I read The Race to Fashoda up to the part where he moved down 8 million in the Congo then I quit.
If you walk around any-old-town in Europe you will find streets named after him.

Oh, have not seen that book. I watched the BBC doco on YT. First I’d ever heard of that history. Bit like the Brits clearing off Scotland for sheep. Only heard that story about 5 years ago. They covered up their histories so well & are presented to us as such saints. Were.
