OPINION: Dave Hansford has launched yet another attack against those opposed to pest control in the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary, near Nelson. This sanctuary has just reopened, surrounded by a 14km pest-proof fence. It will be stocked with kiwi, kākāriki and kākā.
The nasty part is that brodifacoum, a poison graded 8/10 for its ability to cause animal suffering, needed to be introduced first to kill pests inside the fence. It also killed native birds including weka and pukeko.
Do the ends justify the means? A human equivalent would be if a ruling party decided to clear out a country, exterminating all unwanted people and restocking with different people who are representatives of a “chosen race”. Wait a minute, hasn’t that been done before?
Andrea Midgen, chief executive of the SPCA, recently spoke out about the associated animal cruelty saying, “1080 (and other poisons) causes intense, prolonged suffering to animals and therefore we cannot support its use”.

This particular video is in my opinion an excellent overview of what is going on in France right now with the Yellow Vests movement. As she points out media is not reporting what is really going on & if you watch the video the YVs themselves accuse them of lying. No surprises there with MSM. Then there are the Police suicides which are not being reported. French Police taking their own lives? That speaks volumes. There have been so far 8 protester deaths with thousands injured & growing. She speaks also of a man who went in to defend Police harassment of his pacifist wife, who when later charged, was given the financial support of the YVs for legal costs. The establishment then froze that bank account containing the funds so they could not access them. Now this is fascism and Polly refers to a survey funded by CEs supporting their belief that corporate CEs have the means by which to bring about order. This she says, is a fascist takeover by corporates & is fitting with the ‘rules based World Order’ as opposed to ‘law based’. Corporations can’t make laws but they do make rules & they have the means already to enforce them. Take away people’s ability to defend themselves by freezing their bank accounts, or destroy their livelihood by firing them or closing their bank accounts. This has already happened in NZ historically.

Robots aren’t replacing everyone, but a quarter of U.S. jobs will be severely disrupted as artificial intelligence accelerates the automation of existing work, according to a new Brookings Institution report.
The report, published Thursday, says roughly 36 million Americans hold jobs with “high exposure” to automation — meaning at least 70 percent of their tasks could soon be performed by machines using current technology. Among those most likely to be affected are cooks, waiters and others in food services; short-haul truck drivers; and clerical office workers.
“That population is going to need to upskill, reskill or change jobs fast,” said Mark Muro, a senior fellow at Brookings and lead author of the report.

