At least 50 African children paralyzed after receiving Bill Gates backed meningitis vaccine (2013)
WHO NOW OPENLY ADMITTING VACCINES CAUSE MORE POLIO THAN ACTUAL WILD VIRUS
Source: Ethan Huff
The World Health Organization (WHO) is finally coming clean about the fact that oral polio vaccines, which government officials claim prevents the polio infection, are actually spreading polio all throughout Africa.
Nigeria, Congo, Central African Republic, and Angola are all reporting new cases of polio caused by the oral polio vaccine, which is causing children to become paralyzed and die in the name of “disease prevention.”
In a recent report, the WHO revealed that there are now seven countries throughout Africa, including the aforementioned four, where oral polio vaccine-caused polio is harming children. Oral polio vaccines are also causing children to develop polio in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and elsewhere throughout Asia.
Contradicting what politicians and health authorities here in the West are claiming about the “miraculous” nature of FDA-approved vaccines, the WHO says that oral polio vaccines are wreaking havoc on public health all throughout the third…

Claims that 1080 poison operations were needed at Arthur’s Pass National Park were NOT based on any scientific evidence … Dr Jo Pollard’s open letter to DoC
From the ‘NO to 1080 use in NZ’ Facebook page
Claims that 1080 poison operations are needed – are NOT based on any evidence
On August 2019, Dr Pollard sent an open letter to Mike Slater, Deputy-Director General of Operations for the New Zealand Dept of Conservation.
This letter summarised the oft-repeated unscientific claims made by DoC as they present a ‘case’ to try to justify their inhumane aerial 1080 poison operations – in this case, Arthur’s Pass, South Island.
Some parts of this public land had never been poisoned before, so like Makarora in 2017, it would have been an excellent research ‘control area’ to compare the potential benefits to our ecosystems of NOT using this indiscriminate, inhumane toxin. But now that opportunity is lost, on November 25th 2019, 23,000 ha of Arthur’s Pass were aerially poisoned with 1080, as were some surrounding areas. Further aerial 1080 poisoning operations in the surrounding areas are also imminent (see yellow areas on pesticide summary map below).
In this scientific evidence-based letter, Dr Pollard clearly points out that:
1) DoC’s own so-called ‘pest’ control monitoring shows that there is no evidence of any pest ‘problem’.
2) There is also no evidence of the claimed ‘benefits’ of aerial poisoning operations such as this.
3) Furthermore, the risks are not fully acknowledged in any assessment. These risks include: contamination of our food chain, including drinking water; death of native species, secondary and by-kill of other species.
This is NOT an isolated case for Arthur’s Pass – Official Information Act responses from many other poison operations – including the one proposed for Mount Pirongia, central North Island – also have presented facts that prove DoC have NO evidence to support their claims that aerial poison operations are a necessity.
But sadly that does not currently stop the Government from over-ruling any public or professional objectives in order to carry out those poisonings.
1080 poison is an endocrine disruptor and in even minute traces can potentially cause miscarriage, infertility, heart conditions and harm to the unborn child. There have been NO public health studies into the potential long-term impact from a sub lethal dose of 1080 poison – for humans or any other species.

Loyal sheepdog tries to hunt down the truck transporting his flock to the slaughterhouse
For those folk who asked for some good news … the good news being the loyalty of the dog not the demise of the sheep 😦
An incredibly loyal Spanish sheepdog has hit national headlines after he chased a truck, loaded with his doomed flock, down a dangerous motorway as they were transported to an abattoir.
The dog, named Piqué, chased the herd of sheep – which he had protected since he was a young pup – for miles down the AP7 motorway near Barcelona. Piqué was rescued by local police, who shared the heart-wrenching tale of the dog who “protects his pack until the end” online.
Concerned motorists notified police of Piqué chasing a van down the highway, and luckily he escaped without injury. However the same can’t be said for his beloved flock who went on to meet their maker at the slaughterhouse.
Policewrotethat while “animals never cease to surprise us,” they requested that owners keep their pets safe and use this “beautiful dog” as an…

