Nicolas Daniel’s documentary “Fillet-Oh-Fish” takes a critical look at the fish industry, featuring exclusive footage from fish farms and factories across the globe. Many still have a rather romanticized view of fishing, but when it comes to large-scale food production, the picture is actually rather grim.
Today’s fisheries are faced with a range of severe problems, from overfishing to chemical pollution and genetic mutation from toxic exposures. As noted by the producers of the film, “through intensive farming and global pollution, the flesh of the fish we eat has turned into a deadly chemical cocktail.” [1]
Despite that, the fish business is booming, in part due to efforts to keep the dirty underbelly of modern fisheries from public sight.

Farmed Salmon — One of the Most Toxic Foods in the World?
The film starts off in Norway, looking at the chemicals used in fish farms. Kurt Oddekalv is a respected Norwegian environmental activist, and he believes salmon farming is a disaster both for the environment and for human health.
Below the salmon farms dotted across the Norwegian fjords, there’s a layer of waste some 15 meters high, teeming with bacteria, drugs, and pesticides. In short, the entire sea floor has been destroyed, and since the farms are located in open water, the pollution from these farms is in no way contained.
(Minds) Bioquark, a biotech company based in the United States, has been given the go-ahead to begin research on 20 brain-dead patients, in an attempt to stimulate and regrow neurons and, literally, bring the patients back from the dead.
By implanting stem cells in the patient’s brain, in addition to treating the spinal cord with infusions of chemicals and nerve stimulation techniques (both of which have been shown to bring people out of comas), they hope to reboot the brain and jump-start neural activity.
The result could be people coming back to life.
There isn’t much evidence that this will work, though there is one well-known neurological researcher and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Calixto Machado who is involved with the study as a panel expert.

Facebook has suspended several accounts operated by Maffick Media without prior warning, right after CNN ran a report about the company’s perceived ties to the Kremlin.
In what seems to be a new step in the social media giant’s fight against perceived ‘Russian propaganda’, Facebook took down, without prior notice, several pages offering video content. The social media network said it would ask the administrators of Soapbox, Back Then and Waste-Ed to disclose their “Russian affiliations.”
“People connecting with Pages shouldn’t be misled about who’s behind them. Just as we’ve stepped up our enforcement of coordinated inauthentic behavior and financially motivated spam over the past year, we’ll continue improving so people can get more information about the Pages they follow,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.

So according to this article from the News Room, Ngāi Tahu have been instrumental in the loss of habitat for the small brown Eyrewell beetle in NZ… and it would appear, DoC almost powerless to stop them? The little beetle, like many insects world wide, is becoming extinct (not that any manufacturers of the lucrative poisons slathered world wide over everything would care).
Whatever you may think about Ngāi Tahu or their part in the demise of this beetle DoC can hardly point fingers at them witness our increasingly silent forests in NZ. They are dropping tonnes of the insecticide 1080 all over our ecosystem like a veritable lolly scramble, with no long term studies to prove to us it is saving our birds as it claims. On top of all that they actually claim it targets pests (& does not kill non target creatures) when clearly by their own documented information & independent science, 1080 kills every living breathing organism period. The little beetle here also began its demise with the ongoing planting & felling of pine forests. So really it’s a bit rich all round to be pointing the finger at Ngāi Tahu. Aside from that, turn the clock back a century and a bit & you’ll find the ongoing cry was that Māori lands that were uncultivated or not farmed were ‘waste’ lands, a good reason why Māori shouldn’t own them. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
Search for Eyrewell Forest on Google Maps and you won’t find a forest. In fact, what you see looks similar to surrounding Canterbury farm land.
What was once a forest is now home to 14,000 dairy cows. Satellite photographs show a tell-tale pattern of circles where centre-pivot irrigators are busy creating grass where trees once stood.
The forest was home to a small, dark brown beetle commonly known as the Eyrewell ground beetle. Globally, only 10 have ever been found. All were found amongst trees in Eyrewell Forest, the last in 2005.
The beetles’ home was returned to Ngāi Tahu as part of a treaty settlement in 2000. Since then the 6700 hectares of plantation pines have steadily disappeared and dairy cows have taken over.

The march of chainsaws, shredders and pivot irrigators continued despite eight years of effort by the Department of Conservation (DOC) to convince Ngāi Tahu Farming to save some the beetles’ habitat in reserves.
In October 2018 Ngāi Tahu Farming told Stuff the last of the forest would be removed for the intensive dairy conversion. Its CEO Andrew Priest said the organisation turns to Ngāi Tahu values guide their farming.

According to him 120 hectares of plantation pine has been retained. From aerial photographs it appears this has been done only in one area where beetles were possibly found. Other areas where beetles were found are treeless, one area has a small amount of scrub.
Priest said Lincoln University has been surveying the likely remaining spots of the beetle since 2013. No beetles have been found. He said search efforts will be abandoned in 2020.
The risk of extinction is so extreme one scientist, Eckehard Brockerhoff, who found five of the 10 collected beetles, is considered penning an obituary.
If he does, the obituary will be scant on detail of the beetle as so little is known about it. It’s a bit over 1cm long, nocturnal, and scientists think it lives for two years.
Wingless and described as a “moderate” runner it has managed to move from the kānuka it inhabited in the 1920s to the plantation pine which replaced it. It could even be called tenacious, as it also survived repeated rounds of removing and replacing areas of plantation pine as areas of forest were progressively logged and replanted.
Whether its tenacity could survive the dairy conversion is another matter according to Brockerhoff who spent thousands of trapping days attempting to find the beetle in the early 2000s. His efforts netted five beetles.
“It [the dairy conversion] involves felling all the trees, ripping out the root stock and then pretty much mulching the coarser woody material which is left behind into small chips. They took like a giant shredder over it. It was a very effective method of not only shredding any plant matter, but any invertebrates that are larger than a pinhead. I didn’t think the beetles would have stood much of a chance to survive in those converted areas.”
In the views of the scientists, setting aside a reserve of plantation pine where beetles were found in the 6700 ha property could have given the beetle a fighting chance.

