“… Planned Parenthood’s sex education strategy as “very similar to how pedophiles prepare children for them to have sex with them. You start to break down their natural inhibitions.”
Planned Parenthood’s perversions and new tactics to target children seem to never end. I’m certain that the new laws in Alabama have enraged the abortion giant. So, the powers that be decided to target young children with smutty, inappropriate sexual advice, using an AI phone app called “Roo.”
They claim that Roo is for children 13 – 17 years old, but the reality of it is that any child with a cell phone (most elementary students now have them) can download “Roo” to their phones.
What does Roo talk about?
Roo will discuss anything about sex with your children. Children are told by the chatbot that sexual activity is perfectly fine at any age. They stress to the users that there is NO judging on Roo. Roo teaches about “masturbation” and what they term as “reproductive health” AKA Abortion.
More miracles here from the corporates: this time it isn’t DoC … getting really hard to believe anything they say these days isn’t it? …
IS HONEY GIANT “COMVITA” TELLING THE TRUTH?
By Carol Sawyer
On September 21, 2018, Benita Martin sent a question to Comvita:
“Please advise what tests for 1080 are undertaken on your honey? I’m worried about the bees that were found on the 1080 poisoned cows and your hives are closest to the location.”
“Comvita uses Analytica Laboratories to undertake Sodium monofluoroacetate (1080) testing. Analytica are an IANZ accredited laboratory who perform a wide variety of bee product testing on behalf of the Apiculture industry.
Comvita undertook 1080 testing on a range of honey samples which were taken from honey harvested between September 2017 – March 2018 including honey from 1080 drop zones. No traces of 1080 were detected in any samples which is inline with all scientific literature which suggests the risk of contamination to bees and their products appeared to be negligible.
‘Low risk’ is a category we assign to this residue in our testing schedule, and best reflects where no verified evidence of cross contamination is known to occur. This is consistent with research we have seen elsewhere which indicated 1080 is not attractive to bees and poses no threat.”
What happened between March 2018 and June 2018? Did Analytica lose their testing equipment?! Is Comvita telling the truth?

“Today’s Green New Dealers and their allies have mapped out their own totalitarian strategies.”
“They want to control what we say and think, even what ideas and information we can find online and in print, television, radio and social media.”

‘Battles over “dangerous manmade climate change,” Green New Deals and Green New Deals Lite are intensifying,’ writes Paul Driessen. ‘To help drive the climate chaos narrative – and many other liberal campaigns – Google, Facebook and other social media and online information platforms have stepped up their efforts to “shadow ban” climate realist and conservative speakers and thinking, censor and alter online information, and marginalize ideas that run afoul of liberal views and agendas.’

A Cold War-era concrete “coffin” brimming with atomic waste is leaking radioactive material into the Pacific Ocean, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned. The dome was built to contain the nuclear waste that was created when the U.S. and France conducted atomic tests in the Pacific between 1946 and 1958. “The Pacific was victimized in the past as we all know,” said Guterres, according to AFP. The structure is on the Enewetak Atoll in the Marshall Islands; Guterres described the dome as “a kind of coffin” designed to contain nuclear material. Thousands of indigenous island people were evacuated or exposed to radioactive fallout when the U.S. carried out dozens of nuclear weapons tests in the area. The bombs tested included the 1954 Bravo hydrogen bomb, which was 1,000 times stronger than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
The Facts:Dr. Bob Sears, a paediatrician, in an interview with Del Bigtree shares some facts about measles as well as the measles vaccine that the mainstream media is completely ignoring.
Reflect On:Why is fear constantly used to push vaccination? Why does the mainstream never address nor counter the points made by vaccine awareness advocates and simply labels them as “anti-vax conspiracy theorists?”
A few quick facts that I’ve covered in numerous articles. Firstly, there is clear evidence that shows measles outbreaks have occurred in highly vaccinated populations throughout history. For example, during the measles outbreak in California in 2015, a large number of suspected cases occurred in recent vaccinees. Of the 194 measles virus sequences obtained in the United States in 2015, 73 were identified as vaccine sequences.
