the money goes from one pocket to the other. one crook to the worse one….the state! how does that make the victims any better? it doesn’t make them whole, less sick. a penalty that goes in the coffers of the government . one thief padding the pockets of another!
So what good is it and why do people cheer it.? it doesn’t help anyone except lawyers, the state and the corporations as they make deals with the state. nothing good comes out of it. not for the people that were harmed. as you say not even an apology.