Failed talks
Brockerhoff sums up Ngāi Tahu Farming’s reception to the idea of establishing a reserve to save the beetles habitat as “a bit reluctant.”
Documents attained under the Official Information Act show repeated efforts were made by DOC between 2005 and 2013 to promote the creation of a reserve.
Emails exchanges started off cheerfully. A 2009 email from DOC to Ngāi Tahu’s rural manager reads: “Just been chatting to [redacted name] here at DOC re the possibility of setting up a reserve at Eyrewell – the same chat we had about two years ago I’m sure you recall!!!”
Once trees started to be cut down and with no formal agreement about the creation of a reserve the tone grew more urgent. In internal DOC emails frustration is clear.
“It’s fine for private landowners to develop their land, however it seems absurd for us a community to be allowing the unplanned clearance of much of the forest when this will knowingly cause the extinction of Holcaspis [Eyrewell ground beetle] …”
A plan by Ngāi Tahu Farming to reserve 150ha of pine forest was called “commendable”, however, the location of the reserve was not in the area where the beetle had been found. Restoration planting Ngāi Tahu Farming was planning to undertake was also not considered to be a solution which would save the beetle.
“… preserving a small amount of their habitat before it is gone will give us a great chance of saving these species from global extinction and regional extinction respectively, and one that is far more effective than some-how recreating their habitat … some minor changes to the location and size of the reserves would effectively save these species from extinction.”
DOC staff listed their attempts at finding a way to save the beetles’ habitat through the district and regional council pathways. A judicial review was suggested, although it was noted this was with some nervousness as there would be several “legal fish hooks”.
There was no judicial review. After 2013, the emails stopped.
DOC Mahaanui operations manager Andy Thompson said he understood Ngāi Tahu Farming commissioned Lincoln University to help with restoration efforts after 2013. Thompson was not aware of what the outcome has been and whether DOC’s eight years campaigning for a reserve had any effect.
“DOC would have loved to have seen a reserve created and an Eyrewell ground beetle population flourishing. The reality is we can only provide advice for managing biodiversity values on private land or advocate through consent processes and district council plans.
“We don’t have the ability to directly manage private land.”
“The fact that most of the forest has gone and now no beetles are being found means they’ve likely already been driven extinct, and a couple more years of trapping will probably confirm that.”
Ngāi Tahu Farming’s response
Priest said the plight of the beetle was an issue of importance to Ngāi Tahu Farming.
“Since 2013, Lincoln University has been surveying the Eyrewell Forest area at the request of Ngāi Tahu and has found no beetles. They have surveyed in the likely remaining sites using the same techniques as the original survey and have not found any beetles after searching for approximately 30,000 trap days. These annual surveys will continue until 2020 at this stage.
“In this area, approximately 120ha of pine forest has been retained and at least another 100ha of land has been set aside for native kānuka shrub land restoration. The pine forest in the central section of the development has not been cleared away, which is important to note because it is in this area that Canterbury Beetles [Eyrewell beetles] were once recorded.”
Ngāi Tahu Farming have been asked to clarify where these areas are on an aerial map but did not respond prior to publishing.
Wikipedian-at-large and keen entomologist Doctor Mike Dickison has expressed concern over the plight of the beetles for several months. He was not impressed by Ngāi Tahu Farming’s efforts.
“The preferred habitat of the beetle is pine forest, and they’ve removed 98.3% of the pine forest, chipped and mulched what’s left, and turned it into dairy pasture.”
With only one of the areas the beetle has been found in left as forest he suspects it will never be seen again.
“The fact that most of the forest has gone and now no beetles are being found means they’ve likely already been driven extinct, and a couple more years of trapping will probably confirm that.”

He’s not reassured by the claims of restoration efforts. During a recent visit to the area he saw planting in the corners of centre-pivot irrigated paddocks with dead plants.
A Lincoln University website show what it calls a “distributed forest” as being proposed for the farm. Concept drawings show thin rings of native trees surrounding centre-pivot irrigators.
Brockerhoff said when he was in talks with Ngāi Tahu Farming it hoped shelter belts which were going to be established between irrigated paddocks would provide enough habitat for the beetles.
“We suggested a single row of trees in the landscape established after the habitat conversion would probably not do the trick.”
He was unsurprised at the news no beetles have been found since he found the last one in 2005.
“I think the surveys done from 2013 onwards was after the pine forest had been cleared.”
He said while guesswork was involved, it’s probable no beetles have been found because the forests gone: “The shredding and the mulching would not have left a lot of invertebrates behind.”
While 120ha might sound like a large area it’s still a limited habitat according to Brockerhoff.
“Even if there is a population there, there’s no guarantee they can actually survive there.”
“The decision to convert Eyrewell Forest to pasture has been driven by an economic assessment of profitability, with little consideration of biodiversity values.”
Why can’t we save a beetle?
Insects on private land don’t have much protection. The only exception is if they are listed as protected under the Wildlife Act. Despite being on a DOC list of 150 conservation priority species, the Eyrewell ground beetle is not on the list of protected insects.
A draft policy for indigenous biodiversity has been written which could cover insects in the future, however, there’s disagreement about plantation forests. The Forest Owners’ Association and Federated Farmers want a special exclusion stopping any plantation forest from being classed as being worthy of protection, regardless of what threatened species might live there.
While most don’t think of commercial pine forests as hotbeds of biodiversity they’ve become home to a surprising number of New Zealand’s threatened species. A 2010 article published in the New Zealand Journal of Ecology found 118 species listed as threated live in plantation forests. These include birds such as kiwi and falcons, bats, fish, plants, and invertebrates like the Eyrewell ground beetle.
The article makes special mention of the Eyrewell forest:
“However, this forest, along with several others in this area, is currently being converted to pasture, primarily for dairying. The decision to convert Eyrewell Forest to pasture has been driven by an economic assessment of profitability, with little consideration of biodiversity values. If the conversion is implemented without setting aside adequate areas of suitable habitat for H. brevicula [Eyrewell beetle] (i.e. plantation forest or restored kānuka forest) then this species is likely to become extinct in the near future.”
Brockerhoff’s most optimistic view of the likelihood the beetles’ tenacity might help it survive the dairy conversion is far from inspiring.
“The chances aren’t too good but it’s difficult to say.”

