WHY would Awatarariki residents trust Whakatane District Council to pay a fair price for their homes, if they are forced to move from the fanhead in Matata?

It is a question Awatarariki Residents’ Association chairman Rick Whalley has been asking over and over, after the district council pulled out of negotiating a memorandum of understanding.

The memorandum would have allowed for an independent engineer to assess the risk of living on the fanhead, a request by the association.

In a letter from Brookfield lawyers, partner Andrew Green said the changes to the draft memorandum were not acceptable to the council and they were not prepared to enter the memorandum.

“Secondly, the council is extremely disappointed by the actions of Mr and Mrs Whalley and others, whether in personal capacities or as members-officers of the association… After the meeting, district council staff were assaulted and verbally abused by a resident of the fanhead and were threatened with future physical harm.”

Mr Green said the good faith obligations outlined in the draft memorandum had not been honoured by the association.

Mr Whalley, who lives on the fanhead with his wife, Rachel, and mother, Pam, said it had been almost 14 years since a debris flow tore through the area, damaging some of the houses.

He said during those years, their trust of the district council had waned, and the memorandum was a tool to address that.

“Firstly, they told us that we could rebuild, and then they took that away. Then they told us that they could mitigate, and they took that away. Remember the 90 percent thing? They told us they would have 90 percent agreement to sell and they took away that.

“And now they have taken away the memorandum of understanding… The mayor and deputy mayor have both said that they do not have to buy our properties, so if they get what they want we know that they are going to pull those things.”

Amazon, having acknowledged that it was a program error, has hurried to make corrections to Alexa’s program. Now replying to the same question on chemtrails, the digital assistant hits back:

“Chemtrails refer to trails of condensation, or contrails, left by jet engine exhaust when they come into contact with cold air at high altitudes.”

Only weeks before he was murdered by a police task force, acting on a delayed warrant issued on 9/11. They pretended and dressed as decoy ‘rowdy teenagers’, partying on a small hill right by his lone property, to lure him out of his house. Once he realized they were cops and knew what they were doing, he got back in his truck and drove back toward his driveway (Cooper by then was an older man, with one fake leg, and this was close enough to his lone property on a hill that it was clearly bothersome and loud) after he tried to get back to his house, a gunfight ensued between himself and the cops. What other explanation is there for a comment in Truth About Gardasil’s latest press release which stated: A medical source close to TAG (Truth about Gardasil) has stated: “I find it disturbing that Merck’s agreement with the FDA is based on an agreement that no adverse events will be labeled as such unless there is a TWO fold increase seen of diseases that occur at least as frequently as 1/10,000. This takes away all of the rare autoimmune demyelinating syndromes that cause blindness, paralysis and death.” ?  Maybe they are lying? Nope. I managed to obtain documentation as to the whats and why’s and I’m satisfied that the comment is an accurate report.

Truth About Gardasil also mentioned that since that particular press release, Merck has repeatedly be crawling all over their website like infuriated bees to honey in a famine.

Interesting, isn’t it, that MERCK would have such an agreement with FDA.  Sounds to me like a game of “we pretend to chase you, and you pretend to follow the rules.”  Which in turn, reminds me of the Italian MOB’s relationship with Italian Police.

Interesting too that FDA would set up a meeting with TAG, and there would be silence ever since. One wonders though, what is going on behind the scenes, because the Gardasil bubble just might explode some time soon. Is the silence from FDA and Merck, yet another attempt to come out with another 10 retrospective studies to murky the waters, and placate the masses?

It was interesting that Dr Michael Tatley from CARM would so blithely state in North and South’s rabidly provaccine monologue in June, words to the effect that vaccines couldn’t possible cause the problems that the anti vaccine lobby said, because CARM never saw evidence of it.

So long as doctors continue to deny reactions ever happen, and refuse to report them, you won’t see them, unless parents report them. Many parents are scared to report reactions, because of what their doctors will say. I have quite a few Gardasil reactions which have as yet, not been reported to you, because the parents are not in any space to do so. In terms of the medical profession, no they won’t “see” them, for two reasons. First, they are blind, and if you deny something is happening, you can’t treat it, and if you actually look at it, and see it, you would realise that the medical profession has nothing to treat any of the current Gardasil reactions with anyway. Unless you count in a swathe of girls who’ve never had seizures before, being put on seizure medication any time after the first Gardasil injection.