The media generated high public anxiety. This fear mongering led to the demonization of unvaccinated children, who were perceived as…
In 2020, Japan is inviting athletes from around the world to take part in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are hoping for the games to be fair and peaceful. At the same time, we are worried about plans to host baseball and softball competitions in Fukushima City, just 50 km away from the ruins of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant. It was here, in 2011, that multiple nuclear meltdowns took place, spreading radioactivity across Japan and the Pacific Ocean – a catastrophe comparable only to the nuclear meltdown of Chernobyl.
The ecological and social consequences of this catastrophe can be seen everywhere in the country: whole families uprooted from their ancestral homes, deserted evacuation zones, hundreds of thousands of bags of irradiated soil dumped all over the country, contaminated forests, rivers and lakes. Normality has not returned to Japan. The reactors continue to be a radiation hazard…
The mothers test everyday items including rice, vacuum cleaner dust, seafood, moss and soil for radiation
May 12, 2019 Inside a laboratory in Fukushima, Japan, the whirr of sophisticated equipment clicks, beeps and buzzes as women in lab coats move from station to station.
They are testing everything — rice, vacuum cleaner dust, seafood, moss and soil — for toxic levels of radiation.
But these lab workers are not typical scientists.
They are ordinary mums who have built an extraordinary clinic.
“Our purpose is to protect children’s health and future,” says lab director Kaori Suzuki.
In March 2011, nuclear reactors catastrophically melted down at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, following an earthquake and tsunami.
Driven by a desperate need to keep their children safe, a group of mothers began testing food and water in the prefecture. The women, who had no scientific background, built the lab from the ground up, learning…
May 13, 2019 was not a very lucky day for Bayer Pharmaceuticals, the company that purchased Monsanto while also inheriting a backlog of lawsuits. The latest adjudications handed down by the court granting U.S.$1 BILLION in punitive damages to Alberta Pilliod and Alva Pilliod, each respectively, may include several unanticipated “collateral damage” consequences, the first of which could be Bayer’s demise. Hint: Think corporate karma.

Imagine a world where food routinely gets shipped thousands of miles away to be processed, then shipped back to be sold right where it started. Imagine cows from Mexico being fed corn imported from the United States, then being exported to the United States for butchering, and the resulting meat being shipped back to Mexico, one last time, to be sold. Imagine a world in which, in most years since 2005, China has somehow managed to import more goods from itself than from the USA, one of its largest trading partners.
This may sound like the premise of some darkly comic, faintly dystopian film – albeit one geared towards policy wonks. But it’s no joke – in fact, it is the daily reality of the global economy.
The above examples are all instances of ‘re-importation’ – that is, countries shipping their own goods overseas only…
The UK ‘smart’ meter roll-out fiasco rumbles on in its usual amateurish fashion. Pretending it has something to do with the climate is just window dressing.
Energy customers are under pressure to install smart meters, but many just don’t function properly, says BBC News.
There are government adverts on TV suggesting they are a small but important step to tackling climate change.
Meanwhile, companies are calling customers to ask them to switch, or telling them that the best deals are only available with a smart meter.
That’s what happened to Bryde Town, from Halifax. She says she wasn’t bothered about getting a smart meter. But after a number of calls and letters from her energy company, she agreed.
Things haven’t worked out well. “My smart meter loses connection, the weather seems to affect it, and it beeps all the time and the only way…

At least six US States are trying to prohibit parents from citing religious or personal beliefs to avoid vaccinating their children.
State legislatures in New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, Minnesota and Iowa are all looking at bills that would only allow exemptions from vaccinations for medical reasons determined by the child’s doctor.
RT reports: Faced with a health scare in the form of measles, a highly contagious and easily transmitted respiratory infection, lawmakers have been in a hurry to pass laws that would limit or outlaw any exemptions from vaccination that are not rooted in medical reasons.