The data, when properly analyzed, using the CDC’s own study protocol, show a strong, statistically significant relationship between the timing of the first MMR vaccine and autism, specifically in African American males. In addition, a relationship also exists in the timing of the MMR vaccine and those individuals who were diagnosed with autism without mental retardation.
These relationships call into question the conclusion of the original Destefano et al. 2004 paper which dismissed a connection between the MMR vaccine and autism.
Re-analysis of CDC Data Suggests Need for Further Investigation on MMR Vaccine and Autism, according to Article in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons
Tucson, Ariz. As early as 2001, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had data showing an increased rate of autism diagnoses in black male schoolchildren in Atlanta who received their first measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccination before 36 months of age, compared with those who received it later, writes Brian Hooker, Ph.D., in the winter issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. The relationship loses its statistical significance if the analysis is restricted to children with a Georgia birth certificate, which decreases the sample size by about 40 percent.
Dr. Hooker reanalyzed the same data set, using the same methodology of conditional logistic regression. Children lacking a Georgia birth certificate were not excluded; race was ascertained from school records. Dr. Hooker noted that school data had this information on all children.
The rate of autism diagnoses has increased alarmingly in the U.S., and is about 25 percent higher in black children, Dr. Hooker observes. Boys are far more likely than girls to receive this diagnosis.
The original publication concerning the data downplayed the association, and no follow-up was conducted. Dr. Hooker’s interest was sparked, he reports, by communication with a CDC whistleblower, a senior scientist, who had retained some of the original analyses.
Dr. Hooker noted that the CDC deviated from its original data analysis plan, possibly because of unwanted results.
By stratifying data for African-American males by birth year, Dr. Hooker also found a statistically significant higher risk of an autism diagnosis in children who had received the first MMR vaccine 1 year earlier, only in children born in 1990 or later. Thimerosal exposure increased in the early 1990s, and it was not removed from most pediatric vaccines until 2001-2004. Dr. Hooker suggests the possibility that there may be some interaction between increased mercury exposure and early MMR vaccination. Further study would be needed to explore this possibility.
Dr. Hooker concludes that failure to follow-up on these observations represents a huge lost opportunity to understand possible reasons for the enormous increase in this devastating neurological disability.

