New Zealand Government’s drive to jab 90% of the eligible population. Yet, like other newsrooms, NZME and Discovery have failed to seriously investigate the other side of the story — in keeping with the priniciple of freedom of expression.

Story at-a-glance

  • “CITIZENFOUR” is a documentary about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. It came out in 2014, but it’s even more pertinent today than it was then
  • In January 2013, when documentary film director/producer Laura Poitras received an encrypted email from a stranger who called himself “Citizen Four”
  • In June 2013, Poitras flew to meet Snowden at the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong, together with columnist Glenn Greenwald and Guardian intelligence reporter Ewen MacAskill. After four days of interviews, Snowden’s identity was made public at his request
  • Today, Snowden’s warnings ring truer than ever. Artificial intelligence now scours social media, podcasts and videos for key words identifying “anti-vaxxers,” for example. It doesn’t even matter if they agree with what you’re writing or saying. The mere inclusion of certain words will get you axed from the platform
  • Next, the plan is to eliminate privacy altogether by requiring a digital identity to access the internet

“CITIZENFOUR” is a documentary about U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden. It came out in 2014, but it’s even more pertinent today than it was then, so if you haven’t seen it, I urge you to do so.

The Snowden story began in January 2013, when documentary film director/producer Laura Poitras received an encrypted email from a stranger who called himself “Citizen Four.” Snowden reportedly chose this codename “as a nod to three NSA whistleblowers who came before him: Bill Binney, J. Kirk Wiebe and Thomas Drake.”

Poitras had already spent several years working on a film about monitoring programs in the U.S., and had been placed on a secret watch list after her 2006 film “My Country, My Country,”1 a documentary about Iraqis living under U.S. occupation. In his initial email, Snowden wrote:

“Laura. At this stage, I can offer nothing more than my word. I’m a senior government employee in the intelligence community. I hope you understand that contacting you is extremely high risk and you’re willing to agree to the following precautions before I share more. This will not be a waste of your time …

The surveillance you’ve experienced means you’ve been ‘selected’ — a term which will mean more to you as you learn about how the modern SIGINT system works.

For now, know that every border you cross, every purchase you make, every call you dial, every cell phone tower you pass, friend you keep, article you write, site you visit, subject line you type, and packet your route, is in the hands of a system whose reach is unlimited, but whose safeguards are not.

Your victimization by the NSA system means that you’re well aware of the threat that unrestricted secret police pose for democracies. This is a story few but you can tell.”

Summary of Snowden’s Journey

In June 2013, Poitras flew to meet Snowden at The Mira Hong Kong, together with columnist Glenn Greenwald and Ewen MacAskill, an intelligence reporter for The Guardian. After four days of interviews, Snowden’s identity was made public at his request.

Within two weeks, the U.S. government demanded Snowden’s extradition. Facing prosecution in the United States, Snowden scheduled a meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and applied for refugee status.

He managed to depart Hong Kong, but became stranded at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow when his passport was canceled. There he remained for 40 days, until the Russian government finally granted him asylum.

The Greatest Weapon of Oppression Ever Built

The U.S. government implemented Stellar Wind, a program to actively — and illegally — spy on all Americans within days of the 2001 9/11 attack. Ten years later, in 2011, construction began on a NSA data center in the Utah desert. It’s now the largest surveillance storehouse in the U.S.

In his correspondence, Snowden warned Poitras that “telecommunication companies in the U.S. are betraying the trust of their customers.” Through Stellar Wind, all phone calls and text messages were being intercepted and stored, and the Stellar Wind program has only expanded from there.

The NSA not only intercepts American citizens emails, phone conversations and text messages, but also Google searches, Amazon.com orders, bank records and more.

“We are building the greatest weapon for oppression in the history of man,” Snowden wrote, “yet its directors exempt themselves from accountability … On cyber operations, the government’s public position is that we still lack a policy framework. This … was a lie.

There is a detailed policy framework, a kind of martial law for cyber operations created by the White House. It’s called ‘Presidential Policy Directive 20’ and was finalized at the end of last year.”

Linkability, the Key to Control — and Entrapment

As explained in the film, a key aspect of control through surveillance is the linkability of data. One piece of data about you is linked to another piece. For example, your bus pass can be linked to the debit card you used to buy the pass. Your debit card is also linked to all other purchases.

With two key pieces of information — WHERE you went on a given day, and WHEN you made purchases, they can determine who you spoke with and met up with by linking those data points with those of other people who were in the vicinity at the same time. And that’s without even using your cellphone data.