When are CARM and the MOH going to get real about accurate data collection, huh?!!! Oh, silly me. I forgot. If you don’t have the data, then you can truthfully say that your data shows there are no problems.

Things are not right on NZ’s District Council front as yet another Councillor cites bullying & quits

The quitting Councillor who cites bullying as his reason for departure is from the South Wairarapa District Council. Bullying was also reported in the Horowhenua by a now ex Councillor Mrs Anne Hunt. (Read here also on that). Another Clr spoke out about being told how to vote (& I’ve heard two other occasions/councils elsewhere that that happens that I can’t cite names for).  For your perusal here are a few more:

Obviously all is not well on the District Council fronts these days. (Not if you value honesty, transparency and due process that is). She throws a whole lot of light on what’s really going on … she wrote that after seeing the debacle that happened at NZ’s Kaipara/Mangawhai and their escalating rates. Also see the Local Govt Watch pages for more info on that. Rodney’s another interesting one where a gentleman lost his house & business for speaking up about council corruption. And of course our own Horowhenua where the new deputy Mayor’s post was very short lived & they also steadily refuse to open the books. Much like Auckland at present witness Penny Bright’s battle over that one. And so it just keeps coming. You need to watch this one especially as your rates continue to escalate exponentially, while your CEs sit on obscenely bloated salaries (Horowhenua $250K, some districts are over half a mill, Ak is $690K) and under their highly paid (incompetent?) watch your council debts climb through the roof. Seventy odd million Horowhenua’s was two years ago (some said $100 mill) and nobody in Council blinks an eye aside from the whistle blowers who do see something wrong with it. A South Wairarapa councillor has resigned, citing “no confidence” in the mayor and district council’s chief executive.

Dayle Harwood emailed South Wairarapa Mayor Viv Napier and his former fellow councillors yesterday with the news.

Mrs Napier has accepted his resignation and plans to be in touch with Local Government New Zealand today to begin the process of finding a replacement via a by-election.

Mr Harwood told the Times-Age he was sick and tired of the “pettiness” and “elements of bullying” that went on behind the scenes.

He was elected onto South Wairarapa District Council (SWDC) for the Featherston ward in 2016.

He said there needed to be a change of attitude, and South Wairarapa needed a clear, new vision going forward.

“It’s time the council be led properly, and South Wairarapa deserves that. They voted against amalgamation, so they think this is a better model. The council needs to prove it, and they’re not doing that.”

He said he was also fed up with SWDC chief executive Paul Crimp not taking responsibility for issues that he was accountable for.

“I personally have no confidence in the mayor and CEO and I wish them all the best.”

Mr Crimp said Mr Harwood’s comments would be taken on board.

“As with any situation like this, we’ll look at the messages coming out and see what improvements, if any, need to be made.”

Mr Harwood said he “wasn’t getting any back up” from other councillors, and that SWDC did not appreciate his outspokenness.

“I felt it was just me up against the whole council.”

Closing on the note of council debts. Here is the Horowhenua Councillor Ross Campbell who was ousted from his new role as Deputy Mayor shortly after being appointed by the newly elected mayor who is of the same persuasion (prefers clean water, transparency, paying down debt not inflating it etc etc). The main reason cited at Cr Campbell’s ousting being speaking out about matters considered in-house or words to that effect on the modus operandi of the Economic Development Cttee (now Board where non elected members are privy to inside business / council info). After receiving an apology from OSPRI Operations Extension apparatchik, Jennifer Lawn, for saying they had found a Tb-infected ferret in the Timaru Creek 1080 drop zone in 2015-16 when in fact they HADN’T, and with that little creature being part of the justification for the aerial 1080 drop to kill possums, despite no possum monitoring having been done…. ( yes John Cleese would have had fun with this little lot ! )…Alan Galletly has sent Ms Lawn another letter. Because we will probably have to wait the standard 21 working days to receive this obviously terribly overworked poisoner’s reply, I am posting it up here now, along with the apology about the ferret.