On Monday, a bill aimed at ending non-medical exemptions passed the Oregon House after weeks of fierce debate. The bill will now have to go through the Senate before it can be signed into law. Oregon has not been at the center of the outbreak, with only 14 reported cases as of…

That these are ever allowed in a school yard at all is a crime of gigantic proportions in my opinion, and let alone 5G! If 5G is so safe, ask yourself, why is it being deployed in SECRET? Sprint has shut down a 5G cell phone tower amid an outpouring of concerns over recent cancer cases. Ripon elementary school parents have long suspected that the tower is responsible for several cancer cases in students and staff. Ripon Unified School District confirmed that the tower is now turned off. Sprint will now look to relocate that 5G tower. Last March, many of these same parents accused the school district of accepting kickbacks in exchange for supporting 5G towers near the school.
All in all, three teachers and four students have been battling various cancers since 2016. Two preschool-age children have been diagnosed with a malignant tumor and leukemia. Another family claims that their 22-year-old son who attended the school had a brain tumor surgically removed.
“I think it is admirable,” Monica Ferrulli, a Ripon parent who has long fought Sprint’s 5G tower, said to the Modesto Bee. “I was actually very hopeful at first but after going to school district meetings I had lost a lot of hope. We have eliminated one factor that could cause the students to be unsafe.”

The city of Syracuse, New York is embroiled in a fight over whether or not to allow Verizon to install 5G wireless networks throughout the city. Some city officials are citing 5G health risks as a cause for concern, while others believe that 5G will put their city in a position of technological progression.
The Syracuse Common Council is currently debating Verizon’s potential 5G license approval. If approved, Verizon would install 5G networks on urban streetlights. In Rhode Island, telecommunication companies have quietly installed 5G networks on streetlights.
Verizon’s regulatory manager, Mark Coon, is fighting the notion that 5G is a risk to public health.
“Wireless technology for wireless communications transmits radio frequency signals over the airwaves, no different than your garage door opener, or a baby monitor or a Wi-Fi router in your home,” Coon said via wrvo. “5G is no different than 4G, is no different than any of the generations of wireless services, as far as that radio frequency transmission.”
If you die from poison it’s your own fault and we, the Crown are not liable …
Well that is what it seems to say, to me.
“Disclaimer :

Note: So there it is people, your government has just told you that if you eat any meat from animals hunted off their 1080’d land, they are not liable. They can now poison your water with 1080 with impunity, no resource consent required. It’s a lot like the escape from culpability that vaccine manufacturers enjoy with no liability for damages. I see a pattern emerging here.
If you are new to NZ’s 1080 poisoning program here is a good article to start with …
A must watch also is Poisoning Paradise, the doco made by the GrafBoys (banned from screening on NZ TV, yet a 4x international award winner). Their website is tv-wild.com. “The worst thing was they pointed a rifle at my 12-year-old daughter who was picking up horse poo. They told her to put the fork down and walk towards them. She is still anxious and shaken. The whole family is.”
Why is it necessary, in the quest for seizing guns from adults to ‘protect the public’ (so we are told) to terrorize young children? How is that conducive to protecting the public, the rationale that is being given for this sudden strange turn of events? Do these Police persons not have children themselves? Are they not trained to realize the trauma that this behaviour will embed in a child’s memory …. for life? This is the stuff of movies & it’s happening right here in New Zealand. It is not new however. This same behaviour occurred in 2007 when the Tuhoe people in Te Urewera (who are no strangers to illegal Police raids) were raided & similarly, armed offenders boarded a school bus, terrorizing little children.
Armed Police at a road block in the 2007 Te Urewera raid on the Tuhoe peopl
They also detained a family with little ones, one of them a four year old, in their family garage with no food, water or toilet for NINE hours. To update yourself on that one, watch ‘Operation 8’ on Youtube. If you listen to the first minute of the video you will hear a 12 year old child describing what happened:
I saw all these people in black, and this man had a dog and it was right behind me and, just saw all these lights and, these guns, and it was really scary. All of us had to get down on our knees and put our hands on our heads. They asked for my name, did I know anything about terrorist things, or if I’ve been in trouble with the Police … I just started crying, and crying and … my nan tried to come over to me and asked me if I was okay, and then the Policeman behind us said ‘Shut up, don’t talk to her’ and moved closer towards me and pointed the gun down at my head. Oct 15 2007
Those children would not sleep in their bedrooms for three months after this event, they were so afraid. They all slept together in their lounge. Shame on the NZ Police. Protecting the public? Really? When you see images of these armed offenders (see image above) they are enough to strike terror into the heart of an adult let alone a child. It all really beggars belief. Was this all a warm up for today’s scenarios?