When all these various data points are aggregated — location data, purchases, phone calls, texts, social media posts and more — you end up with a collection of metadata that tells a story about you. However, while the story is made up of facts, it’s not necessarily true.

For example, just because you were standing at a particular street corner does not mean you had anything to do with the crime that was reported on that same corner at the time you happened to be there. The problem is, your data could be used against you in that way.

The January 6 prisoners are a perfect example of how bits and pieces of data can be misused. Many have now spent years in jail simply because their cellphone data showed them as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

State Power Versus the People’s Power to Oppose That Power

When asked by Greenwald why he decided to become a whistleblower, Snowden replied:

“It all comes down to state power against the people’s ability to meaningfully oppose that power. I’m sitting there every day, getting paid to design methods to amplify that state power.

And I’m realizing that if the policy switches that are the only thing that restrain these states were changed, you couldn’t meaningfully oppose [them].

I mean, you would have to be the most incredibly sophisticated tactical actor in existence. I’m not sure there’s anybody, no matter how gifted you are, who could oppose all of the offices and all the bright people, even all the mediocre people out there with all of their tools and all their capabilities.

And as I saw the promise of the Obama administration be betrayed … and in fact, [how they] actually advanced the things that had been promised to be sort of curtailed and reined in and dialed back … As as I saw that, that really hardened me to action …

We all have a stake in this. This is our country, and the balance of power between the citizenry and the government is becoming that of the ruling and the ruled, as opposed to the elected and the electorate.”

A Decade Later Snowden’s Words Ring Truer Than Ever

“I remember what the internet was like, before it was being watched, and there’s never been anything in the history of man like it,” Snowden said.

“You could have children from one part of the world having an equal discussion, where they were sort of granted the same respect for their ideas and conversation, with experts in a field from another part of the world on any topic, anywhere, anytime, all the time.

It was free and unrestrained. And we’ve seen the chilling of that, and the changing of that model towards something in which people self police their own views. They literally make jokes about ending up on ‘the list’ if they donate to a political cause, or if they say something in a discussion. It’s become an expectation that we’re being watched.

Many people I’ve talked to have mentioned that they’re careful about what they type into search engines, because they know that it’s being recorded, and that limits the boundaries of their intellectual exploration.”

Today, after the extreme ramp-up of censorship, surveillance and harassment we’ve endured since the COVID pandemic began, Snowden’s warnings ring truer than ever.

Artificial intelligence now scours social media, podcasts and videos for key words identifying “anti-vaxxers,” for example. It doesn’t even matter if they agree with what you’re writing or saying. The mere inclusion of certain words will get you axed from the platform.

Snowden’s worst fears have indeed come true, and today most people have come to realize just how dangerous this kind of blanket surveillance can be. Countless individuals whose only “crime” was to share their story of how the COVID shot ruined their lives have had their posts censored and social media accounts shut down.

Canadians whose only “crime” was to donate a few dollars to a peaceful protest had their bank accounts frozen. Small companies and nonprofit organizations with the “wrong” viewpoints have had their online payment services cancelled, effectively strangling their ability to make a living and keep the operation going.

Others have been debanked without recourse, including yours truly. My CEO and CFO and all of their family members also had their accounts and credit cards canceled, apparently for no other reason than the fact that they work for me. In other words, guilt by association.

Will the Internet as We Know It Disappear in the Next Year?

I recently posted an interview with investigative journalist Whitney Webb in which she talks about the next steps in the ramp-up of tyranny. The World Economic Forum has warned we may face a cyberattack on the banks before the end of 2024. That means we almost definitely will, seeing how they like to announce plans ahead of time.

Such a cyberattack will not only destroy the current banking system and usher in programmable central bank digital currencies. It will also eliminate privacy online by requiring everyone to have a digital identification tied to their ISP.

The principles of “know your customer” (KYC) will be imposed on everybody for everything, and anything that doesn’t have that will be made illegal under National Security justifications.

Essentially, what we’re looking at is a cyber Patriot Act, which will allow for the unfettered surveillance of everyone’s online activities, and the ability to restrict or block access to the internet. As noted by Webb, “The internet as you know it will not exist after this happens.”

The goal is to surveil all online activity in real time and have AI perform predictive policing to prevent crime before it happens. At that point, all bets are off. Data points alone may land you behind bars. Thought-crimes will also have ramifications, potentially resulting in the seizure of private property and/or removal of “privileges” previously understood as human rights.