Did you know NZ is a leader in governmental use of AI?… there’s been a call for an independent regulator here to monitor & address the associated risks of the tech
From theconversation.com
New Zealand is a leader in government use of artificial intelligence (AI). It is part of a global network of countries that use predictive algorithms in government decision making, for anything from the optimal scheduling of public hospital beds to whether an offender should be released from prison, based on their likelihood of reoffending, or the efficient processing of simple insurance claims.
But the official use of AI algorithms in government has been in the spotlight in recent years. On the plus side, AI can enhance the accuracy, efficiency and fairness of day-to-day decision making. But concerns have also been expressed regarding transparency, meaningful human control, data protection and bias.
In a report released today, we recommend New Zealand establish a new independent regulator to monitor and address the risks associated with these digital technologies.
Read more: To protect us from the risks of advanced artificial intelligence, we need to act now
AI and transparency
There are three important issues regarding transparency.
One relates to the inspectability of algorithms. Some aspects of New Zealand government practice are reassuring. Unlike some countries that use commercial AI products, New Zealand has tended to build government AI tools in-house. This means that we know how the tools work.
But intelligibility is another issue. Knowing how an AI system works doesn’t guarantee the decisions it reaches will be understood by the people affected. The best performing AI systems are often extremely complex.
To make explanations intelligible, additional technology is required. A decision-making system can be supplemented with an “explanation system”. These are additional algorithms “bolted on” to the main algorithm we seek to understand. Their job is to construct simpler models of how the underlying algorithms work – simple enough to be understandable to people. We believe explanation systems will be increasingly important as AI technology advances.
A final type of transparency relates to public access to information about the AI systems used in government. The public should know what AI systems their government uses as well as how well they perform. Systems should be regularly evaluated and summary results made available to the public in a systematic format.
Read more: Avoid the politics and let artificial intelligence decide your vote in the next election
New Zealand’s law and transparency
Our report takes a detailed look at how well New Zealand law currently handles these transparency issues.
New Zealand doesn’t have laws specifically tailored towards algorithms, but some are relevant in this context. For instance, New Zealand’s Official Information Act (OIA) provides a right to reasons for decisions by official agencies, and this is likely to apply to algorithmic decisions just as much as human ones. This is in notable contrast to Australia, which doesn’t impose a general duty on public officials to provide reasons for their decisions.
But even the OIA would come up short where decisions are made or supported by opaque decision systems. That is why we recommend that predictive algorithms used by government, whether developed commercially or in-house, must feature in a public register, must be publicly inspectable, and (if necessary) must be supplemented with explanation systems.
Human control and data protection
Another issue relates to human control. Some of the concerns around algorithmic decision-making are best addressed by making sure there is a “human in the loop,” with a human having final sign off on any important decision. However, we don’t think this is likely to be an adequate solution in the most important cases.
Read more: Automated vehicles may encourage a new breed of distracted drivers
A persistent theme of research in industrial psychology is that humans become overly trusting and uncritical of automated systems, especially when those systems are reliable most of the time. Just adding a human “in the loop” will not always produce better outcomes. Indeed in certain contexts, human collaboration will offer false reassurance, rendering AI-assisted decisions less accurate.
With respect to data protection, we flag the problem of “inferred data”. This is data inferred about people rather than supplied by them directly (just as when Amazon infers that you might like a certain book on the basis of books it knows you have purchased). Among other recommendations, our report calls for New Zealand to consider the legal status of inferred data, and whether it should be treated the same way as primary data.
Bias and discrimination
A final area of concern is bias. Computer systems might look unbiased, but if they are relying on “dirty data” from previous decisions, they could have the effect of “baking in” discriminatory assumptions and practices. New Zealand’s anti-discrimination laws are likely to apply to algorithmic decisions, but making sure discrimination doesn’t creep back in will require ongoing monitoring.
The report also notes that while “individual rights” — for example, against discrimination — are important, we can’t entirely rely on them to guard against all of these risks. For one thing, affected people will often be those with the least economic or political power. So while they may have the “right” not to be discriminated against, it will be cold comfort to them if they have no way of enforcing it.
There is also the danger that they won’t be able to see the whole picture, to know whether an algorithm’s decisions are affecting different sections of the community differently. To enable a broader discussion about bias, public evaluation of AI tools should arguably include results for specific sub-populations, as well as for the whole population.
A new independent body will be essential if New Zealand wants to harness the benefits of algorithmic tools while avoiding or minimising their risks to the public.
Alistair Knott, James Maclaurin and Joy Liddicoat, collaborators on the AI and Law in New Zealand project, have contributed to the writing of this piece.