As you can see from their printed material the justification for the 1080 drop is ” Tb ferrets ( note plural ) and pigs have recently been detected on the south eastern side”. ‘Recently’ means over two years ago, no Tb infected ferrets have been found in the drop zone, and the pig story is dubious ( see Alan’s letter ). The population of the target animal, the possum, has not been ascertained by OSPRI, who say they only have funds for post-drop monitoring, not pre-drop monitoring.

Thank you for the update regarding the infected ferret.

You state that the correct information was used for planning of this aerial operation yet your printed material available to the public clearly states a TB infected ferret was taken from Timaru Creek.

This was also stated by OSPRI staff at the Hawea Information afternoon.

Clearly this leaves the question , What is the correct scientific information OSPRI have planned this aerial operation on? Is it based solely on the assumption the feral pigs were living in Timaru Creek ?

The assumption these pigs were infected by possum carcases solely from Timaru Creek? The assumption that there is a large population of TB infected possums in Timaru Creek?

All these assumptions aren’t enough evidence to plan an aerial poison drop on surely without solid scientific evidence to back them?

Could you please confirm the infected pigs actually came from the planned drop zone.

It has come to my attention that these pigs were shot in the vicinity of Stodys Hut which I believe is on the edge of the drop zone.

As this hut is near the ridge line there is no certainty that the pigs were in fact living in the Timaru Creek catchment but may have crossed the ridge line from Lake Hawea Station country.

The timing of when these pigs were shot also suggests this as at that time of year feral pigs prefer warmer , dryer country.

It would be unlikely for them to frequent the shady side or lower country in this catchment at this time of year.

It is clear OSPRI is assuming these feral pigs were living in Timaru Creek when in fact they may not have been correct.

Smart Meters are not compulsory in NZ. I hear folk saying they’ve been harrassed here also, just persistently contacted and told they have to have one. They are being bluffed (unless they included it in the fine print of their contract) … don’t fall for it. I know of one elderly gentleman in a wheelchair who directed his powerco not to install one, and they did anyway. He demanded they remove it and he thought they had but they hadn’t. This is only the second time ever that Auckland Council have applied for a forced Rating Sale against a freehold property.

In my opinion, I am being unfairly persecuted and prosecuted as an ‘Anti-corruption whistle-blower’, for my persistent and consistent efforts to help get full transparency and accountability in the spending of public monies on private sector consultants and contractors.

The amount I owe in outstanding rates, (excluding legal fees and penalties) is $20,000.

* The name of the consultant /contractor.

* A brief description of the scope of the contract.

* Contract start and finish dates.

* The exact dollar value of each and every contract, including those sub-contracted.

* How the contract was awarded, by direct appointment or public tender.

Since 2007, I have disputed and refused to pay first Auckland City Council, then Auckland Council rates, because of the lack of transparency in Council spending on private sector consultants and contractors – their continuing failure to fully comply with the NZ Public Records Act 2005, section 17:

(1) Every public office and local authority must create and maintain full and accurate records of its affairs, in accordance with normal, prudent business practice, including the records of any matter that is contracted out to an independent contractor.

Back in 2010, while I was disputing and refusing to pay Auckland City Council rates, I received a ‘Good Citizen’s Award from the Auckland City Council Eden/Albert Community Board, for fighting to help stop water privatisation and for more transparency in Council contracting.

However, under Auckland Council, my ‘reward’ (not that I choose to do this for ‘reward’) – is to force the sale of my freehold home?

I’ve now attended seven International Anti-Corruption Conferences, and was last year invited to, and attended the 2017 World Justice Project International Rule of Law Forum at The Hague, so I have developed a good understanding of the corruption risks in contracting out public services to private sector consultants and contractors, and I have offered to help Auckland Council and CCOs to finish the job and fully and accurately ‘open the books’.

New Zealand is ‘perceived’ to be ‘the least corrupt country in the world’, according to the 2017 Transparency International ‘Corruption Perception Index’, so arguably we should be the most transparent. But we don’t know exactly where billion$ of dollars are now being spent on the contracting out of so many Council services that used to be provided ‘in house’ by directly employed staff under the ‘public service’ not commercialised/ privatised model.