A Global Infrastructure Has Been Built

During their first meeting with Snowden in Hong Kong, he explained that a global infrastructure, built by the NSA with the cooperation of other governments, was already in place. That was 10 years ago, so you can imagine how it’s grown since then.

At that time, that network was already automatically intercepting every digital communication, every radio communication and every analog communication. This blanket siphoning of data allows the NSA and others that have access to the network to retroactively search an individual’s communications, even if all they have is a single identifier. Snowden explained:

“So for example, if I wanted to see the content of your email … all I have to do is use what’s called a selector, any kind of thing in the communications chain that might uniquely or almost uniquely identify you as an individual.

I’m talking about things like email addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, credit cards, even passwords that are unique to you that aren’t used by anyone else.

I can input those into the system, and it will not only go back through the database … it will basically put an additional level of scrutiny on it moving into the future that says, ‘If this is detected now or at any time in the future, I want this to go to me immediately,’ and [it will] alert me in real time that you’re communicating with someone. Things like that.”

According to Snowden, the British Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) has “the most invasive network intercept program anywhere in the world.” That program, Tempora, intercepts all content, in addition to metadata, on everything and everyone.

Snowden also describes the “SSO,” which stands for Special Sorters Operations. The SSO passively collects data across networks, both in the U.S. and internationally. Domestically, this is done primarily through corporate partnerships.

“They also do this with multinationals that might be headquartered in the U.S. whom [they can] just pay into giving them access,” Snowden said. They also do it bilaterally with the assistance of other governments.

You’re Being Spied Upon Everywhere

Snowden also pointed out some of the many ways in which you’re being spied upon by the digital devices around you. As just one example, all VoIP phones, which transmit calls over an IP network such as the internet, have little computers inside of them that can be hot mic’d even if servers are down. As long as the phone is plugged in, someone can use it to listen in on your conversations.

Within days of their first meeting in Hong Kong, Greenwald and Poitras were publishing stories about the NSA’s illegal blanket spying domestically and internationally. CNN Live reported:

“Another explosive article has just appeared, this time in the Washington Post … that reveals another broad and secret U.S. government’s surveillance program.

The Washington Post and The Guardian in London reporting that the NSA and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading internet companies, including Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, AOL, Skype, YouTube, and Apple.

The Post says they’re extracting audio, video, photographs, emails, documents, and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.”

Greenwald also made numerous live news appearances. In one, he stated:

“In 2008, they eliminated the warrant requirement for all conversations, except ones that take place among Americans exclusively on American soil.

So they don’t need warrants now for people who are foreigners outside of the U.S., but they also don’t need warrants for Americans who are in the United States, communicating with people reasonably believed to be outside of the U.S.

So … the fact that there are no checks, no oversight about who’s looking over the NSA’s shoulder, means that they can take whatever they want, and the fact that it’s all behind a wall of secrecy, and they threaten people who want to expose it, means that whatever they’re doing, even violating the law is something that we’re unlikely to know until we start having real investigations and real transparency into what it is that the government is doing.”

Beyond Transparency

At this point, we’re beyond merely needing transparency. The intent to surveil and control every move we make and thought we express is now being openly expressed.

We can just assume that any digital devices can and probably are collecting data on our activities and whereabouts, and that those data are nowhere near held private and can be used against us in myriad ways.

Everyone must now choose between freedom and enslavement, and the option to choose freedom is rapidly closing.

Today, a decade after Snowden broke the dam of secrecy around the global surveillance scheme, we have but one choice left, and that is to actively reject that system by changing how we live our day to day lives. Everyone must now choose between freedom and enslavement, and the option to choose freedom is rapidly closing. Putting off making that choice is itself a choice.

Rejecting the control system means reverting back to “dumb” appliances and devices to the extent you’re able. It means getting savvier about privacy technologies such as deGoogled phones and computers2 that cannot spy on you. It means using cash as much as possible and rejecting CBDCs and digital tokens. As noted by Whitney Webb in the interview I linked to earlier:

“There’s a huge need for to divest from Big Tech as much as possible, and it needs to happen quickly, because the choice is either participate in the system being designed for you by crazy people and become a slave, or don’t become a slave. And if you don’t want to be a slave, you have to invest now in Big Tech alternatives, unless you want to live a completely analog life …

The easiest route is to go the slavery route, and that’s how they’ve designed it on purpose. The whole selling point of that system is that it’s convenient and easy. So, obviously, it’s going to take some work to go the other route, but the future of human freedom depends on it so I think it’s a pretty easy choice.”