The analysis of trends in the incidence of invasive cervical cancer published in official statistics (registers) was studied in the first and most fully vaccinated countries (Australia, Great Britain, Sweden and Norway). Australia was the first country to organize routine immunization for girls (April 2007 school-based program for females aged 12–13 years, July 2007 time-limited catch-up program targeting females aged 14–26 years) and then for boys (2013). According to the last Australian Institute of Health and Welfare publication (2018 publication describing the detailed rates until 2014) [6], the standardized incidence in the overall population has not decreased since vaccination 7/100000 in 2007 versus 7.4 in 2014.
This global stabilization results from two contradictory trends that only appear by examining trends, according to age groups.
Vaccinated age groups women have seen their risk increase:
100% increase for those aged 15 to 19 (from 0.1 in 2007 to 0.2 in 2014)
113% increase (from 0.7 to 1.5) in groups aged 20 to 24 more than 80% of them were catch up vaccinated when 13 to 17 years old.
But, as the figures are very small, this increase does not reach statistical significance.
About a third increase for 25-29 group (from 5.9 to 8,p=0.06) and for 30-34 (from 9.9 to 12.4 c=0.80 p=0.01) less vaccinated. These increases are statistically significant cannot be due to hazard.
A drama known to one top athlete: Sarah Tait
This increased risk of cancer following vaccination was dramatically illustrated by the sad story of Sarah Tait, olympic rowing champion, at the 2012 London Olympics. This champion saw her life shattered in full glory: she suffered invasive cervical cancer a few years later, being vaccinated and died at age 33. Of course, we don’t know if vaccination was the direct cause of her cancer, but she has, statistically, a one in two chances of having suffered from a cancer linked to vaccination (to be part of the 113% increase of cancer observed after vaccination). In addition, we remark that cancer appears very early in this woman.
Non vaccinated women continue to benefit from screening with pap smear
During the same period, older women (and therefore unvaccinated) saw their cancer risk decrease significantly:
less 17% for women aged 55 to 59 (from 9.7 to 8.1)
less 13% for women aged 60 to 64 ( from 10.3 to 8.9)
less 23% for those aged 75 to 79 (from 11.5 to 8.8)
and even less 31% for those aged 80 to 84 (from 14.5 to 10)
GREAT BRITAIN: THE PARADOXICAL EFFECT OF GARDASIL PROMOTING CANCER
In UK, a national program was introduced in 2008 to offer HPV vaccination routinely to 12–13-year-old and offer catch-up vaccination to girls up to 18 years old. The UK national program initially used the bivalent HPV vaccine (Cervarix), but, changed in 2012 to use the quadrivalent vaccine (Gardasil). HPV vaccination coverage in England has been high with over 80% of 12–13 years old receiving the full course coverage. The catch-up cohort has been lower covered (ranging from 39% to 76%).
Since the vaccination, the standardized incidence in the overall population increased from 9.4 per 100000 in 2007 to 9.6 in 2015. We observe contrasting trends between the age groups.
Vaccination promoters expected cervical cancer rates decrease in women aged 20 to 24 from 2014, as vaccinated adolescents enter their second decade. However, in 2016, national statistics showed a sharp and significant increase in the rate of cervical cancer in this age group. This information of 2016 has unfortunately not been publicized. They could have served as an alert.
Women aged between 20 and 25 years, vaccinated for more than 85% of them, when they were between 14 and 18 years old, have seen their cancer risk increase by 70% in 2 years (from 2.7 in 2012 to 4.6 per 100,000 in 2014 p = 0.0006) and those aged 25 to 30, ( aged between 18 and 23 at the time of the vaccination campaign) have seen their cancer risk increase by 100% between 2007 and 2015 [7] (from 11 / 100,000 to 22 / 100,000 ).
Women 25 to 34 years, (less vaccinated, only exposed to some catch-up vaccinations), have seen their risk increased by 18% (from 17 in 2007 to 20 in 2014).
In Great Britain, as in Australia, older, unvaccinated women have seen their risk decrease:
(-13% for women aged 65 to 79 and -10% for those over 80), most likely because continuation of smear screening.
SAME PARADOXICAL PHENOMENON OF GARDASIL IN SWEDEN: THE RATE OF CANCER INCREASES IN THE VACCINATED AGE GROUPS. ALERT!
In Sweden, Gardasil has been used since 2006. The vaccination program was rolled out in 2010, with vaccination coverage of 12-year-old girls approaching 80%. In 2012-2013, with a catch-up program, almost all girls aged 13 to 18 were vaccinated.
In this country, the standardized incidence of cervical cancer in the global population has increased steadily since vaccination from 9.6 per 100000 in 2006 to 9.7 in 2009, 10.3 in 2012 and 11.49 in 2015 [8]. This increase is mostly due to the increase in the incidence of invasive cancers among women aged 20-24 whose incidence doubled (from 1.86 in 2007 to3.72 in 2015 p<0.001) [9] and in women aged 20 to 29 the incidence of invasive cancer of the cervix increased by 19% (from 6.69 to 8.01)
In contrast, as in Australia and Great Britain, a decrease in the incidence of invasive cancer has been observed in women over 50, a group that has not been included in the vaccination program. The incidence of invasive cancer of the cervix decreased between 2007 and 2015 by 6% for women aged 50 to 59 (from 14.24 to 13.34), and 4% for those aged 60 to 69 (12.63%). at 12.04,) 17% for those aged 70 to 79 (from 15.28 to 12.66) and 12% for those over 80 (from 15.6 to 13.68).
IN NORWAY
Cancer registry shows an increase in the standardized incidence of invasive cancer of the cervix from 11.7 in 2007 to 12.2 in 2009, 13.2 in 2012 and 14. 9 2015 [10].
This increase is due -almost exclusively- to young women, which include all vaccinated, as evidenced by the sharp decline of the average age of onset of the cervix cancer from 48 years in 2002-2006 to 45 years in 2012-2016.
Between 2007 and 2015, the incidence of invasive cervical cancer increased by 8% among women aged 20 to 29 (from 7.78 to 8.47). [11]
During the same period, a decrease in the incidence of invasive cancer was observed in older women, not involved in the vaccination program: -11% for women aged 55 to 64 (15.47 to 13.7), -16% for those aged 65 to 74 (17.7 to 14.71) and -29% for those aged 75 to 85 (18.39 to 13).
IN USA
In this country, vaccination coverage is lower than in previous countries (close to 60%).
According to the Cancer Statistics Review 1975-2015 [12], the standardized incidence of invasive cervical cancer remains stable (+0.1) since vaccination.
In US, the same discrepancy is observed according to age groups, but of lesser amplitude. Women over 50, benefit a 5% decrease in their risk (from 10.37 per 100000 in 2007 to 9.87 in 2015), whereas younger women, which include vaccinated, have given their risk increase of 4% (5.24 in 2007 to 5.47 in 2015).
WITNESS COUNTRY: FRANCE
The evolution of these countries, with high immunization coverage, can be compared to the trend observed in metropolitan France, where HPV vaccination coverage is very low (around 15%). France can be considered, for this reason, as a control country. In France [13] the incidence of cervical cancer has steadily decreased from 15 in 1995 to 7.5 in 2007, 6.7 in 2012 and 6 in 2017, much lower than those of countries with high vaccine coverage.
This decrease in incidence was accompanied by a decrease in mortality from 5 in 1980 to 1.8 in 2012 and 1.7 in 2017.
It is paradoxical and very worrying that these excellent French results, with low cervix cancer rate and low related mortality, could be jeopardized by an obligation considered in the short term by our policies, for some misinformed and other big pharma links [14].
DRAMATIC AND UNEXPECTED PARADOXICAL EFFECT OF GARDASIL: THE ALERT MUST BE GIVEN TO DECISION MAKERS AND THE MEDIA.
In all countries that achieved high HPV vaccination coverage, official cancer registries show an increase in the incidence of invasive cervical cancer.
For women under 20, the crude numbers are too small to reach statistical significance, but the similar increases in all the studied countries constitutes a strong alarm signal.
For women 20-30 the incidence increases after catch up vaccination, and is highly significant (p<0.01or 0.001). In these same countries, during the same period, older women, not vaccinated, have seen their risk of cervical cancer continue to decline.
Similarly, in metropolitan France, a country with low vaccination coverage, the incidence of cervical cancer continues to decline at a rate comparable to the pre-vaccination period.
These paradoxical results plea for a rapid revision of recommendations and intensive research to explain this catastrophic issue.