Funds raised will go towards the $20,000 in outstanding Auckland Council rates to be paid once ‘the books are open’. In any event monies collected for outstanding Auckland Council Rates, will be paid by the 20th April 2019 – it will be held in escrow till this time. In the meantime I will continue to work with Auckland Council and CCOs to help ensure the above mentioned details of awarded contracts are available for public scrutiny.

Expressway past Levin a high stakes game

The land and property development agenda of Horowhenua District Council and council’s in-house economic development board would implode if the New Zealand Transport Agency decides not to proceed with the expressway past Levin demonstrating just how high the stakes are.

Otaki electorate MP Nathan Guy, a National Party MP, brought along National Party leader Simon Bridges and new transport minister Jami-Lee Ross to the second Levin public meeting Mr Guy has held in the last six weeks pushing for the expressway to proceed. Mr Bridges was the transport minister under the former National led Government.

The motivations of Mr Guy, in particular, are questionable in light of council’s role in land and property development which is entirely based on a November 2015 New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (NZIER) report commissioned by the council and the board called, “Investment in transport infrastructure: Effects on economic and demographic outlook.”

A July 6, 2016 council agenda states, “The assessment determined that the Wellington National Corridor investment represents a ‘free hit’ to Horowhenua, and creates an opportunity for the district to target population growth, employment, and economic activity levels significantly higher than both otherwise and previously expected.”

Council’s chief executive David Clapperton and economic development manager Shanon Grainger have repeatedly used forcasted growth statistics included in the NZIER report as a justification for rolling out an explosion in the number of land and development projects across the district.

Without the economic justification’s provided for in the NZIER report difficult questions would be asked of council about its close and secretive relationship with the economic development board, whose members have multimillion dollar interests in land and development and construction industries.

Council draft and consultation documents that rely on the expressway proceeding include council’s 20 year Long Term Plan, the Horowhenua growth strategy 2040 and the yet-to-be released Levin Town Centre Plan.

According to the Quotable Values database Mr Guy also has a significant amount of land and property interests in the north east sector of Levin at Koputaroa, one of the preferred expressway routes, which equates to at least $6 million over eight separate lots. The sale date of two further purchases he made in this sector is withheld from the Quotable Value database so have not been included.

If the expressway does proceed this means Mr Guy could potentially financially benefit from the expressway either through the sale of land confiscated under the Public Works Act or land and property development projects on land he owns next to the expressway route.

The decision made by NZTA could be a game changer for Horowhenua with residents facing unsustainable rates rises due to land and property development and associated negative environmental effects from an explosion in new builds connecting to an essential infrastructure council’s LTP states is ageing and end of life.

According to council’s 20 year draft and consultation documents there are no plans by council to consult the community on an economic development strategy moving into the future even though the public were not consulted on the now expired 2014-2017 economic development strategy that continues to be applied by the council.

Last year Environment Canterbury (aka ECan) issued consents to two water bottling companies that allow them to bottle over 24 million litres per day of precious Canterbury aquifer water from bores in Belfast, North Christchurch.  

The consents are based on historical permits for the Silver Fern Farms works and the Kaputone Wool Scour. Those industries used only a tiny fraction of the consented water ‘take’ but the bottling companies will be using every last drop. 

The aquifer is fully allocated and ECan doesn’t understand the potential effects of the increased extraction on artesian pressures and water quality; on freshwater ecosystems; on neighbouring bores; or on the community water supply, because there have been no assessments.  Despite this they’ve bent over backwards to find a process that will enable the bottling to go ahead without public consultation.  We’ll be challenging the legality of that process.

At the time of writing this nearly 90,000 people had signed Genevieve Robinson’s petition calling for the  consent to be revoked. 

However, construction is going ahead and a new bore has been drilled.

We don’t want NZ to stop at protest when we can use the law to protect our water.  We have an opinion from a top Queen’s Counsel that we have a strong case and we’re ready to bring legal proceedings to overturn the Belfast bottling consents.  But we need your help…

Humans will be genetically modified for the first time in Europe after regulators have given the go ahead to trial DNA-splicing therapy.