UK government is monitoring teachers’ online activity and recording criticism of government policies and Ofsted

From expose-news.com

A startling revelation indicates that the UK government has substantially amplified its surveillance of the social media activity of educators. Ranging from leading education experts to teaching assistants and librarians earning modest salaries, the magnifying glass of surveillance closely monitors posts criticising education policies.

The discovery was made by The Observer, revealing that the Department for Education is keeping extensive records of such posts, something that Reclaim The Net has previously covered.

This revelation highlights the burning issues of free speech and censorship, causing widespread disquiet among the educational community. The surveillance of educators’ online activity portrays a scenario where dissent or criticism of government policy is not only monitored but also catalogued, potentially affecting the educators’ professional careers.

Educators across the UK have demonstrated a wave of shock and anger in response to the discovery. Many have submitted Subject Access Requests (“SARs”), a Right to Access provision within the General Data Protection Regulation, requiring the Department of Education to disclose the information it holds under their names. These educators found file lengths spanning up to 60 pages, documenting their tweets and comments opposing the government’s policies and criticising schools’ inspectorate, Ofsted.

Nikki Cleveland, a higher-level teaching assistant and primary school librarian, was astounded to find that even her tweets concerning issues such as inadequate funding for school libraries and criticisms of Ofsted had been flagged and stored by the Department. Her discovery has only raised her cynicism towards the government and the Department of Education, questioning their apathy towards the challenges schools face daily.

The NZ Security Intelligence Service has been advertising for Surveillance Officers and Contact Tracers

For those of you who have your eye on the ball so to speak, these are job opportunities not commonly seen in our ‘freedom loving democracy’ of NZ. Any items concerning surveillance are generally described as necessary for the safety of citizens. Not too many years ago this site and others were being watched by a security agency contracted by DoC. Anybody who does not agree with their methods of pest control are not looked kindly upon and are considered a threat to the safety of others it would appear. Similarly the ads below for surveillance staff highlight that a part of their role is protecting New Zealand and its citizens.

QUOTE: ” … together, we’re doing extraordinary things to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.”

Please make of these ads what you will. Some of the role descriptions would easily, in my opinion, win a prize for gobbledegook. Very difficult to discern just exactly what the job entails.

The first two ads noted in May & June 2022, and the last two in November 2022:

  • working on multiple varied workstreams – which might be centred around new equipment, a new relationship, new policy or agreement, or even a new way of collaboration – all in the pursuit of enhanced operational capability.

The ideal candidate will drive innovation and be able to multi-task and plan. You will enjoy working under pressure and have pride in delivering solutions that directly enable our operational staff. This role works alongside, and has access to, a new team of like-minded colleagues who will have significant input in deciding the best way, or alternative ways, to deliver. Additionally, you will build a strong level of trust with established teams and become a respected knowledge source and problem solver.

Key attributes:

  • Driven to collaborate, partner and independently plan and deliver on work streams
  • Be prepared to travel domestically and internationally in pursuit of operational capability planning or relationship building
  • A dedicated, highly motivated team member displaying initiative and willing attitude
  • Comfortable with breaking new ground, change and embedding new processes and systems

NZ Police have been quietly setting up a $9m facial recognition system which can identify people from CCTV feed

I heard the other day, Judith Collins on radio demanding a review, raising the alarm on privacy blah blah blah. Be assured, if Nats were the govt/corporation Judith would be quietly ushering in $9 million worth of the exact same thing seeing as we have a shadow govt/corp and all. And … Adern would be parroting what Collins is saying right now. It’s all farcical and many of us see right through it. All globalist puppets, and Collins posing as opposition. It is all created that way to make you think you have a choice every three years. EWR

Police have been quietly setting up a $9 million facial recognition system that can take a live feed from CCTV cameras and identify people from it.

This would push New Zealand into new territory for tracking citizens.

It will be run by a non-police contractor – US firm Dataworks Plus – and collect 15,000 facial images a year, with that expected to expand up to 10-fold.

Some of this information is contained in an Official Information Act (OIA) response police provided to Stuff last year, but tried to withhold from RNZ last week, until a complaint was made to the Ombudsman.

RNZ made inquiries with other agencies after revealing that the Internal Affairs Department has been – quietly, too – setting up a $20m passport processing system.

Facebook is developing room-scanning technology

Facebook says it is developing what appears like a fairly fine-grained way of monitoring sounds occurring in enclosed spaces – spaces that would also be mapped for any objects they contain. And Facebook is relying on artificial intelligence (AI) of one kind or another to achieve this, said a blog post announcing “AI Habitat.”

