January 29, 2002NELSON — A British filmmaker’s criticism of 1080 poison use in New Zealand has alarmed government departments.
Terry Brownbill, making a documentary to be screened in Europe, says the real story behind our use of 1080 is “a sinister tale of corruption and bureaucratic indifference”.
The Department of Conservation (DOC) says his allegations of public lies and alleged corruption are unfounded.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, worried about the documentary’s impact on meat- export markets, says concerns expressed by Brownbill about the possibility of 1080 residue entering food are invalid.
Last May Brownbill led a two- man film crew on a three-week tour of New Zealand, talking to opponents and supporters of aerial 1080 use. The resulting documentary is still being edited.
Brownbill says DOC and the Animal Health Board (AHB) were “empires built on poison” and British viewers of his documentary would be horrified by the poisoning of New Zealand “in the name of the Queen”.
Brownbill’s documentary was commissioned by Britain’s Sky TV.
Brownbill said the programme made it very clear New Zealand’s pure image was a sham.
“When the world gets to know the full horror of how New Zealand is carpet bombing millions of acres of farmland and native forest, there will be a backlash which could seriously affect agricultural exports and tourism,” he said.
“Both DOC and the AHB are empires built on poison.
“New Zealand seems far more concerned about losing its clean-green image than it does about protecting its people.”
Animal Health Board communications manager Nick Hancox said the board was more interested in achieving its aim of reducing TB in New Zealand than “empire building”. —NZPA

After finding it difficult to get help, from what they believe is 1080 poisoning, the owners of an iconic tourist business based on the west coast of the South Island have established a free-call number – 0800 BAN 1080 (0800 226 1080) – for people to share their experiences after aerial 1080 operations.
The concern about 1080 poisoning is not a new phenomenon. While filming on the West Coast in 2002, a British film crew led by Terry Brownbill, stated New Zealand’s use of 1080 poison “was a sinister tale of corruption and bureaucratic indifference.”
Brownbill claimed to have found a “hot spot” of 9 people suffering with brain tumours, living around the small town of Kumara, on the West Coast. He went on to say that he believed the tumours were a result of an incident in which he said five tonnes of 1080 bait was buried near a stream in the area, and that no Medical Officer of Health went on to investigate this “hot-spot.”
However, the Agriculture Minister at the time, Jim Sutton, said the “1080 documentary maker should put up or shut up,” and disputed the British journalist’s claims, inferring that “the risk of 1080 residues entering the food supply is very low.”
History shows that Mr Brownbill’s claims do have credibility. Hundreds of farm animals – including sheep, dry stock, cows, horses, and deer – have been poisoned in aerial operations across the country, since the British film crew left New Zealand. It would seem improbable that all of these animals had received a lethal dose, without any of their surviving paddock companions, not receiving sub-lethal doses. (Only about one animal is tested for 1080 residues in every 2 months, and is randomly chosen from anywhere in New Zealand. So the chances of actually striking an animal from where a drop has taken place within a few days of testing, is consequently, very low.)
There are plenty of cases of farm animal deaths following aerial poisoning operations, from Northland to Southland.
In one case, it was reported in the Wairarapa Times Age that 9 dairy cows were poisoned by 1080.
The processing plant spokesperson stated that “at the end of the day if contamination is suspected we’d like to hear about it”. The milk from the cows was subsequently processed into milk powder before the farmer had warned the processing plant that his cows had been poisoned.
In the documentary Poisoning Paradise, Taupo (Western Bays) farmer Lance Aldridge states that his neighbor had over 150 sheep poisoned in one operation, and that in other drops he has had deer and cattle poisoned, with test results showing 1080 residues in carcasses as much as 12 months after the poisoning operation took place. He states that he believes the animals were either poisoned by the 1080 remaining in the fields where the animals were grazing, or from streams feeding the farm, following another drop over 5 kilometres away.
The creators of the free-call number believe there is mis-trust and fear among communities, of not being taken seriously when contacting the authorities, especially when those they are encouraged to engage with are the very departments dropping the poisons.
In 2008 midwives from Karamea, also on the West Coast, warned several pregnant ladies to leave the district while an aerial 1080 drop was being conducted. The response to their warnings from authorities was astonishing and swift. The mid-wives were humiliated publicly. Not surprisingly, another drop is planned for the Karamea region this year.
In December 2008, the Ministry of Health published a statement including the following paragraphs:
“Studies show that 1080 can cause foetal skeletal malformation, cardiomyopathy/damage to heart muscle, and testicular effects/reduction in sperm count in animals.”
“To date, there are no known epidemiological studies that have been carried out in relation to 1080 and potential adverse health effects on humans.”
It’s not just health concerns that the 0800 number is setup for.
Many people, all across New Zealand have had their pets and live stock poisoned. “We’d like to hear from them too,” stated the 0800 free-call trust’s spokesperson.
The inconvenience and investigations that follow placing a complaint, discourage victims.To make a claim, and have that claim registered, and officially recorded, is a long and complex process. Hence the recent claim by the PCE that only 8 dogs have died from 1080 poison in the last 4 years. This is inaccurate.
One Taupo farmer alone has had 8 of his working dogs die after poisoning operations around the farm he manages. The killings are endless, right across our country.
Do the people of New Zealand have reason to be concerned? Yes they do.
Should the people of New Zealand rely on government departments, government organisations and industry supporters to provide them with robust research, and consumer confidence – when the pest control company that imports 1080 poison and produces the 1080 bait, is owned by our government, and when the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Agriculture represent 50% shareholdings in the company that imports the poison? No, they shouldn’t!