Do read the article below, it’s from mainstream’s Stuff even (which surely tells you something). Pontificate on what has happened to your country Kiwis. The article describes a similar raid on another person.
Police seize gun collector’s firearms in ‘over the top’ raid
stuff.co.nz
A community-minded contractor who dug the mass grave for victims of the mosque shootings for free says police went “way over the top” in raiding his house to seize his 11 firearms.
The colourful figure – who asked not to be named for security reasons but whose record of helping out people in the community and raising money is known to have endeared him to many – said about 30 police raided his west Christchurch block on April 2 about 5pm while he was still at work.
Some were Armed Offenders Squad members and others were in ordinary police uniform. A specialist search squad searched his house, outbuildings and a granny flat housing his 80-year-old mother.

“They even went through her underwear drawer. The worst thing was they pointed a rifle at my 12-year-old daughter who was picking up horse poo. They told her to put the fork down and walk towards them. She is still anxious and shaken. The whole family is.”
Police then rang him at work. He arranged to stand in the middle of the yard and asked the police to leave their guns in their vehicles.
“They still pointed their guns at me and made me walk towards them with my hands up. I got to them and said, “put that away before you hurt yourself”.”
He is now waiting for an explanation. He does not believe police were acting on a tip that he was dangerous. Police refused to comment, citing privacy – despite the man providing a privacy waiver.
“Unfortunately for privacy reasons we can’t respond to requests which seek to confirm whether specific individuals have made complaints to police, or if police have attended a specific address,” a police spokesperson said.
ROBYN EDIE/STUFF
Some of the officers were from the Armed Offenders Squad, while others were in ordinary police uniform.
The man said: “I’ve seen them raid the Headhunters with less firepower than they raided us. It was just out of this world. Way over the top.”
He accepts police might have wanted a chat with him because after the mosque shootings, he had bought an AR15 rifle, from Gun City. The mosque shooter used an AR15 class rifle and they are now banned under new arms legislation.
A rush of gun sales was reported in the aftermath of the March 15 mosque shooting after it was announced gun laws would change. The AR15 is amongst the most popular as a semi-automatic sporting rifle often used for deer, goat and pig hunting, as well as competitive target shooting.
“But all they needed to do was ring me and say we are coming around for a chat. If I was really up to no good I would have bought a firearm off the internet. Everyone knows that.”
The contractor said he had had a firearms licence since 1982 and had been shooting as a sport since he was 12.
He collected firearms and had two other AR15 rifles before the shooting.
When he bought the firearm, he thought he would be able to keep the gun under a grandfather arrangement where those who owned the guns before the law change would be allowed to keep them.
“It would have told a story.”
His confidence in the police had gone down to about zero, he said.
All his guns were confiscated in the raid and he is now trying to get them back.
“This didn’t need to happen. I’m not a criminal. They could have made a few other checks and seen I was not a risk.
He had two assault convictions from 35 years ago and had been out of trouble since, he said.
An Ashburton farm manager, who also declined to be named, told Stuffhe was also angry about the way he was treated by the police.
He was in his garage searching through his deep freezer shortly after eating lunch on Thursday when his wife told him there were some police officers coming up the drive.
“There were about three armed police that came out from the back of my section, and three more units pulled up at the driveway.”
Of the 14 police officers, eight were “heavily armed”.
The officers wanted to speak to him about the terror attacks, his views on police, Muslims and other religions. He was then asked if anyone was home.
“I said ‘no, my kids are at school’. Then they sent a team in to clear the house like in the movies, going into each room guns pointed clearing the house.”
The man said the officers told him the hour-long visit was initiated in part because he purchased an A-category AR15 from Gun City a day after the March 15 terror attack. His gun, which was being held in a secure safe, was seized, along with some other items including a scope and ammunition.