As is often the case, this type of “arrangement” between ordinary users and a data-dependent and hungry tech juggernaut like Facebook, and the trade-off involved, doesn’t seem to be really worth it for users would have to wear “smart glasses” to allow this invasive system into their homes, and in exchange get trivial help from their AI assistants in checking whether the front door’s locked and finding a phone that’s ringing somewhere else in the apartment. If that’s all the benefit to the user wearing a pair of awkward “glasses” loaded with sensors probing the privacy of their home to the core – it truly sounds like the worst deal ever.

‘Contact Tracing’: A Panopticon Grid Of Total Surveillance

From geopolitics.co

As part of their carefully orchestrated coup d’état, Technocrats have declared war on an unseeable virus. The respective ‘army’ of foot soldiers is now revealed as ‘Contact Tracers’ who will kickstart the national panopticon grid of total surveillance.

The specific marketing propaganda to implement this is that it “will help us emerge from lockdown.” You want to emerge from lockdown, don’t you? This subtle lever of coercion is to ensure public acceptance. Since each state is responsible for their own surveillance programs, it is estimated that collectively, there will be a force of at least 300,000 such snitches.  When one shows up at your door, you would be well advised to tell them to get lost and never come back. ⁃ TN Editor

Contact Tracing? Really? That’s the next big government program to push for total surveillance over our lives. Now the real fallout from the Coronapocalypse comes to light.

The very people who created a fake pandemic out of faulty statistics, media fear-pimping and the rankest of propaganda are now pushing the total surveillance state to protect us (them?) from the next crisis.

James Corbett from the Corbett Report just published an excellent video discussing ‘contact tracing’ as promulgated by (who else?) the Clinton Global Initiative to create an army of new Brown Shirts to assist our wise and benevolent leaders in managing us like livestock.

Warming you to Big Brother – NZ ‘considers’ spending $100m on a contact tracing ‘CovidCard’

Contact tracing, the new repackaged Big Brother, is (probably) coming to a place near you. Your corporation is just ‘considering’ it mind, that is ‘code’ for ‘done deal’. Remember this article on the microchip ID citing NZ author, the late Barry Smith?

During the 1980s, three mysterious ads in the Sydney Herald foretold Australia’s current micro chipping of its citizens

…and the first image below here? John citizen. (It appeared interestingly in an Australian newspaper in 1984 with no explanation … following an intro image in 1983). At the time Henry Kissinger (who called recently for a global government to manage the covid pandemic) was in Australia discussing the introduction of eftpos. Curious to say the least. (All info in the article). Note the Fabian Socialists’ aka globalists’ modus operandi is to introduce the ‘idea’ packaged as, ‘we might’ or ‘we’re considering’ … that gets the idea into your head … then when they do do it you’re already warmed to it. Note particularly in the article that Jenny Shipley flatly denied in ’91 that NZ was ‘considering’ a universal Smart Card debunked by David Lange who said he’d seen it & they’d been working on it at the time for four years. You really can’t trust our politicians to tell the truth. Honestly. They’re all under the thumb of globalism. (And we got our photo ID in 1999 in the end with the photo drivers licenses).

So one pandemic has achieved total world wide surveillance already (not to mention police-state -like control) I’m sure there’s more to come. Remember this incident last year on surveillance & spying? (They were spying on envirowatchrangitikei!) If you’ve followed this site for some time you will get my drift. If not do read at the links above on the publicly announced new world order (George Bush Sr 1991), on the well documented Agenda 21 now 2030 (both at the main menu) and (if you’re from NZ, the guinea pig country) Agenda 21/30 in NZ.   EWR

A private sector proposal to produce and distribute five million Bluetooth-enabled credit card-sized contact tracing tools at a cost of $100 million is one of “a wide variety of technological solutions to contact tracing”, a spokesperson for the All of Government Covid-19 response team has confirmed.

The idea, branded CovidCard, is one of a handful that the Government is considering as it moves to settle on a digital solution for contact tracing.

Newsroom understands that the lead candidate remains a Ministry of Health-developed version of Singapore’s TraceTogether app, but flaws in the rollout and operation of the smartphone app in Singapore have led to the CovidCard as a potential alternative.