In the quiet of New Zealand forests, hidden from public view, tens of thousands of animals are dying. Screaming. Squealing. Writhing. Convulsing. Fluttering. Suffering. These animals have been poisoned by helicopter drops of lethal 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison baits.
These poison baits are dropped by New Zealand government to target rats, stoats and possums. But the poisons are indiscriminate, and can cruelly kill any animals who ingest baits or a poisoned carcass.
Animals killed include *wild deer, bleeding from body orifices, organs engorged, blood vessels bursting. *endangered parrots -kea (77% of monitored kea killed at N. Okarito; 40% at Fox Glacier); birds (morepork owls, flightless weka, kaka, falcons…); bees; intertebrates; wild pigs, goats, rabbits, hares, chamois (goat-antelope), tahr, wallabies. And on farms and rural residences, dogs, cats, sheep, cattle, and even horses succumb as bykill of the aerial poisoning war on ‘pests’.
Forest and Bird states “1080 poisoning is a humane way to kill mammalian pests.”
London’s Metropolitan police are stopping citizens who attempt to hide their faces from facial recognition technology at Stratford Station. Police, under siege from advocacy group backlash, put out a statement saying “anyone who declines to be scanned will not necessarily be viewed as suspicious.” But even this statement may not be true.
Campaign group Big Brother Watch says that a man who viewed facial recognition warning signs near the station used a ski mask to hide his face. Police used facial technology cameras while inside a parked police van.
“He simply pulled up the top of his jumper over the bottom of his face, put his head down and walked past,” said director Silkie Carlo.
“There was nothing suspicious about him at all … you have the right to avoid [the cameras], you have the right to cover your face. I think he was exercising his rights.”
Carlo, speaking to the Independent, said that she witnessed plainclothes police follow the man and eventually confront him. According to Carlo, the police demanded the man show his identification. The man turned over his id, but Carlo says the police remained in an “accusatory and aggressive” mode.
“The guy told them to p*** off and then they gave him the £90 public order fine for swearing,” Ms. Carlo added. “He was really angry.”
London Police Claim Facial Recognition Technology Stops Are Judgment Calls
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police says that officers are told to “use their judgment” when citizens hide their face from recognition cameras.
“Officers stopped a man who was seen acting suspiciously in Romford town centre during the deployment of the live facial recognition technology,” a statement said.
“After being stopped the man became aggressive and made threats towards officers. He was issued with a penalty notice for disorder as a result.”
In other words, the man on trial for using the “F word.” The police arrested eight people on the same day by way of this technology. The crimes the people were wanted for varied.
Witnesses claim that people are commonly being pulled over for pulling up hoodies or shirts to cover their faces.
Liberty human rights group say that one man was stopped for “looking like someone” on a government watchlist. The person was misidentified.
London officials will continue to tout their successes, which are those facial recognition efforts that result in the arrest of violent criminals. Unfortunately, the exchange of privacy for more safety and security hardly results in more safety and security. Consequently, citizens will end up under a nanny state that monitors and tracks. That’s already the case in the UK and a result many in the United States hope for.

From 2012 to 2015 Johnson was a school groundskeeper for the Benicia unified school district in California where he regularly applied Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup (glyphosate) to the property. In 2014 he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and claimed that Monsanto knowingly hid the carcinogenic effects of the product from consumers. The defendant’s law firm noted Monsanto’s actions had amounted fraud and malice.
PC emailed me at 6:20 PM Friday, August 10th, the verdict rendered by the jury in the 8-week trial whereby “the jury found unanimously that Monsanto’s glyphosate-based Roundup weed killer caused Mr. Johnson to develop NHL, and that Monsanto failed to warn of this severe health hazard. Importantly, the jury also found that Monsanto acted with malice, oppression or fraud and should be punished for its conduct.” [Source]
After the verdict, analysts estimated that Bayer was facing a potential $800 billion in settlements for thousands of other similar cases pending against Monsanto. Since then, Bayer’s stock has continued to fall significantly.
A google search for ‘lawsuits against Monsanto, or something similar yields rather interesting results, with the top returns being advertisements from law firms or organizations set up to capitalize on the coming tidal wave of profits to be made from suing Bayer.
In this one, the top five results are ads generating leads for law firms, pointing out just how competitive this emerging opportunity is becoming.
Do not feed the Kea the sign above advises. Ironic isn’t it? They’ve been fed 1080 unfortunately by the very corporation which purports to protect them. HOLLYFORD VALLEY, FIORDLAND NATIONAL PARK, DEVASTATING AERIAL 1080 POISON DROP, OCTOBER 2017 – 18 MONTHS LATER, STILL DISASTROUS RESULTS – NO RECOVERY !

Yesterday I visited the Hollyford Valley in Fiordland. What a silent place, apart from the cicadas and the tourist traffic. This road is dangerously busy. One rental car passed me on a double yellow line…this is standard.

A recent survey found this narrow winding road has, on average, 150 buses and 1200 cars on it every day. Knob’s Flat is about to have a $30 million lodge put in by the Milford Development Co, so the influx is going to be even greater.
The toilets are so disgusting that I was told yesterday that some bus tour drivers stop and let their passengers toilet in the forest so they don’t have to deal with the assault on their senses. ( Attached is a photo Shane Wilson took of the toilets at The Divide, on the Hollyford Road, about a year ago. I was going to take a photo myself yesterday but the stench the minute I opened the door truly had me reeling backwards, so I didn’t. )
The 1080 drop in the Lower and Upper Hollyford Valleys in Fiordland, 5-6 October, 2017 has been an unmitigated disaster ! The area had never been 1080 poisoned before.