He told Stuff he travelled from Ashburton to Christchurch after the attack to buy the gun because he had always wanted one. His wife was planning on buying him one for his birthday in June, and was worried they would become harder to buy.
“It was probably the wrong decision but I thought if I don’t get one now I may miss the opportunity.”
He said he was not racist or anti-Islamic.
“I said so I’m not a fan but I understand there are good people out there, there are good Muslims. I’m not a fan of the religion but I’m not going to go out and kill people.”
He said the number of police officers was over the top and believed a call or visit from a local police officer would have been enough.
“I can’t understand why they needed that many armed police to come in here to ask me my views on this and then seize my gun.”
Whanganui is the scene of health concerns regarding 1080 that were raised by the late Dr Peter Scanlon over a decade ago and which have never been fully investigated by the authorities. He said in a submission in 2010:
Given the “scientific ignorance” of those who proclaim human safety when doing aerial drops near water supplies in the West Coast, Whanganui, Coromandel, Levin, Hutt Valley and other regions of New Zealand and the real lack of safety data, especially for NZ’s most vulnerable human populations, our unborn, young and old and those with chronic illnesses, one really must question whether it is ethical to use such a poorly studied chemical from a human health risk perspective. The native flora & fauna are replaceable. TB ridden cows are replaceable but the future health of our children & our most vulnerable is not.
“I nga wa o mua” − The past informs the present. ” Foresight should be sought as hindsight is dearly bought”

Thanks to Stewart Shand for the video
Environmentalists who protested recently against the slathering of the Class 1A Ecotoxin 1080 all over our once pristine environment (contaminating/poisoning our food, air & water) are not going away any time soon.
More than 200 gathered in Whanganui recently (1/5/19) to make known their concern for the welfare of both people and the environment. As you’ll see below in Carol Sawyer’s article, poison is big business and it’s expanding & set to be privatized.
Firstly though, Whanganui is a location of concern that the late Dr Peter Scanlon brought to the attention of NZ authorities regarding a cluster of health concerns following an aerial 1080 drop …
“A concerned Maori woman contacted me and presented to the Waitangi Tribunal evidence for the Whanganui Inquiry last year her concerns that 1080 may have been implicated in causing a cluster of miscarriages, stillbirths and congenital malformations to the children of pregnant Maori women following aerial drops and raised the question of bowel cancer in some adult Maori being possibly linked to environmental 1080 exposures through contaminated food and water sources. The current scientific gaps which the ERMA 2007 reassessment failed to address and assumptions based on out−dated or poorly studied science for human risk considerations cannot exclude the possibility of 1080 having such adverse health effects in Whanganui or other NZ rural communities The current medical system cannot easily investigate such concerns.”
Read more about Dr Scanlon’s concerns at this link:
Most importantly, as he says in the video clip in that article:
“Where are the cancer causing or carcinogenicity studies? … there aren’t any;
Where are the reproductive studies, particularly focusing on female eggs? … there aren’t any;
Where are the developmental studies, early exposure to brain, immune system? … there aren’t any;
Where are the long term chronic exposure studies looking at mitochondrial DNA content and mutation rates? there aren’t any.
There’s a lot of doubts about this substance, it’s dangerous.”
As far as I know there has yet been no investigation into Dr Scanlon’s concerns. We need to be asking ourselves, ‘why not?’ We need to be asking our authorities, why not? Why are they not sharing the same concerns this good Doctor voiced about the health of NZ citizens? About vulnerable pregnant women’s exposure to 1080 when it’s clear there have been NO LONG TERM STUDIES PROVING ITS SAFETY for them & their unborn?
In addition, as retired Doctor Charlie Baycroft has told us over and over, 1080 kills people, and if you die from 1080 poisoning, nobody will know because the authorities are bullying his profession not to test for it. Take note and peruse our Suspected Poisoning page.