‘Contact tracing’ – they are repackaging Big Brother

They are really good at repackaging aka rebranding. You need to be to sell an unpleasant truth. They did this with NZ’s Rogernomics, calling ‘wrecking your country’ ‘restructuring’. They did it with 1080 poison, rebranding it with a nicer fancier name. Or alternatively remember the old song about a spoonful of sugar making the medicine go down? If you still trust these guys you deserve all they have planned. EWR

‘A Dystopian Surveillance State Being Built in Plain Sight’: Pentagon Tests Radar-Equipped Balloons to Spy on Vehicles Across Midwest

From commondreams.org

“These programs are not about stopping violence, they’re about social control.”

Millions of Americans across the Midwest this summer are being subjected to surveillance from above as the Pentagon experiments with the use of surveillance radars attached to high-altitude balloons.

“Even in tests, they’re still collecting a lot of data on Americans: who’s driving to the union house, the church, the mosque, the Alzheimer’s clinic. We should not go down the road of allowing this to be used in the United States.”
—Jay Stanley, ACLU

As The Guardian reported Friday, the defense and aerospace contractor Sierra Nevada Corporation was authorized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to send up to 25 balloons across six states to track vehicles.

U.S. Southern Command commissioned the project for the stated purpose of creating a “persistence surveillance system” to deter drug traffickers and perceived “homeland security threats.”

Civil liberties advocates were distressed at the newly-reported project on Friday, which the Sierra Nevada Corporation obtained a license to begin on July 12 and end on September 1.

“The deployment of this kind of surveillance capability in the United States is incredibly alarming,” Mana Azarmi, policy counsel for the Center for Democracy and Technology, told Common Dreams. “Persistent government surveillance, such as that facilitated by this technology, raises many civil liberties concerns and should not be permitted in the absence of a warrant.”

“Mass surveillance doesn’t make us safer,” the digital rights group Fight for the Future tweeted.

DOC Is Building An $11 mil Fortress Based On 35 Abusive Comments A Year.

From Alan Simmons at alansimmons.co.nz
Alan is President & Co-Leader of the NZ Outdoors Party

“The Department of Conservation continue to repeat the same old story about attacks on staff and how it is affecting their role in protecting our precious wildlife. NZ herald  https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12249704
This article repeats the same old same old as if their spin doctors have told them that if you repeat the story enough, people will start to believe it. But the opposite is happening and dislike for the Department continues to grow at an alarming rate.

You would think that wise heads in the Department could be thinking what’s going on?  What are we doing that has us becoming the most hated government department when we should be the most loved.
The department of Conservation’s obsession with the aerial spreading 1080 has built a huge dislike of the department as predicted by advisors to the Minister Nick Smith when he rammed through legislation allowing the aerial dropping of 1080 without resource consents. Nick Smith’s advice to cabinet included a statement that “Loss of local decision-making is not an effect of the proposed regulation that could be avoided, but rather its primary purpose.”
In my opinion if you take away the public’s right to be consulted then you will get opposition and resentment as the public have no ability to express their feelings except but by protest.

Using Docs own statistics it has 35 incidents per year where staff are abused or threatened out of a staff of 4000.  According to press reports these are having an accumulative effect on staff and diverting them from their work. I would suspect the threats are mostly via social media and some to rangers in the field undertaking enforcement work, so how does this affect the other 3980 staff. Especially when OIA requests to police show few if any of these so called threats are reported.
Rangers trying to enforce whitebait regulations, illegal camping, taking photographs of the landscape and hunting are likely to receive abuse. I would have thought it came with the job or have rangers become so soft and sensitive they report anything that hurts their feelings.?  I personally know of one incident reported where a DOC worker objected to a car parked outside their house that displayed a small ban 1080 bumper sticker.
Is it now an offense to criticise or have differing opinions to a government department?

As a result of the “35 incidents” per year the Department has convinced government to give it 11 million dollars to set up a new division of ex spies or police called “Security and Investigations Team” to deal with these threats.  6 staff to do what one might ask. Drive around town and remove bumper stickers, sit all day on computers and monitor facebook.

Part of the job description lists:

  • Building a security conscious culture and organisational capability
  • Ensuring security and other health and safety incidents are investigated and responded to appropriately

To apply for  this job you need to maintain a “SECRET ” security clearance, you should be able to access  government security and intelligence groups such as NZ Police, security leaders in other government agencies and the NZ Security Intelligence Service.