Horowhenua’s former Mayor speaks on pollution in the region & why little is being done about it
A truthful commentary from Horowhenua’s ex Mayor Michael Feyen on the pollution issues regarding Lake Horowhenua & more importantly why they are not being properly addressed. Not an uncommon story in this era of neo lib economics. Michael is able to share from the unique standpoint of a former insider. Whilst mayor & prior to that a councilor, he was largely censored and silenced from speaking out on these important issues that DCs largely pay lip service to (see other links below). Very brief notes also below but do listen to the full commentary. About 22 minutes in length. EWR
- HDC, DoC & Horizons have used the divide & rule concept with the guardians of Lake Horowhenua.
- Sediment traps put in by council without consents.
- Council cut off Phillip Taueki’s water for 700 days (Phillip is an owner of the lake who has lived there 14 years). (See here also). He has also beenvictimized by Police.
- Court & a Judge’s conflict of interest.
- Unfinished audit that should have been finalised before ex Mayor Feyen’s departure. No independent audit either. Unheard of for annual plan to not be signed off before elections. No audit at HDC for at least 12 years.
- No confidence in DoC’s handling of the issue.
- No confidence in the Lake Horowhenua Lake Domain Board.
- Incestuous development system in town where ratepayers pay for infrastructure and developers don’t.
- Hidden reasons as to why the lake is being left the way it is.
- Similar pollution & other issues going on at the Foxton River Loop.
- Priority given to the ‘edifices’ rather than the essential issues.
- Treaty obligations.

Pike River re-entry team to venture further into mine as WorkSafe gives green light
From tvnz (video at the link)
WorkSafe has this morning given the official Pike River re-entry team permission to move further up the mine’s drift.
The next step will see fresh air pumped into the Pike River Mine drift this week and the team will move up the remainder of the 2.3km drift, beyond the 170m seal they reached some weeks ago.
Permission was needed from Worksafe to progress any further in the mine for safety reasons, which has been given today.
Sonya Rockhouse, re-entry campaigner and mother of one of the miners who died in the mine said this is what they’ve been working towards for the past nine years.
“At the end of the day, we’ve been saying it is safe for a long time and we’ve just had to wait for this process to go through. It’s really exciting,” said Ms Rockhouse.
“It vindicates what we’ve been saying all along.”
Ms Rockhouse said everyone has been waiting to get on with the job.
“We had no idea that it would end like this but its fantastic, all worth it. Morale is very high.”
On November 19, 2010, 29 men working in the mine died after an explosion at the West Coast site.
In that time, Ms Rockhouse said the families and re-entry campaign has faced a lot of negativity, even recently. She said those people should walk a mile in their shoes.
“A lot of people say it’s been nine years you need to move on, I wish I could move on that’s what we would like to be able to do but when somebody dies under normal circumstances you have a body and you get to grieve over that body and you get to go through the whole grieving process and we’ve got a huge chunk of that missing,” she said.
“”Imagine if it was your son or husband or brother.”
Today’s development comes after families of the Pike River victims travelled into the main drift on October 3.

Polluting for Personal Profit – How NZ’s Waterways are Trashed
Time to revisit this one
Here we have an article from the Manawatu Standard (under ‘opinion’) that is rare in its honesty, about the machinations of our environmental ‘protection’ agencies in drawing environmental protection groups into their fold. It’s called ‘collaboration’ but is not what it seems, as the article very honestly points out, titling the collaboration process ‘unmitigated bull faeces’. How refreshing to hear such truth. Our Councils and Horizons pay lip service to environmental protection, bandying around the Agenda 21 catchwords, ‘sustainable development’ and ‘smart growth’ all the while continuing on their ‘polluting for personal profit’ trajectory. If you want to see extreme water pollution, check out Lake Horowhenua, once the pristine food basket of local people Muaupoko, it’s been polluted for decades with human faeces, never mind bull faeces, although some of that goes in there as well. Leading Meteorologist Slams Climate Alarmists As “Desperate and Scientifically Wrong”…PIK “Doomsday Prophets”