If you believe you’ve been poisoned, you’ve had stock poisoned, your water-supply poisoned, or your pet poisoned – even if it’s historical – please call and let us know. It’s free, it’s independent, and it’s confidential. It’s time to start a credible record of the impact of poisoning operations.” Said Clyde Graf.

This documentary explores the role of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in driving peasant farmers off their land to expand the Karziranga National Park in Assam India. A lengthy investigation has documented that WWF is arming and training park rangers to expel local peasants (without compensation) for land their families have farmed for generations.
Many are arbitrarily shot and killed (without due process) as alleged poachers. Some victims are merely tortured and released.
WWF, which has arbitrarily identified Third World overpopulation as the major cause of mass species extinction, also runs (with the support of Johnson and Johnson* and USAID**) Indian family planning and sterilization clinics. When the Dutch filmmakers attempt to interview villagers served by the WWF family planning program, they are detained and turned back by police.

So… geoengineering is not conspiracy like Nick Smith said at one stage in Parliament ridiculing us all as conspiracy theorists (you can see him laughing in this video below … go to 4:49 mins). Then we have Amy-Adams outright admitting that geoengineering is in fact a scientific practice but ‘the NZ Government is not doing it’.
So which one is it then?
They can’t have it both ways.
The public need to wake up to the lies we are spun constantly. Now we in fact have the authorities telling us that they are considering employing geoengineering (as Amy-Adams alludes to) to combat climate change which we all now know is a big fat ruse anyway. And then, as those of us with our eyes wide open know, they’ve already been doing this for a very long time as this well documented time line will show you…. whilst calling us, yes, conspiracy theorists.

Human Microchips To Be Forced on Society? Sociology Professor Noelle Chesley paints a disturbing image, claiming that Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) chips will be mandatory for everyone at some point in the future. It may eventually become standard practice to insert a chip into an infant along with the first vaccination.
Already there are many concerns regarding the safety and possible downsides of using these chips. Some fear they will be used by the government or even by unwanted people to spy on one as they will be GPS active and a person’s movements can be monitored. Some believe as these chips could be used to make purchases that financial security is an issue. Other concerns include that private information might be compromised, infections (bacterial and of the computer variety) might occur and that people may already be tagged with these devices without their knowledge or consent. More extreme concerns include the religious notion that these chips are straight from revelation and could be considered “Mark of the Beast” or are part of the theory that the Illuminati, the secret body that governs the population, is using these chips to keep an eye on people and maintain control.
Whatever the downside, it does not negate the upside in the form of convenience towards having these chips installed. They can open doors, pay for things, unlock and start your car, give parents information about their children’s whereabouts, and send helpful medical data to healthcare professionals. This can prove useful in emergency situations when immediate care is required or in diagnosing a condition. Speaking for the positive side of these devices, Cybernetics Professor Mark Gasson points out that human beings are already in the position of using devices such as their phones and computers as a necessity a chip is the next step. He believes those who do not get one will be at a “disadvantage.”