A destructive blood disorder known as beta thalassaemia, which reduces the production of haemoglobin, could be cured using this therapy.

Haemoglobin carries the oxygen the body needs to its cells and without sufficient amounts those with the disease can be left with bone deformities, anaemia, slow growth, fatigue and shortness of breath.

Scientists at the biotech company Crispr hope that they can alter the body’s code to stop the genetic mutation and restore healthy levels of haemoglobin.

The disease is the first to be treated using this method in Europe and experts have said that the trials hold promise.

Similar trials have taken place in China however they do not have the same restrictive regulations as Europe or the U.S.

Monsanto’s latest marketing ploy: Labeling GMOs as “biofortified”

GMOs have been getting a bad name for quite some time now, and it’s hardly surprising given the near-constant stream of evidence showing the harms caused by genetically engineered crops and the pesticides used on them. As people increasingly make an effort to avoid buying these products, Monsanto has come up with a new idea to trick people into forking over their hard-earned money for its health-destroying products.

The Waking Times reports that Monsanto is trying to manipulate the definitions used on food labels in such a way that GMOs could be labeled as “biofortified foods.”

Codex Alimentarius is a collection of codes and guidelines created by the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization to standardize world food trade and its production and safety. Codex was mulling a proposal to allow a company to use the term “biofortified” on vegetables that use conventional cross-breeding to increase the content of certain nutrients to help give malnourished populations a nutrition boost.

Monsanto sensed an opportunity here and set out to exploit it. They used their influence to try to convince delegates to have the definition of “biofortified” broadened to include foods that have been genetically modified. The National Health Federation (NHF), which is the only natural health advocate with a seat at Codex, reports that many of the delegates saw right through Monsanto’s attempt to pull the wool over consumers’ eyes, and the move was even denounced during the meeting. Nevertheless, the topic will be debated when the group convenes in Berlin this November under a new chairperson.

NHF President Scott Tips said: “It is a very sad state of affairs where we have come to the point where we must manipulate our natural foods to provide better nutrition all because we have engaged in very poor agricultural practices that have seen a 50% decline in the vitamins and minerals in our foods over the last 50 years. We will not remedy poor nutrition by engaging in deceptive marketing practices and sleight of hand with this definition.”

(Natural News) By now, you are aware that President Trump ordered a “precision strike” against Syria’s so-called “chemical weapon sites” run by Assad. The strike was deployed in response to an utterly false, absurd narrative that claims Assad gassed children with chemical weapons.

Beware of any news about an event that reportedly involves the deaths of children. In nearly every major false flag event — from the USA to the Middle East — children are used as props to generate “emotional terrorism” outrage as a form of social manipulation in order to achieve a political purpose. This doesn’t mean real children didn’t die, by the way. As I’ve explained numerous times, a “false flag” event involves real deaths wrapped around a fake narrative. Real children died in Syria, just as they did in the Oklahoma City bombing. But the official stories we’re told about why those children died are complete hogwash.

Remember when we were told that David Koresh burned his entire family alive?

We’ve seen this countless times in recent history, including going all the way back to the federal government’s murderous assault on the David Koresh compound in Waco, Texas, in 1993. The assault was nothing less than a murderous rampage by rogue government agents who murdered women and children in cold blood, yet the “official” story was that David Koresh set fire to his own buildings and murdered his entire family by burning them alive. (Seriously. That’s what the media still wants you to believe.)

The explanation that Assad gassed his own citizen children with chemical weapons is similarly absurd. You’d have to be a complete stooge to believe it. In an article entitled, “Ten Days Before The End Of The World,” written on April 12th, Paul Craig Roberts writes:

The criminally insane governments of the US, UK, and France are sending a flotilla of missile ships, submarines, and an aircraft carrier to attack Syria in the face of Russian warnings. What is the likely outcome of this outrageous act of aggression based entirely on an orchestrated and transparent lie, an act of reckless aggression that is more irresponsible and more dangerous than anything done by the demonized Nazi regime in Germany?