PIK’s “silly” science, doomsday prophets
The veteran meteorologist, who is convinced the planet is indeed warming due to man’s activities, worries that environmental groups have been getting away with falsehoods and how the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) is promoting “silly” science and “view themselves as the prophets of the imminent end of the world.”
One problem with all the über-alarmism, Kachelmann sees, is a tendency of people simply resigning because they’ve come to believe that nothing can be done to stop the coming doomsday, and so why bother trying.
He also sharply criticizes green activists who blame every extreme weather event on man-made climate change…

Johnson & Johnson, ovarian cancer risks, and the law
From whenwomeninspire.com
Across America, women are taking the fight to Johnson & Johnson. The massive company behind many of the nation’s favorite products has come under fire amongst claims that their product, talcum powder, can cause ovarian cancer. If you want to take part in this class action lawsuit, make sure you seek out a professional compensation lawyer and get the Johnson & Johnson ovarian cancer risks details here.
About the lawsuit regarding Johnson & Johnson ovarian cancer risks
The claims come after the resurfacing of a study from 1982. As a result of this study, a group of researchers took their findings to Johnson & Johnson. They told them that the results of their research clearly suggested a link between talcum powder and a higher risk of developing cancer.
Twelve years later, in 1994, the Cancer Prevention Coalition also appealed to the company to ask them to recall the products and stop making talcum powder with its current ingredients.
The group spearheading the lawsuit versus the company claim that the company knowingly ignored the research and never told the public about it. They didn’t put warning labels on their products, and they even advertised that people use the potentially cancerous products on high-risk parts of their bodies.

12 Science-Backed Reasons to Say “No” to the Gardasil Vaccine
Reconfirmed: Artificial Sweeteners Make You Fat and Sick
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
A growing body of research shows artificial sweeteners raise your risk of both obesity and Type 2 diabetes — perhaps even to a greater degree than sugar.
Recent research shows both sugar and artificial sweeteners damage vascular function and cause cellular changes that “may be important during the onset and progression of diabetes and obesity”.
Unlike sugar, artificial sweeteners were found to accumulate in blood, leading to more significant damage to blood vessels. Acesulfame potassium appeared to be worse than aspartame in this regard.
The artificial sweeteners were also found to trick the body into using alternative sources of glucose, such as muscle. Evidence of protein breakdown was found in the animals’ blood.
The results indicate artificial sweeteners alter how your body processes fat and produces energy at the cellular level, and while working on different chemical pathways, they produce the same kinds of health consequences as sugar.

Police tested for about six poisons, none of them 1080, and then “had the effrontery” to tell him this was not a death by 1080 poison.
[Remember this is the 2006 story concerning the loss by a NZ laboratory of the heart of a young woman who was a suspected victim of 1080 poisoning while tramping in the South Island. His statement also explains the reticence of any laboratory that does test for 1080 in disclosing their identity. EWR.

Last year I met with retired Dunedin GP, Kevin Shannon, still fit and tall and travelling the world at the age of 87. Kevin (who gave a submission at the ERMA Review 2007, on the case of the death of a female tramper in the link below), is of the opinion that:
…some New Zealanders, no-one knows how many, will have died of heart attacks due to undetected Compound 1080 (sodium monofluoroacetate).
Kevin added that in this instance the Police tested for about six poisons, none of them 1080, and then “had the effrontery” to tell him this was not a death by 1080 poison.
He told me that no dead body will ever be tested for 1080 in NZ because any pathologist who did so would not have a job for long.

Children in Ireland protest against proposed Vodafone cell tower installation at their school
Note the protest signs: “While on our summer holidays, Vodafone put up a planning application for a mast, they left our school out of their map, our classes are in the greatest beam of intensity”.
This is how sneaky they are. Yes these towers get erected any old where pretty much and with impunity. (See the cancer cluster info from living near one). I’ve seen them in NZ right near schools where little ones spend their days. Even right next door to preschools. They get put up with no consultation & of course because the people are told they’re safe, nothing to worry about, nobody raises a protest by and large. For a good exposé of the health risks watch the doco Take Back Your Power by Josh del Sol (it’s on Youtube … for now anyway). You will hear the story of the young student whose Uni accommodation was right near one of those towers. His life reached an untimely end after reported headaches that turned out to be a brain tumour. When his mother later investigated she found that his predecessors in the same hostel room had also contracted cancer & died. Page after page … you will see and hear her tell the details. These towers are a crime & we must protest them when they propose erecting one in the vicinity of populations…. as these awake children are in Ireland. EWR