“Hamilton City Council has recruited a team of five to combat begging in the suburbs.
The one-year trial, set to cost $230,000, is an extension of the City Safe service and will target nuisance and anti-social behaviour.

A Volkswagen commercial has been banned in the UK for violating “gender stereotypes” because it showed a woman caring for a baby.
Yes, really.
The ad shows a scene of a woman and a man in a tent on a cliff face, two male astronauts floating in a spaceship and a male para-athlete with a prosthetic leg doing the long jump.
At the end of the clip, a woman is seen sat on a bench next to a pram.
The commercial was banned by the UK Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) after just three people complained, with the ASA asserting that it violated gender stereotyping rules.

Sadly this is what has happened on more than one occasion in (not) clean green New Zealand. A warning about 1080 poison a Class 1A Ecotoxin that unbelievably NZ authorities claim is not very dangerous: our authorities do not practice the precautionary principle with the spreading of 1080 poison. In fact they are now legally allowed to drop it into your waterways without the previously required consents, even though the manufacturer’s warning says take care not to drop it into the waterways. Whilst they continue to claim it is harmless, there is much independent research that says otherwise. (See 1080science for further independent info). In light of that, in my opinion it is safer to follow the precautionary principle, that is, proceed as if there were a possible risk to your health rather than assume there is none. Since 1080 is a known teratogen I believe it is particularly important for pregnant mothers or even those who think they may be or who could be pregnant, to distance themselves from an area where 1080 is being distributed, particularly aerially because of the drift of the dust over long distances.
So if you are out tramping, visiting from overseas or just an unaware local, you’d be wise to take your own drinking water (don’t use the streams, taps etc) and check very carefully with DoC when making plans to be sure there will be no drop in your vicinity. The signage it appears, is not always there to warn you. (See further notes & info below the Stuff article). EWR

A couple are angry and upset that a holiday weekend tramp through a Pelorus Sound track ended with them being “dusted” with 1080 bait.
Kaiuma Bay couple Simon and Carol Caley have written an open letter of complaint to the minister of conservation, and are also seeking an apology for his department’s “complete and utter failure to protect the public” after pellets were dropped near them from a helicopter on Saturday.
Health and conservation authorities are investigating how toxic 1080 bait was spilled on to the track.
The Nelson Marlborough Public Health Service (PHS) is investigating a breach of a condition under which a Department of Conservation (DOC) 1080 drop was permitted in Pelorus Sound over the weekend.

In preparing to make this film, filmmakers reviewed the 27 volumes of confidential evidence collected by the French investigating magistrate. They focus on 10 specific anomalies in the French verdict blaming driver Henri Paul (who also died in the crash) for the accident because he was drunk.

GCSB Minister Andrew Little has cautioned Huawei against “heavying the government” with threats to exit New Zealand.
The Chinese telecom giant last month sent a letter to ministers, including Mr Little,warning it could be forced to pull outof the country if it was blocked from working on 5G upgrades.
The missive – which was leaked to NZME – said such an approach would have “a significant effect” on Huawei’s revenue and create a “real risk” causing the company to leave the New Zealand market.
The Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) last year rejected a proposal from Spark to partner with Huawei to deliver 5G, citing security concerns; Spark is still deciding whether to reapply.