Finally, Carol Sawyer’s article below outlines the history of 1080 suppliers in NZ & elsewhere
PROTEST OUTSIDE ORILLION (1080 BAIT FACTORY) IN WHANGANUI, 1st MAY, MAYDAY, 2019
By Carol Sawyer
Animal Control Products Ltd, Whanganui, trading as Orillion, is the state-owned enterprise (SOE) that manufactures 1080 baits for New Zealand.
Until mid-2018 this was the only place that manufactured 1080 baits in New Zealand. Now the NZ government is set to privatise everything, which is even worse news !
Mid-2018, Pest Control Research Ltd (PCR Ltd) in Rolleston near Christchurch, was given consent to manufacture 1080 baits. The first baits it produced were used to poison the Hope and Cascade River catchments in South Westland in August, 2018.
Now the Dept of Conservation’s “Battering the Birds” programme is using 50% baits from PCR Ltd and 50% from Orillion.
In March, 2019, ANOTHER factory, Invasive Pest Control / Connovation Ltd in Auckland, was granted consent to manufacture 1080 baits.
‘The developers, a couple from Scotland and Malaysia who live in Singapore, reportedly acquired property in Arrowtown in 2015 after an 18-month process through the Overseas Investment Office. The felling of non-native willow trees and installation of the boardwalk is reportedly to improve their views.”
QLDC gave their approval as well.
Iwi , LINZ, ORC and Fish and Game were also consulted as so-called “affected” parties, but no-one else was… what did they agree to?!

The mayor of Los Angeles, a city with a burgeoning homeless population, wants to “help” by painting murals of those who don’t have permanent homes. Only in Los Angeles could an idea so ridiculous be hailed as a means to “tackle” the homeless crisis gripping our nation.
Eric Garcetti, the mayor of LA, outlined his new plan to tackle the region’s skyrocketing homeless population this week. Garcetti said we must now “recognize our common humanity” with murals “highlighting” his city’s escalating housing crisis. The nation’s second largest city has an estimated 50,000 people living on the streets as rising rents and increased crime threaten to make the crisis worse in the coming months.
A new study by US Food and Drug Administration scientists has found a link to some of the newer diabetes drugs to a “flesh-eating” genital disease.
The FDA announced that SGLT2 inhibitors are linked to a rare but life-threatening bacterial infection.
The infection can spread rapidly killing skin tissue as it grows
RT reports: Symptoms of the disease known as ‘Fournier gangrene’ include pain, redness and a foul odor in the genital area. Alarmingly, the infection starts by attacking your genital or anal region, but can also spread rapidly and kill other body tissue along the way.
The rare infection concerns people taking a newer class of diabetes medications known as SGLT2 inhibitors, according to FDA scientists who recently published their findings on the issue.
The drugs were introduced to the market in March 2013 and, as of January 2019, have been linked to 55 people with Fournier gangrene, all…

Poison Drop Outrages Forestry Workers
A group of forestry workers were upset earlier this month after a helicopter dropped 1080 poison baits in the Waimarino Forest where they were eating their lunch.
The drop, by Taupo company Epro Ltd, was intended to stay at least 100m from the three gangs working in the forest.
The men’s boss, Ray Flavell, said the helicopter may have been in the wrong place.
None of the baits touched the workers.
However Epro operations director Ian Roberts said if they had touched or even eaten one of the baits it would not have harmed them.
“There’s only 800g of poison per tonne of bait. I weigh 75kg and I would have to eat 20 to 22 baits in order to have a 50 percent chance of being killed.”
The baits were made from carrot pieces of approximately 7g each, dyed green. One or two of them was enough to kill a possum.
Forestry worker Terrence Mcleod said he and two others were eating their lunch in a clearing about 5km from the Pipiriki Rd at about 12.30pm on October 1 when a helicopter flew across about 150m overhead. One of the men, John Ratima, took photos of it.
The men had been told the aerial operation was happening, but Mr Mcleod said they didn’t know when.
“It was quite shocking. We were disappointed that they didn’t have any thought for us.” Mr Flavell said he had told the men the operation was happening that day.
The group kept working until 4pm and then knocked off and had a good wash. They wondered if they should also have a medical check for any ill effects from the poison.