HPV Vaccine – Help Pay For VIOXX

Merck forcing your child to pay for their losses in court
November 23, 2019 — Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has revealed that Merck’s internal documents state the company’s big push to have their HPV vaccine Gardasil become mandatory for all children over the age of 9 is to help offset the losses the company experienced from VIOXX lawsuits.
VIOXX was Merck’s #1 product. It was a prescription painkiller that was causing heart attacks and strokes. The company was sued in court and it was revealed that Merck was aware their drug was killing people and did nothing about it. They agreed to pay $7 billion to settle the lawsuits against them.
In an interview with The Gilchrist Experience RFK Jr. reveals that internal Merck documents show the company is promoting mandatory HPV vaccines to children as a way to convince Wall St. analysts that their stock was set to boom…

Watch how mercury kills your brain: don’t allow it in your teeth (VIDEO)
Don’t allow amalgam fillings in your mouth or your child’s. It is mercury they are putting in there. What parent would pack a hazardous substance into their child’s teeth? If you spill mercury by breaking a thermometer or one of those ‘green’ (not) lightbulbs, you phone the hazard people. And yet they deem it safe to sit in your teeth like that for many decades, gradually leaching its poison into your system every time you chew. Likewise they pump it into you via vaccines. Doesn’t make sense does it? EWR
wakingtimes.com posted this article (video further down):
Alex Pietrowski, Staff Writer
Waking Times
One of the most serious byproducts of modern living is the inundation of the human body and natural environment with toxic chemicals and substances used in medical and consumer products. Just under our noses are a ton of toxic materials, and when you look at the ingredients of pharmaceuticals and contaminants in foods, you see that people are consuming a ton of dangerous substances.
Take for instance mercury, a dangerous heavy metal that is commonly used in light bulbs, batteries, and other electronics, is widely used in dental filling and is also an ingredient in many vaccines. As our society attempts to understand the nature and causes of the growing epidemic of autism, which is affecting far too many children and families, many are pointing the finger to mercury poisoning and toxicity as a likely culprit.
So what exactly does mercury do to healthy brain cells?
Many scientists and concerned vaccine safety advocates are eager to answer this question. Vaccine awareness advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. comments on toxic heavy metals:
“In nature, toxic metals generally are bound with other elements rather than being present in their pure form. However, with the advent of large-scale industrial processes to extract metals from naturally occurring compounds, humans let the genie out of the bottle, contributing significantly to the distribution of mercury, aluminum and other heavy metals in the environment. When released from nature’s semi-protective hold, these “invariably toxic” metals wreak havoc on living systems, including humans, animals and plants alike.
Modern-day scientists have been amassing evidence of mercury’s toxicity for decades, with a growing focus in recent years on the metal’s association with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). A new review article in the multidisciplinary journal Environmental Research pulls together a wide body of literature with the aim of summing up current research and emerging trends in mercury toxicology. Geir Bjørklund, the study’s lead author, is the founder of Norway’s non-profit Council for Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and has published prolifically on topics related to heavy metals, autoimmune disorders and ASD.” ~Robert F Kennedy Jr.
A study conducted at the University of Calgary looked at the effect that mercury has on brain neurons, photographing the effects and compiling a video of real-time results of mercury vs. your brain. In the study, entitled, How Mercury Causes Brain Degeneration, researchers looked at brain lesions in animals who had inhaled mercury vapor.
“Mercury has long been known to be a potent neuro-toxic substance, whether it is inhaled, or consumed in the diet as a food contaminant.” [Source]
The study recorded actual video of healthy snail brain cells growing, then introduced mercury into the culture, which caused rapid degeneration of the snail brain cells after just 20 minutes of direct exposure. The results are quite startling, especially when you consider the ramifications on human health, most notably children who are receiving doses of vaccines which may contain mercury.
The results are seen in the video presentation below:

A newspaper article at the time stated that the German govt had conducted a long, large, thorough study about the benefits of recycling, something they were world leaders in. (Bottle collection points in every neighborhood, separated garbage etc.) They came to a disturbing conclusion:
• first, that the recycling processes created more pollution than it was supposed to alleviate;
• second, that they would continue the same recycling protocols anyway because they make people feel better (virtue signalling high!).