Early on in its development they noted it kills birds, cattle, tadpoles & insects.
California fire fighters have an exemption from 5G because of dangers to their health.
A new weapon they have developed that is stronger than 5G was tested on Special Forces & caused them to drop to their knees.
A Professor of Medicine has said nature has no defense against 5G.
5G will affect our eyes … cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and kidney problems.
Another Professor has said 5G on lamp posts will cause insect Armageddon because they hover around lamp posts. They won’t survive.
5G has to be compliant because it has to be linked as it has been in other countries, to all radar systems, wi-fi, smart meters, hospital equipment … the internet of things… all have to be compatible. So not just getting 5G but all the other Gs and wi-fi.
The calculations for 5G are time averaged… the data is around a 100x greater than 4G.
The roll out already started in Vienna, the unsuspecting people immediately suffered from nosebleeds, cardiac problems, chest pains, fatigue, dizziness, vomiting in fact all of the symptoms of microwave sickness that Barrie Trower has known since 1932.
The USSR experimented on humans and animals with 5G in 1977, 1972 and 1997. A proper military experiment. The humans suffered metabolic problems, ie everything started to fall apart, blood problems, immune system dysfunction, severe medical and neurological problems. With animals, since they were able to dissect them, they found the bone marrow was suffering (which produces the immune system), respiration damaged, enzyme activity damaged, nuclear dna damaged, and the total exposure time was only 15 hours over 60 days. Roughly 15 minutes a day and the levels were not high. Not as high as you are going to get in a classroom.
So it has been used as a weapon, and it has been tested experimentally on animals and humans. So yes it is definitely going to make you ill.
Has to have megahertz frequencies to comply with other transmitters & receivers. Also in other countries it has to have the low gigahertz frequencies.
In some countries you have as many as 22 different frequencies when it’s fully functional because it has to comply with all of the other things. It will be added to wi-fi 2,3,4G, smart meters. Its compliance with smart meters is actually quite frightening because each smart meter has to have two transmitters. One low frequency to go into the house & talk to the fridge and the telly etc and one to reach the main transmitter. Each house may have up to 15 appliances. Each small group of houses, goes from 500-5000 houses, in a mesh. When look at the maths… like a little group of tower blocks on a big estate, you can have as many as 5000 smart meters, two transmitters for each smart meters, so you have ten thousand smart meters in a small area transmitting. Each of them (15 per house) so in one reasonably sized council estate can have up to 150,000 transmitters. They are producing the 5G wave forms and wi-fi, 2.4 gigs which is a known weapons frequency. It is known in the military & published, Stanford Institute Research California, did their own experiments and said the two most dangerous frequencies for living cellular structures which is all of nature, trees, animals, insects, humans, is the wi-fi frequency and .95 gigs … a Doctor with 22 years experience in WHO cancer dept. has said that all of this will cause cancer. No question.
5 Gigahertz isn’t 5G, it is a telecom signal frequency. Shows the deceit of these people. It is capable of spying, on every device in your home.
5G has already been here for many years. Rolled out in Gateshead in 2011 & 12. Mark didn’t know until Sept 2016 when LED … the architecture, the equipment 5G’s been attached to is LED streetlights. They’re also part of a weapons system … post modulated, terahertz range lights can be extremely hazardous. The blue phospha coating … professor John O’Hagan has stated these lights are a risk, a risk to biology, a risk to children, a risk to eye sight etc. This is Public Health England. You have American Medical Assn stating the same, Anzi (?) stating the same, and Shia (?) the emerging risk team in Europe stating that flicker, post modulation on these LED street lights is risky. Ask yourself, why are your local authorities at speed, rushing this technology out on top of you when there’s already been identified a double increase in prostrate cancer from the exposure to these blue light systems, phospha coated blue light systems, so what’s going on? These councils are totally disregarding this. Regulatory bodies we pay to protect are still rolling them out. They’re on the motorways. Children are being born today that by the time they’re 25 they won’t be able to see. That’s because the exposure to this type of radiation, non ionized radiation, the secretary of state has a duty of care he’s totally ignoring. The plan is to make sure these people are seen in a court of law to bring them to justice.

Director-General of the Dept of Conservation, Lou Sanson, would have the public believe that his staff are under enormous threat – from anti-1080 activists in particular – and in May’s Budget the department received an $11 million boost in funding for security:

What Sanson is not taking into account is the effect this scare-mongering is having on his own staff. I have received a report that the family of one female DoC worker is relieved when she arrives home at night unmolested. I am sure this is not an isolated case. He should be ashamed of himself, using this unfounded propaganda to terrify his workers and drum up support for his poisoning regime.