All of this because people are feeling frustrated about the lack of consultation or the occasional person gives a DOC ranger an earful!
Again DOC will say they have received and successfully prosecuted two major anti 1080 crimes. Both had nothing to do with the “peoples protest”. The first threatened to put 1080 into milk powder and was subsequently found to be a poison supplier who was miffed his own poison was not being used and the second was a lone wolf hunter threatening by letter to release Sika deer. Both were dealt with by the police.

It would seem to me DOC are building a fortress around themselves rather that trying to understand why they are becoming disliked and subject to a hostile public. To my way of thinking a change of culture and understanding would be a far better way to go.

Involve the public and bring the public along with you makes a far more sensible option but I fear DOC are digging themselves into a huge hole to defend their position.

It will take some courage from within the department to start the process of filling in the trenches.

SOME TRUTH ON THE ALLEGED THREATS TO DOC STAFF: AN OIA REQUEST TO POLICE REVEALS 9 IN THE LAST 31 MONTHS, DOC SAYS 93 LAST MONTH

DoC’s been paying $4K per month of your tax dollars for spying on environmentalists

So, last weekend came the revelation that DoC hired a firm to spy on certain environmentalists like the Marlborough deerstalkers, Stop Poisoning Coromandel Peninsula, Brook Valley Community group, the Stop 1080 Now Facebook group and the Rangitikei Environmental Health Watch. See the article:

DOC’s chats with Thompson & Clark reveal anti-1080 surveillance

Note the ‘anti’ word? It’s all about repackaging us. They want you to believe we are extremists, terrorists even & they promulgate this by their clever use of terminology. No mention of the more accurate title: ‘environmentalists’. All we want is a clean environment, clean water particularly & an assurance that our health is not being compromised. Not a priority for corporates of course and we are flies in the ointment of ‘progress’ in the form of corporate profiteering interests Predator Free 2050.

If nothing else this all illustrates the surveillance that is going on and the capability of FB & social media generally. We surely all know by now the internet is a handy information gathering tool. We’re in the public arena. The ridiculous thing is, EnvirowatchRangitikei’s information is all public (as are many of the FB pages & sites they’ve trolled for info) nothing secret squirrel about it. Could have accessed it for free. Still, they have the mission of pursuing  those dubious and murky claims of threatened violence. Please do read the following on that one:

SOME TRUTH ON THE ALLEGED THREATS TO DOC STAFF: AN OIA REQUEST TO POLICE REVEALS 9 IN THE LAST 31 MONTHS, DOC SAYS 93 LAST MONTH

Do you see mainstream media calling them out on those facts? Of course not & you won’t be any time soon.

Below is the video from the RadioNZ article, which also contains the pdf file with all the conversations had by the security firm… if you can be bothered trawling through it. These are the depths to which a country once considered Godzone has fallen in the post Roger Douglas frenzy for profits.

“Covert” facial recognition street lights coming to a neighborhood near you

From activistpost.com

By MassPrivateI

A recent Reuters article reveals that ST Engineering has been awarded $5.5 million to install facial recognition street lights in Singapore.

ST’s smart street lights come equipped with sensors, LED screens and covert cameras already installed.

Incredibly, ST claims their spying street lights can bring “healthcare benefits to residents.”

Just like smart city projects everywhere, Singapore claims that spying street lights “are not built by the government but by all of us – citizens, companies, agencies.”  And just like Riverhead, New York who claimed that police surveillance drones will revitalize downtown, Singapore claims their spying street lights will “lead to meaningful and fulfilled lives.”

Facial recognition street lights are designed to be covert

ST Engineering has even gone so far as to rename it’s covert facial recognition program: ST Countenance.

ST Countenance identifies people from a distance, without being intrusive. Covert and scalable, the system has the capability to be integrated with CCTV systems, reducing awareness that it is in operation.

DoC spent $100,000 on Thompson & Clark PI ‘protection’

Some of us recall a time when government departments didn’t need ‘protecting’, but then our government and its departments are now corporations. Corporations are ‘needing’ protection from the people who have found them out to be not what we all thought.

From newshub.co.nz

The Department of Conservation (DoC) has admitted spending more than $100,000 of taxpayer money on controversial private investigators Thompson & Clark.

Opponents of the 1080 poison have forced DoC to admit it uses the private investigators to monitor their social media, costing $103,187.

However, DoC has since denied ordering them to spy.

“The Department of Conservation has not contracted Thompson and Clark Limited or any other investigator to undertake surveillance,” it told Newshub.

DOC withholds information after demands from Thompson and Clark

The Department of Conservation (DOC) withheld official information after demands from security firm Thompson and Clark, internal emails show.