RATS :
For many years, there has been a volunteer trapping programme in place around Gunn’s Camp on the Hollyford Road. Ninety-eight traps are set along approximately 20 kms of the Hollyford Road, back into the bush a bit, from Marian Corner to Humboldt Creek and for a couple of kilometres beyond the end of the road.
These traps are set approximately 200 metres apart, and they are cleared every three weeks, weather permitting. For years, these traps averaged a total of 6 to 12 rats every three weeks, all up.
After the 1080 drop, the next couple of trap clearances yielded very little. This is what one would expect immediately after an aerial 1080 drop.
Five months later, March 2018, the traps were cleared and contained 32 rats. Interestingly, some of the traps had two rats in them, which is apparently unusual.
The following weekend the tally was 24 rats. That equates to 54 rats in a period of 6 weeks, whereas prior to the drop one could have expected, at the most, 12 to 24 rats to be caught in that time.
Rats had NEVER been caught here in these numbers before !
Things have not improved. The latest trap clearance, February, 2019, yielded 19 rats and 7 stoats !!
( These results come from inside the Dept of Conservation itself, but I doubt that they would have seen the light of day if they were not exposed here ! DoC need to understand that not all their employees agree with their poisoning ways.)

Gunn’s camp in the Hollyford was a Kaka haven. Twenty to forty Kaka were regularly seen there, and as many as fifty were counted on one occasion.
Moreporks ( Ruru ) abounded. One Morepork used to sit behind a generator shed there, and when the generator was turned off every night it then became very vocal. It was a loved ‘character’ of this special place.
All Kaka disappeared after the drop. Eighteen months later up to 3 Kaka have been seen and a Morepork was heard in the distance one night a while ago, according to regulars ( The “generator” Morepork was obviously killed by the poison. ) Fantails are gone.
I guess the DoC poisoners will be back again this year, for their biennial onslaught

More than 40% of insect species could become extinct in the next few decades, according to the “Worldwide decline of the entomofauna: A review of its drivers” report, published in the journal Biological Conservation.
Insect biomass is declining by a staggering 2.5% a year, a rate that indicates widespread extinctions within a century, the report found.
In addition to the 40% at risk of dying out, a third of species are endangered — numbers that could cause the collapse of the planet’s ecosystems with a devastating impact on life on Earth.
The report, co-authored by scientists from the universities of Sydney and Queensland and the China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, looked at dozens of existing reports on insect decline published over the past three decades, and examined the reasons behind the falling numbers to produce the alarming global picture.
Its lead author, Francisco Sanchez-Bayo, of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney, called the study the first truly global examination of the issue.
While the focus in the past has been on the decline in vertebrate animal biodiversity, this study stressed the importance of insect life on interconnected ecosystems and the food chain. Bugs make up around 70% of all animal species.
The repercussions of insect extinction would be “catastrophic to say the least,” according to the report, as insects have been at “the structural and functional base of many of the world’s ecosystems since their rise … almost 400 million years ago.”
Key causes of the decline included “habitat loss and conversion to intensive agriculture and urbanization,” pollution, particularly from pesticides and fertilizers, as well as biological factors, such as “pathogens and introduced species” and climate change.
While large numbers of specialist insects, which fill a specific ecological niche, and general insects were declining, a small group of adaptable insects were seeing their numbers rise — but nowhere near enough to arrest the decline, the report found.

GMO FOOD will soon be marked as “Biofortified” as the agenda to sneak GMOs into our foods advances
If you have ever been to Berlin, Germany in the late Fall, you know how miserably wet, cold, and windy it can be. The only real refuge from those elements is to be found indoors. But even then there can be events that drive you right back outdoors and into the elements. Such was the case with the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU), which was holding its 40th session during the week of November 26-30, 2018, in that city.
As most of you already know, the Codex Alimentarius Commission and its various committees spread throughout the World, establish food standards and guidelines after an eight-step process of consideration and debate that are then usually adopted by the Codex member states. The Codex Nutrition Committee is just one of the many committees that develop these food standards and guidelines. It is also one of the committees with the most controversial issues.
Biofortification ‘Biofortification’ is a method of increasing certain vitamin and mineral content of basic food crops by the time-honored, conventional way of cross-breeding and not through genetic engineering. Harvest Plus, the company behind biofortification, will for example increase the vitamin, or iron content of sweet potatoes, so that malnourished populations in developing nations will receive better nutrition. This is a very admirable goal, although I have argued at these meetings that perhaps it’s an unnecessary one if farmers would simply employ the proper farming techniques to prevent soil depletion and along with it the vitamin and mineral content of the foods grown in that soil.
For the last several years, the Codex Nutrition Committee has been crafting a definition for Biofortification. That definition would then be used uniformly around the World to apply to those foods conventionally fortified with higher levels of nutrients and everyone would be on the same page whenever the term “biofortified” was used. Indeed, the National Health Federation (NHF), a health-freedom organization accredited by Codex to participate in its meetings and the one whose delegation I led there, was an early supporter at Codex of this definition.
We have already gone through the sordid history, in detail, of how the draft definition of Biofortification had been infused with the disease of GMOs. I won’t repeat that history here. Just know that, now, the term Biofortification will have huge ramifications for the entire World. If the pro-GMO forces can succeed in continuing to hide their genetic-engineered foods within the definition of Biofortification and in using its appealing, natural-sounding name to sell their GMO foods, then consumers will be deceived on a worldwide scale.
The term “Biofortification,” at least within European countries, risks consumer confusion as to whether they are purchasing organic products or something else entirely. If Codex were to allow “any method of production” and “any source” to be part of the Biofortification definition, then Codex would be promoting marketing deception of the worst sort. Most consumers want GM foods labelled. In fact, consumer polls across the World have shown this to be true. In the United States alone, some 90% of consumers want such labelling and yet, here, the current, proposed definition will disguise GM foods under the term Biofortification. That is dishonest, disgraceful, and makes a mockery of Codexand its pretensions to credibility and transparency.
With the past and present Chairwomen’s help, the pro-GMO forces have so far been successful in manipulating the biofortification definition. And we are still living in the crater of that explosion that converted something good into something deliberately deceptive.