NO to 1080 Use in NZ post on August 9:
*Ongoing lies from New Zealand’s Dept of Conservation, but our peaceful protests continue.
We have reported in the past year or so about the increasing claims in the media from people like Lou Sanson, Director-General of the DoC and Nicola Toki, DoC’s ‘Threatened Species Ambassador’ that ‘anti-1080 activists are dangerously out of control’, ‘have gone feral’ and even ‘ are repeatedly making death threats to DoC staff’.
On 31st August 2018, we exposed the truth about these lies. We reported the response to an Official Information Act to the New Zealand Police, which asked ‘exactly HOW MANY threats of violence towards DoC staff had been recorded from so-called ‘anti-1080 activists in the past 2 years?’ and perhaps more importantly, ‘how many of these were being upheld?’
The answer, back then, was six. Between March 2016 and March 2018 there were a total of only six reports of threats to NZ Police, of which, ZERO were being progressed to prosecution.
From March up to October 2018, how many MORE threats to DoC were reported to the Police? After all, there was (according to TVNZ in Sept, 2018) a “sharp rise in threats to DoC staff”. Numerous media articles attempted to alarm the public about the ‘dangers’ of ‘anti-1080 activists’. The commencement of a costly contract with the private security firm, Thompson and Clark (April 2018) added to the perceived seriousness of the situation. Journalists like Tom O’Connor wrote opinion pieces with headlines like ‘ Anti-1080 protesters’ threats to human life inexcusable’. But where is the evidence that should support these claims?
OIA responses confirmed that between March to October 2018 there had been THREE so-called threats reported to Police. The same, on average, as the previous two years. Reported incidents included a threatening phone call, and a note left on a DoC vehicle.
We now have an updated OIA response from NZ Police, informing us of how many further reports they have received since October 2018, to the 8th August 2019. Nearly one whole year has passed. How many reports of so-called threats to DoC from anti-1080 activists?

To be clear, there has recently been one well-publicised single prosecution. As far as Admin of the page are aware, the man, Gregory Buchanan, was unknown and unconnected to any persons or groups associated with the long-standing, peaceful protests against the use of aerial poisons in New Zealand. Mr Buchanan’s motives were unclear, but the media reported: “A man has been sentenced to five years in prison after sending threatening letters to Department of Conservation (DOC) staff over 1080 poison.[…]. In a statement, DOC’s Director General Lou Sanson says he hopes this sentence will serve as a deterrent for others. Mr Sanson says anti-social behaviour and threats against DOC staff have grown over the past year from people who oppose predator control using 1080 to protect our indigenous forests and wildlife. The threats have moved beyond social media trolling to the targeting of vehicles, property and people. Staff and contractors have been followed, filmed, assaulted and threatened.” (1NewsNow. 7 June 2019).
But where is Mr Sanson’s evidence for these claims? Who is it that needs a ‘deterrent’? As we’ve reported here previously, even DoCs own records do not support these claims. The claims of threats are utterly false. This begs questions such as: Why are DoC so obsessed with this fantasy of trying to be seen as a victim? And, perhaps more importantly, WHY have DoC recently been allocated millions of extra dollars of taxpayers funds to ‘protect themselves’ against this self-invented danger?
This Fake News must end and our New Zealand Media must be held to account for constantly adding to this dangerous propaganda.

A NZ Herald article tells us we have 34,500 homes being built for folk in Pukekohe & Drury over the next 30 years. From what I am seeing it looks like typical Agenda 21/30 pack and stack housing, packing you into the A21 Smart Cities (see also the NZ page). To learn more about those watch the video below where in the US the plan is a bit further along. In it you will see that some will be ready wired to the smart grid. (A brief update at 1/6/20 I was told recently of a new house, part of new state house rebuilds … where the house will not function apart from wifi … in the event of a power outage the tenant will not be able to exit their garage). With 5G (further video at link) this all makes sense. These corporates have deprived New Zealanders of a great proportion of our once state-owned asset, State housing, bulldozing them still as we speak. Key sold off some 21% of our state housing I heard recently, see the article on the land banking that went on in Tamaki and elsewhere under his watch. And so with the real estate under them gone for a song to the property developers via their public private partnerships (listen to Joan Veon at the link, see this NZ link also), the homeless, victims of our manufactured housing crisis are currently sleeping in cars, garages, sheds you name it, while the current NZ corporation parading as a government prepares for you the compact city living apartments that superficially may look great but be aware they have a different agenda in mind. Watch the video of one of NZ’s developers who was all but gifted the Horowhenua pensioner housing with property thrown in courtesy of the local council. He was speaking in a NZ Herald interview on one of his high rise housing developments on Auckland’s waterfront. In it he speaks about garages under the apartments. The apartments are safe he said because they have 24/7 surveillance, his words, and when questioned about car spaces he replied ‘people are not ready yet to be car less’ so garages are included at this stage. All looks pretty benign but be aware they envision you will be on bicycles and out of cars (notice all the cycle ways … they’re not really about your health folks). They of course will remain in their cars, same as they remain in their private jets to attend those scam climate conventions or their G7 summits in top class locations. They only pay lip service to the great ideas they are foisting upon you, it is you who won’t be.