Mr Roberts said there was no need for this. He said his company had given Mr Flavell information packs to hand out to his workers, packs which would have allayed their fears. Mr Flavell said he had never received any information packs. The manager of the forest on behalf of Winstone Pulp International, Keith Wood, said the baits were dropped over 3800ha of forest.
The timing was chosen because it was hoped the baits would kill not only possums but rats and mice and the stoats that fed on them.
A good stoat kill would give any kiwi chicks hatched in the forest a six-month opportunity to grow big enough to defend themselves and greatly improve their chances of survival.
The baits were screened to remove smaller pieces which might be eaten by birds.
“There shouldn’t have been any people working under the actual drop. It would have been dangerous, and certainly not the intention of the operation,” Mr Wood said.
Winstones had already apologised to the men, Mr Mcleod said yesterday. 1080 was a necessary evil, in Mr Wood’s opinion.
“It’s still one of the more practical and cost efficient means of dealing with possum control. Because of the terrain that we are working in the use of ground-based trapping and poisoning is difficult.”
Keeping people safe while using the toxin was “a balancing act”, he said.
The Epro operations director Ian Roberts said the baits were distributed at a rate of one every eight to 10 square metres or 2kg to 5kg per hectare.
They were treated with a deer repellent substance so deer would not be killed.
“Little pigs about the size of a cat can be killed. But the big ones, about 40kg to 50kg, detect the presence of poison and they vomit it up.”
Dogs could be killed, however, by eating poisoned possums. For a human adult even eating one bait (though it would be foolish) would have no ill effects.
However 1080 continued to be an emotional issue, Mr Roberts said, especially for hunters angry about the deaths of their dogs or their game animals.
And this is not a one off occurrence going by other conversations I’ve read in social media. Dropping baits where they shouldn’t be dropped is not an uncommon occurrence & frequently people are taken by surprise as these forestry workers were. And so continues Waikato Regional Councilor Kathy White, commenting on the above article:
“And less than an hour from me, in ANOTHER block of forest north of Taupo, exactly the same thing happened this week with the same pest contractor. Baits were dropped while forestry workers were on the job. Some of the workers didn’t know what the bits of carrot were, and hadn’t been warned about the dangers of taking bits of 1080 bait home in the tread of their boots to their kids and pets. What are the requirements in terms of informed consent to working in the middle of a 1080 drop? I hope the foreman of the site has reported this recent debacle to Worksafe and to HScompliance@epa.govt.nz”
A must watch also is Poisoning Paradise, the doco made by the GrafBoys (banned from screening on NZ TV, yet a 4x international award winner). Their website is tv-wild.com. Their doco is a very comprehensive overview with the independent science to illustrate the question marks that remain over the use of this poison.
Armed police banging on doors on Sunday mornings, to harass people with no due cause, is fascist and totalitarian. Police asking people what their views on Jacinda Ardern are, and on Trump, and whether they have ‘ethnic minority’ friends is out of order.
Jacinda Ardern is behaving more like an apprentice dictator than the PM of a democratic country, (if, of course, she is actually aware this is happening). It might be better to calm down and permit rational discussion – including the acceptance of differing points of view. Is there any rational talk in NZ any more?
People are understandably getting incredibly wound up about a number of issues related to freedom of speech. The events in Christchurch have thrown us all out of gear, as a country.
As Stephen Franks pointed out in an interview with Sean Plunket (MagicTalk Radio, 8 May, 2019) we can not and should not rely on the police to make us feel safe. Safety comes from the checks and balances of our society itself, when people trust each other and have bedrock beliefs in common.
Interfere with that and there will be problems.
Importantly, the police should not have lists of suspects without any explanation to the public of why they are suspects!
I have just spoken to Travis Mills, Private Secretary (Police), about this matter. He told me, and I quote:
“It is highly unlikely that police would be questioning people’s political preferences. Who you vote for is not a matter for NZ Police.”
Therefore if this has happened, you need to lay a complaint with the Independent Police Conduct Authority (IPCA). Phone 0800-503-728, or fill in an online complaint form at https://www.ipca.govt.nz/site/