New Leader, Same Story
So, as the Nutrition Committee was to edit once again the definition of Biofortification at this meeting, it was led by a new Chairwoman, Dr. Anja Brönstrup, a Policy Officer at the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). Replacing Dr. Pia Noble, who had chaired last year’s meeting, Dr. Brönstrup had been the former head of the German Codexdelegation. So, with such experience, we all had high hopes that she would be a more just and equitable chairwoman than the previous one, who had pretty much conducted her Codex meetings as if they were her own private fiefdom and without even a whiff of regard for whether she was following the Codex Procedural Manual.
She was aided greatly in her dictatorial approach by those country delegates who very desperately wanted to be sure that the “Biofortification” definition could serve as cover for GMO foods so that consumers could be tricked into eating them in blissful ignorance. Australia and New Zealand of course, as nearly always, led the pro-GMO pack, egged on by their corporate masters. Brazil, Nigeria, Costa Rica, Uganda, Ghana, Thailand, the Philippines, China, and the United States supported marketing deception as well.
On the other hand, doughty Nepal opposed the definition, calling it, among other things, exactly what it is: marketing deception. Revealing her own biases, the Chairwoman then quickly scrambled to do damage control, dismissing Nepal’s strong comments by claiming that a footnote allowing countries to include GMOs or not would address Nepal’s concerns. That made as much sense as claiming that because only some consumers would be deceived, we could still mislabel foods.
The European Union, Norway, Switzerland, Chile, Argentina, and India all opposed the GMO-inclusive definition, as did Russia, which sensibly stated its main concern was that if each member state could decide whether to include GMO foods within the definition, then this lack of a harmonized approach would lead to market confusion. Unfortunately, the very vocal Bangladesh delegate Dr. S.K. Roy had already left the meeting for the day, or else he would have lambasted the definition as well. All in all, there was significant opposition to the proposed definition.
Yet, Dr. Brönstrup ran the meeting with cool but soulless German efficiency, which in her case meant dispensing with, or else dismissing, the airing of any viewpoints that might in any possible way slow down her sprint to the finish line for each agenda item. With her allotting only 40 minutes for the delegates to discuss the Biofortification definition, this also meant that she did not call upon any of the INGOs that had signalled her that they wanted to speak. Only the sponsoring INGO, the International Food Policy Research Institute, which strangely enough opened the discussion on this topic, was able to speak out on the definition, and at length. Fortunately, NHF had submitted written comments stating its position against the proposed definition.2
“I am referring this definition back to the Codex Committee on Food Labelling,” the Chairwoman suddenly proclaimed at the end of the day, without giving NHF and other consumer organizations any chance to speak. With this peremptory proclamation that the GMO-inclusive definition would be sent to CCFL for its review and approval, I was furious (as were evidently the other ignored INGOs). But I was the only one to storm to the front table and condemn the Chairwoman face-to-face for having not only ignored NHF but the Codex Procedural Manual as well. It was not a pretty exchange. But I did make my point.
“By the time the measles vaccine was patented in 1963 in the US, the mortality rate from measles was about 1 in 500,000.¹ This is less than your risk of death from falling off furniture.² Let’s also consider that over 600,000 people annually die of heart disease in the US, over 500,000 people die from cancer in the US each year and over 250,000 annually die from medical errors alone.³”
So why is the media reporting tiny measles outbreaks as if the sky itself is about to fall? Doesn’t it seem as if everywhere you turn, another outbreak is reported with dire warnings that the unvaccinated are about to bring us an epidemic, the likes of which we’ve never seen? Kind of reminds you of the media frenzy over the Disneyland outbreak in 2014–2015, doesn’t it? That’s when Big Pharma focused their efforts on California and pushed through SB277, a law which removed religious and personal belief exemptions from the mandatory vaccine schedule in order for a child to attend daycare or school - public or private. Perhaps they figured that if they could manage to remove parental health choice in California, it would be a domino effect in the rest of the country.
And just in time for the start of state legislature sessions all over the country, Big Pharma has gotten the media onboard the measles terror train again. Over 70 vaccine related bills have been introduced across the country, and they are pulling out all stops to ensure that as many of their sponsored bills make it through to law.⁴
What’s the big deal, you might ask? Well, the CDC vaccine schedule has become quite a doozy since vaccine manufacturers were released of all liability for injuries or death with the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act in 1986.⁵ Check out the current CDC schedule. 72 doses of vaccines by the time a child turns 18. Not quite the vaccine program of our youth. Children today are given more than 20x the doses of vaccines than my parents got. And it seems Pharma is pushing from all sides to make sure no one can avoid shooting their kids up with an insane number of doses of various cocktails of aluminum, formaldehyde, human DNA, polysorbate 80, and viruses and bacteria grown on diseased tissue.
Misinformation abounds all over mainstream media where Big Pharma owns 70% of the advertising and therefore the narrative.⁶ Take a look at this opinion piece in Newsweek, which by the way, uses a doctored stock image of a healthy baby to look as if it has what the photoshop artist thinks is measles.⁷ It looks more like hives, but whatever. These days, accuracy is not the paramount concern for any major news outlet doing Pharma’s bidding.
This Newsweek piece is one of the most egregious and absurd pieces of Big Pharma propaganda I’ve seen yet. It distorts and misrepresents the history and dangers of the disease, the motivations of parents who choose to avoid or delay the vaccine, and it makes blatant false statements about the risks of the MMR vaccine itself. So let’s dissect it a bit to illustrate my point:
The piece states that, “According to the World Health Organization, 110,000 people die every year, mostly children under the age of five. Prior to the vaccine, the U.S. also experienced the horror of measles. The CDC reports that in the 1910s, about 6,000 Americans died annually from the infection.”
This is what we call truth wrapped in a distortion. First of all, the measles world-wide mortality stats are almost all the 3rd world and developing nations.⁸ The US did experience “the horror of measles” mortality rates, but the article’s use of “prior to the vaccine” is intended to give the false impression that the measles mortality rates “of about 6,000 Americans” were diminished by the vaccine, when in fact, the death rate had fallen to 364 deaths associated with measles the year the vaccine was introduced – 50 years after “6,000 Americans were dying annually from the infection.”⁹ To put this in perspective, twice as many people die annually from falling off furniture.¹⁰
As Dr. Suzanne Humphries and Roman Bystrianyk have detailed in their data packed book, “Dissolving Illusions: Disease, Vaccines and the Forgotten History,” child labor laws, sanitation, hygiene and improved standard of living and overall nutrition diminished the mortal threat of measles in the developed world – long before the vaccine even came on the scene.¹¹
Another excerpt from the Newsweek piece is, “Another fear, that there are ‘too many’ vaccines, is also false. When your child crawls around on the floor licking his hands, he is exposed to far more antigens than those found in all vaccines combined.”
This is designed to misinform the public about parents’ concerns about vaccines and to present vaccines as no different than natural pathogens your child may be exposed to in his or her environment. This could not be further from the truth. Vaccines are injected into the body – bypassing the normal routes of entry our immune systems are designed for – and the vaccines contain such combinations of substances and toxins like aluminum adjuvants, formaldehyde, human DNA, mercury, Polysorbate 80, and the live or attenuated bacteria or viruses which have been grown on animal organs.
Some vaccines contain more aluminum than can be considered safe for an adult male,¹² and the aluminum adjuvant artificially stimulates the developing baby’s immune system to respond opposite the way nature intended. Dr. Suzanne Humphries explains this in detail on her website, but essentially, while an infant’s immune cells have full functional capacity, they are clamped down by design during the first two years of life––in order that they learn self from non-self and also become able to differentiate between healthy, beneficial micro-organisms and those which should later be attacked.¹³ Perhaps this derailing of the child’s developing immune system is contributing to our society’s huge increase in auto-immune disorders––in which a person’s body begins to attack itself––as the vaccine schedule has also increased. It may also be contributing to the alarming incidence of autism during the same time period.¹⁴
And these concerns are not just theoretical. Vaccine injury and death is more common than widely believed, and parents who have witnessed their child descend into autism¹⁵ or develop Type 1 diabetes,¹⁶ leukemia,¹⁷ bleeding disorders,¹⁸asthma, and eczema¹⁹ following the MMR have become very cautious about the vaccine. It is estimated that only around 5% of vaccine adverse events are ever reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System––as most people and many health care professionals are unaware of its existence–– but in 2016 alone, 59,117 vaccine adverse effects, 432 vaccine deaths, 1091 permanent disabilities, 4,132 vaccine hospitalizations and 10,234 vaccine emergency room visits were reported.²⁰
And a recent study of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated children raised more concerns that vaccination is linked to chronic illness:²¹
Neil Z. Miller has collected a remarkable number of studies in his thoroughly referenced “Miller’s Review of Critical Vaccine Studies.” His book is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in looking into these concerns and examines most of the studies referenced below – in addition to many others which suggest that natural measles infection actually protects against degenerative diseases, skin diseases, immunoreactive diseases, asthma, allergies and certain tumors. It also looks at studies which show that measles infection in childhood may protect against childhood leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, genital cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, ear-nose-and throat cancers, ovarian cancer, heart attacks and strokes during adulthood.²²
This Newsweek piece accuses parents of spreading a “malicious lie” and “purposeful misinformation.” Ascribing malice to concerned and well-researched parents is not only absurd, but deliberately inflammatory and is clearly intended to villainize parents who thoughtfully and understandably question or don’t participate in the conventional vaccine program.
The piece also writes with confidence that, “Vaccines do not cause autism. This theory, which was spawned by a fraudulent get-rich scheme in the 1990s, has been shown repeatedly to be without any merit.”
This is simply untrue. And absurd. Dr. Andrew Wakefield, along with other scientists and doctors, conducted a study which found a link between children’s digestive and developmental issues soon after being administered the MMR vaccine. They concluded that a link with the MMR had not been proven, but that further study was warranted. That this could be described as a “get rich scheme” is laughable, and it has not “been shown repeatedly to be without any merit.”²³
This attempt at marginalizing and diminishing perfectly reasonable concerns expressed by doctors, scientists and parents, as well as vilifying anyone who questions the wisdom of the current vaccine program is not only unwarranted and unjustified, it is also remarkably stupid and unscientific. The only people profiting from such an approach are those making money from a market projected to be worth $50.42 billion by 2023.
The idea that we know everything there is to know about the immune system and the consequences of an ever increasing vaccine schedule is one few would actually agree with. Let’s bear this in mind as we move forward on this issue, and let’s learn how to spot the propaganda when we see it. Only then will true scientific method prevail.