South Carolina Lawmakers Propose Ban on Drugging and Mutilating ‘Transgender’ Kids
This bill is considered controversial in clown world.
Source:
South Carolina legislators have proposed a bill that would ban “transgender” children from being drugged or operated upon for the purposes of their gender transition.
The legislation would prohibit drugs treating the “symptoms of clinically significant distress resulting from gender dysphoria.” It would criminalize all efforts to transition minors under the age of 18 toward a different gender.
The legislation’s primary sponsor is State Rep. Stewart Jones (R-Laurens). He told Post and Courier that he drafted the legislation after being alerted to the tragic case of 7-year-old James Younger of Texas.
“It’s almost been weaponized, and this is to protect children,” Jones said.
“For a child, it’s a whole different matter,” Jones added. “Somebody under 18, they can’t buy cigarettes and alcohol, and so they shouldn’t be able to have a sex change.”

Over 5 million Americans have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Another 10,000,000 suffer with severe dementia and Parkinson’s. Even more struggle with age-related mild cognitive impairment. Here are 7 natural ways to defend your brain.
Alzheimer’s disease affects about 5.3 million Americans. It’s the leading cause of dementia and the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. And it’s growing at an alarming rate. Already 13% of people over 65 have been diagnosed with the disease. An astounding 43% of those over the age of 85 are victims.[i]
Alzheimer’s has been called the defining disease of the boomer generation. Its victims are expected to triple by the year 2050.
In addition, it’s estimated that 10,000,000 others suffer with severe dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
But even if you escape these debilitating and life-threatening diseases, you may be among millions more who suffer from mild cognitive impairment (MCI or what is frequently called “age-related cognitive dysfunction”) and normal “age–associated memory impairment.” These conditions are what many of us have experienced as “senior moments.” The symptoms include memory loss, as well as a decline in the ability to think and reason.
Some of these problems are a result of the natural aging of our brains. But others arise from poor nutrition and exposure to environmental toxins.
Drugs have shown little promise and serious side effects. But here are seven proven methods to keep your brain young and sharp.
1. Bacopa Boosts Cognition
Bacopa monnieri (L.) is a traditional herb used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. It is prescribed as a memory and learning enhancer, a sedative, and anti-epileptic. In Australia, it is a popular memory aid for people over 60 years old.
Bacopa grows in the wet tropics and is also commonly known by its English name, water hyssop.
In a rigorous study published in the Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, researchers found that Bacopa has positive effects on several measures of cognitive performance. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, they gave participants either 300 mg of Bacopa daily or a placebo pill. The subjects were 54 volunteers, 65 or older, without clinical signs of dementia. [ii]
After 12 weeks, those taking Bacopa improved their delayed recall memory, their reaction times and their ability to ignore irrelevant information. Placebo recipients saw no change.
In addition Bacopa recipients showed a decrease in heart rate, depression and anxiety while placebo recipients saw increases.
Three other double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled studies support Bacopa’s benefits in verbal learning abilities, delayed recall of word pairs, and age-associated memory impairment.[iii], [iv], [v]
Bacopa’s memory-enhancing effects have been attributed in part to saponins. Other ways Bacopa may work include its antioxidant effects, protein synthesis in the brain, and modulation of brain stress hormones.
Other studies show Bacopa extracts also ameliorate neurotoxic effects of nicotine and aluminum, and reduce β-amyloid plaque levels in animals.
2. Ginkgo Biloba Improves Memory
For years gingko biloba has been linked to memory improvement. It acts as a free radical scavenger, protecting neurons from oxidation. It also improves microcirculation in the brain and reduces platelet aggregation.
Human studies show taking gingko biloba regularly can improve mental health, cognition, motor skills and quality of life.[vi] It’s particularly helpful for memory loss, attention, alertness, vigilance, arousal and mental fluidity.[vii]
In 2005 researchers put gingko biloba up against Pfizer’s $4 billion a year prescription drug donepezil (trade name Aricept) in a 24-week randomized, double-blind study. [viii] An extract of gingko biloba (160 mg per day) was found to be just as effective as the drug for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease. The researchers concluded there were no relevant differences in the efficacy of gingko biloba and donepezil, and use of both substances can be justified.
In a more recent double-blind trial gingko biloba was found to be significantly better than placebo in improving cognitive function and behavioral symptoms in 400 patients with Alzheimer’s disease or vascular dementia.[ix]
3. Tea, Wine and Chocolate Improve Thinking Skills
As we get older, a diet high in some flavonoid-rich foods may help with better thinking skills.
Researchers examined the relation between 3 common foods that contain flavonoids (chocolate, wine, and tea) and cognitive performance. They followed 2,031 participants aged 70 to 74 years from the Hordaland Health Study in Norway.[x]
People who consumed chocolate, wine, or tea had significantly better scores on cognitive tests and lower rates of poor cognitive performance.