Thompson and Clark spied on anti-1080 activists for DOC, sharing intelligence through what it called its “Fusion Centre” – locked, hidden chat channels on messaging app Slack.

The work cost nearly $4000 a month – several government departments are signed up to similar packages – and also included a weekly phone briefing involving senior staff from both organisations.

Dept of Conservation Prying Spying Gets Caned

If you think this behaviour is new you need to read ‘Secrets and Lies: The anatomy of an anti-environmental PR campaign’ by Nicky Hager & Bob Burton. That was written in 1999, some 19 odd years ago.  Like our clean green image, democracy is sheer illusion.  EnvirowatchRangitikei

“The surveillance firm Thompson and Clark uses secret chat channels to communicate with government departments, and share information about members of the public it’s monitoring for those departments.”

From scoop.co.nz

The Department of Conservation has been spying on the anti-1080 poison public using controversial security firm Thompson and Clark, National Radio’s “Checkpoint” recently reported.

The news brought strong reaction from the anti-1080 public. Andi Cockroft, co-chairman Council of Outdoor Recreation Associations of NZ (CORANZ) said the spying showed the deceit and deception which bureaucrats would stoop to.

“This clearly demonstrates the levels to which the public’s government agencies will stoop to while pushing their abhorrent poisoning programme,” he said.

Laurie Collins spokesman for the Sporting Hunters Outdoor Trust (SHOT) described the spying as “bizarre and dangerous.”

New Zealand was a democracy not a dictatorship run by bureaucrats he said.

“DoC seem to be in total denial of democracy and that they’re public servants supposedly accountable to the public. They are actually spying on their employers – a sizeable chunk of the people who pay DOC’s bills and salaries. It’s melodramatic nonsense. It smacks of a propaganda war with introduced animal paranoia driving it.”

See how surveilled we really are Kiwis

Horowhenua was hit a week or two ago with the revelation that the District Council CE had been (and still is by all accounts) monitoring emails including blocking senders. He continues to maintain (along with his loyal followers who are not wildly for transparency and open books) that he’s done nothing wrong, after all, it’s rationalized, he was just protecting his staff from abuse. Many disagree. It was one of those occasions for which the highly developed word-tracking software just wouldn’t suffice. If you take a look at the Five Eyes partnership that we as a country are signed up to and note they meet quite regularly here in enzed (Queenstown was the latest I saw earlier this year) then we are quite well surveilled, but as with anything so covert, of course most of us haven’t a clue what it really means. This video will give you a good idea of what’s currently been going down elsewhere, and remember we’re a global village now, as the global governance folk tell us, so we are definitely all connected. Surveillance wise anyway. They’re still working on destroying our sovereignty.

“We are at present working discreetly, with all our might, to wrest this mysterious force called sovereignty out of the clutches of the local nation states of the world. And all the time we are denying with our lips what we are doing with our hands.”                                                       Arnold Toynbee – International Affairs, p.809, November 1931

When it comes down to it they’ll have a bit of a challenge on that front with Kiwis who fortunately are waking up fast.

Multinational Signals Intelligence

War leads to the erosion of liberty for the benefit of the military-industrial complex.  World War II set in motion the destruction of privacy and the formation of an Orwellian Police State controlled by the National Security Agency (NSA) of the United States of America.  Under the guise of cooperation and mutual respect, countries signed secret agreements with the NSA to share signals intelligence (SIGINT) which in layman’s terms means your phone calls, instant messages, and more.  [1] Shortly after World War II, the United States and its allies built the ECHELON system to spy on land and satellite-based communications worldwide. [2] Their closest allies, dubbed The Five Eyes (FVEY), received privileged treatment from the NSA community wherein these five countries share resources on a grand scale. [3] The Five Eyes are also know as AUSCANNZUKUS, short for AUStralia, CANada, New Zealand, UK, and US.   As time progressed the Five Eyes added two more tiers to their club: the Nine Eyes and Fourteen Eyes.  The Fourteen Eyes are officially known as SIGINT Seniors Europe, or “SSEUR” but I think we can unofficially call them: The New World Order.

This Anglosphere-based NWO group is now hell-bent on a United Nations based one-world government, with a single digital currency worldwide, and a completely disarmed populace. [4] The recent Snowden-disclosures should be enough to wake the people, however informal gas station polls show that Average Joe has no clue. Each member of The Fourteen Eyes of the New World Order is subservient to the Five Eyes, and all other nations are enemies of the one-world government.  To see this any other way is to have eyes and yet be blind.