Those who ate all three foods had the best test scores and the lowest risks for poor test performance.
The good results were dose dependent. The best performance maxed out at 10 grams per day of chocolate and 75-100 ml per day of wine. The effect was most pronounced for wine and modestly weaker for chocolate.
Other research shows that resveratrol, found in wine and chocolate, has the ability to neutralize the toxic effects of proteins linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
In a study published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry researchers showed that resveratrol selectively targets and neutralizes clumps of peptides or proteins that are bad and have been linked to Alzheimer’s, but leaves alone those that are benign.[xi]
Resveratrol is a chemical compound in plants that acts as an antibiotic to fight off both bacteria and fungus. Besides grapes and cacao, it is found in raspberries, mulberries, blueberries, and cranberries. It’s also in peanuts, pine trees and Japanese knotweed, the source of most resveratrol supplements.
4. Antioxidants Decelerate Brain-Aging
It’s clear that people eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables have fewer age-related diseases like Alzheimer’s. Eating more high-antioxidant foods such as berries, Concord grapes, and walnuts may enhance cognitive and motor function in older people.[xii]
Studies show supplementing with fruit or vegetable extracts high in antioxidants (e.g. blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, and Concord grape juice) helps decrease the vulnerability to oxidative stress that occurs in aging. That can lead to improvements in behavior.
Fruits and vegetables can also enhance communication between neurons and decrease stress signals induced by oxidation and inflammation.
Other studies indicate that blueberry or Concord grape juice supplementation in humans with mild cognitive impairment increases verbal memory performance.
5. Intermittent Fasting Regenerates Brain
Overeating is a risk factor for many age-related diseases including cognitive impairment.
Experimental models of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and stroke show that dietary restriction (reduced calorie intake) can beef up the resistance of neurons in the brain to dysfunction and death.
How? Dietary restriction stimulates the expression of ‘stress proteins’ and neurotrophic factors. Neurotrophic factors may protect neurons by increasing production of proteins that suppress oxidation and free radicals.
In addition, dietary restriction increases the number of newly-generated neural cells in the adult brain. In other words, it may increase the brain’s capacity for plasticity and self-repair.
Researchers suggest that limiting calories may reduce both the incidence and severity of neurodegenerative disorders in humans.[xiii]
Intermittent fasting is not as difficult as it sounds. It doesn’t involve just drinking water. Most intermittent fasting plans cut calories to 25% of normal amounts. That’s about 600 calories for men and 500 calories for women on one or two days of the week.
6. Sleep Cleans Out Brain Toxins
A University of Oregon study shows middle-aged or older people who get six to nine hours of sleep a night think better than those sleeping either fewer or more hours.[xiv]
Researchers used data involving more than 30,000 subjects in six countries. They found that individuals sleeping less than six hours and more than nine hours had significantly lower cognitive scores compared to those in the intermediate group.
The researchers used five standard cognitive tests involving immediate recall of a list of words, delayed recall of those words later, forward and backward recall of long lists of numbers, and a verbal fluency test in which they listed as many animals as possible without repetition, the use of proper nouns or descriptors.
One reason a good night’s sleep works is the brain’s trash removal system. During sleep the brain works 10 times as hard to remove toxic proteins like the ones responsible for Alzheimer’s damage.[xv] If you’re not asleep, the brain can’t get rid of plaques so easily.
7. Curcumin Clears Alzheimer’s Plaques
The incidence of Alzheimer’s among adults in India is about 4.4 times less than that of Americans.[xvi]
Researchers in Singapore suggest the reason might be curry and the spice turmeric. They looked at curry consumption and brain performance in 1,010 Asians between 60 and 93 years of age. Those who ate curry occasionally (less than once a month) and often (more than once a month) performed better than those who rarely or never ate curry.[xvii]
Over 30 studies in the GreenMedInfo data base deal with the promise of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, in the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. According to one study, turmeric showed remarkable results in Alzheimer patients in just three months.
A 2006 UCLA study found curcumin may help clear the amyloid plaques found in Alzheimer’s disease. One way it works is by boosting the work of macrophages. These cells in the immune system help the body fight foreign proteins.
Researchers took macrophages from the blood of Alzheimer’s patients and healthy controls. They treated some of the macrophages with curcumin. The treated macrophages showed improved ingestion of the beta-amyloid proteins. The researchers concluded that curcumin may support the immune system to clear amyloid plaques.[xviii]
And in animal studies low doses of curcumin led to 40% less beta-amyloid than in those not given the spice.[xix]
Studies indicate low doses of turmeric over a long period of time are most effective. That’s a good reason to add turmeric to your daily diet. It’s great in curry sauces, scrambled eggs, deviled eggs, mustard sauces or salad dressings.
There are many other natural ways to keep your brain young including coconut oil, ginger, B-vitamins[xx], and saffron.

The overpopulation apocalypse has become the diminishing population flopocalypse
The Defining Event Of The 21st Century: Underpopulation
From lewrockwell.com
By Bill Sardi
There are apocalyptic books that alter the course of history. The Bible, for one. Paul Ehrlich’s Population Bomb, published in 1968, another. Since Ehrlich’s book predicted hundreds of millions of people would starve to death because of overpopulation, modern populations have groveled with family planning, birth control, abortion, forced population control (China) and imagined threats of famines and resultant environmental and climate disasters. Then this book:
EMPTY PLANET, The Shock Of Global Population Decline, by Canadian researchers Darrell Bricker and John Ibbitson (Little Brown Book Group, 2019)
According to its authors, young women won’t need to forgo having babies to save the planet, they have already instinctively delayed or foregone childbirth for reasons of career, pursuit of wealth and autonomy, no covert or overt population control plans needed.
The postulation of the book is that in countries where urbanization is a trend and the standard of living and incomes are high, women are having so few babies as to imperil the required growth in their country’s future. Cultural changes, not any religious dictums or government regulations, are responsible for this monumental change.
But wait, outmoded ideas sometimes never fade away. Old ideas remain indelibly in the minds of people, particularly the doomsday ideas of Paul Ehrlich. If what EMPTY PLANET book says is true, then many are still mired in the past (notice the dates on these proclamations).
- Joe Pfeifer, in his October 5, 2019 missive posted at ReporterHerald.com, says: “We should focus on the one root cause for all these catastrophes. Our planet cannot sustain the doubling of our global population that occurs ever 61 years… we have too many people.”
- The world clearly can’t support 10 billion people living like Americans do today. – Science Magazine, July 1, 2005
- “Consider adoption if you want children.”
– Sean Dennison, Oct. 9, 2019 - Calls to have few or no children to fight climate change are common. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Prince Harry have become advocates for limited birthing. – Vox, August 20, 2019
- Kevin Casey writing at com (November 20, 2019) says: “Climate changes is not the biggest threat to the world’s environment – we are… Now our numbers are out of control, and that presents us with limited options… Stop getting sidetracked by the climate change industry and recognize that the problem is our sheer numbers and blatant disregard for the planet’s health – not the climate… We need more global promotion of family planning, more female empowerment and government incentive to have fewer children—not more.”
In the quintessential argument over whether the planet is half-empty/half-full, the overpopulation mantra is paused by these startling recent headlines:
- “Everyone knows that the world is overpopulated, or soon will be. But what if everyone is wrong.” — Steven Mosher, Population Research Institute, Feb. 8, 2019
- “We’ve worried about overpopulation for centuries. And we’ve always been wrong.” — Vox 20, 2019
- “The biggest problem the world will face is population collapse.”
— Elon Musk, Jack Ma, Aug. 30, 2019
There are some over-population prophets who are going to have to eat their words.