The United Nations climate czar and various alarmist media outlets this week sought to dismiss as a “joke” recent comments by a top advisor to Australian leader Tony Abbott on fraudulent man-made global warming theories being used to advance global tyranny. In an explosive column, Maurice Newman, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council, argued that theories on alleged human-caused climate change were not only bogus, but are serving as the basis for imposing a totalitarian “new world order” on humanity. Despite the uproar among global-warming theorists, UN bureaucrats, and the alarmist press, the evidence suggests Newman is correct.
In the column, published May 8 by The Australian newspaper, Newman begins by blowing the lid off a “well-kept secret” — the climate models purporting to prove that man’s practically irrelevant emissions of carbon dioxide are responsible for catastrophic global warming have been proven wrong. But that is not surprising, he wrote. “We have been subjected to extravagance from climate catastrophists for close to 50 years,” he explained, citing an array of examples of climate fear-mongers and media outlets warning of global cooling and other problems just a few decades ago. The more recent pronouncements of the alarmists are equally ludicrous.
In Australia, prophets of climate doom and gloom have been similarly exposed as quacks, he explained, pointing to a 2005 prediction based on computer models that could not have been more wrong. “We’ve swallowed dud prediction after dud prediction,” Newman observed. “What’s more, the [UN] Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which we were instructed was the gold standard on global warming, has been exposed repeatedly for misrepresentation and shoddy methods.” He also blasted the manipulation of temperature data to suit the alarmist narrative, and NASA’s now-exposed untruths from earlier this year.
If the theories, warnings, and models have been exposed as frauds, Newman wonders rhetorically why the UN would insist on spending hundreds of billions of dollars on “futile climate chance policies.” The answer has already been provided by, among others, UN Foundation boss Timothy Wirth, who declared: “Even if the (climate change) theory is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.” UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) boss Christiana Figueres has also explained it all rather bluntly.
For instance, speaking in Brussels last February, Figueres declared: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years since the Industrial Revolution.” More recently, blasting the United States and Americans’ elected representatives for not bowing down, Figueres claimed the ruthless Communist Chinese regime represented the best political model for fighting global warming.
“In other words, the real agenda is concentrated political authority. Global warming is the hook,” Newman explained, echoing the concerns of countless scientists and experts around the world. “This is not about facts or logic. It’s about a new world order under the control of the UN. It is opposed to capitalism and freedom and has made environmental catastrophism a household topic to achieve its objective…. Make no mistake, climate change is a must-win battlefield for authoritarians and fellow travelers.”
Newman noted that, having gained so much ground, the “eco-catastrophists” have no intention of giving up. In fact, at this point, they are backed into a corner, and to admit being wrong would be catastrophic for the establishment’s credibility — not to mention its dreams of a planetary “climate” regime with carbon taxes, wealth redistribution, and more. The totalitarian alarmists have already captured the UN and are “extremely well-funded,” as Newman put it and as a U.S. Senate investigation revealed. They also have a powerful ally in the White House and armies of “compliant academics” and “gullible mainstream media” outlets to push the climate tales regardless of the evidence. They have bribe money extracted from Western taxpayers and promised to UN member regimes for submission to the agenda, too.
But the consequences for humanity will be devastating, with former NASA climatologist Dr. Roy Spencer, for example, warning that the policies pushed by the “global warming Nazis” literally threaten millions of lives. Newman, meanwhile, noted that the “anti-growth policy prescriptions will needlessly prolong poverty, hunger, sickness and illiteracy for the world’s poorest.” The UN’s agenda also threatens free markets, prosperity, liberty, national sovereignty, and more, as The New American has documented extensively.
Despite those very real threats, under the guise of fighting the manufactured threat of man-made global warming catastrophe, Newman said there is a “real chance” that UN climate boss Figueres and “those who share her centralized power ambitions will succeed.” “As the UN’s December climate change conference in Paris approaches, Australia will be pressed to sign even more futile job-destroying climate change treaties,” he continued. “Resisting will be politically difficult. But resist we should. We are already paying an unnecessary social and economic price for empty gestures. Enough is enough.”
Figueres, who opened a recent UN climate summit with a prayer to the Mayan goddess of cannibalism, human sacrifice, and war, dismissed Newman’s concerns as “an attempt at humor.” “I really don’t take it very seriously because it doesn’t respond to the reality or to facts,” she claimed, conveniently ignoring all of the facts presented in Newman’s column. “We live in a world of free press and free opinion and, you know, if that’s the humor in Australia then that’s the humor in Australia … I have my own sense of humor. It’s quite fine.”
Of course, there is nothing funny about foisting a devastating global “climate” regime on humanitybased on discredited computer models.” But for Figueres to address the facts — she said Newman’s comments were “really good fun” — would be to expose the entire UN “climate” agenda as a dangerous attack on humanity, and especially the poor, based on fraudulent “science.” Various Australian politicians also joined the bandwagon attacking Newman’s reputation, but without addressing any of the points he raised.
For years, The New American has also been exposing the UN’s pseudo-science as fraudulent. Top experts from around the world have ridiculed the UN’s “climate models” as embarrassingly wrong— they cannot even accurately model the past, much less the future. Every single UN climate model predicted warming, and yet, for more than 18 years, there has been none. This magazine has also been sounding the alarm about the totalitarian so-called solutions being promoted by global-warming theorists — outlandish attacks on liberty, the poor, national sovereignty, and even mankind itself.
In Australia, at least, voters appear to be catching on, giving a landslide victory to Abbott and his party, which campaigned on killing the carbon tax and reining in global-warming alarmism. In one of the government’s first moves in power, the ruling Conservatives delivered a blunt message to UN alarmists: No more “socialism masquerading as environmentalism.” In a policy paper, Abbott’s Conservatives also publicly refused to sign up for any new contributions, taxes, or charges at the UN global warming summit then underway. In the United States, meanwhile, polls show just 40 percent of Americans agree with the man-made global warming theory.
However, as Newman explained in his column, the UN and the establishment plan to push the climate hysteria hard in the coming months. With the crucial UN global-warming summit in Paris coming up later this year, globalists and alarmists understand that this may be their last chance to successfully shackle humanity to their UN-run “climate” regime. And with the theory imploding on the world stage and the establishment’s credibility on the line — along with its grandiose vision of carbon taxes and “global governance” to fight “global warming” — the attacks on skeptics will become more vicious and deranged. Humanity must stand firm.

A recent Reuters article reveals that ST Engineering has been awarded $5.5 million to install facial recognition street lights in Singapore.
ST’s smart street lights come equipped with sensors, LED screens and covert cameras already installed.
Incredibly, ST claims their spying street lights can bring “healthcare benefits to residents.”
Just like smart city projects everywhere, Singapore claims that spying street lights “are not built by the government but by all of us – citizens, companies, agencies.” And just like Riverhead, New York who claimed that police surveillance drones will revitalize downtown, Singapore claims their spying street lights will “lead to meaningful and fulfilled lives.”
ST Engineering has even gone so far as to rename it’s covert facial recognition program: ST Countenance.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has been forced to admit that nobody has ever died of a cannabis overdose.
The admission comes after the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department last weekend suggested that marijuana use was a key factor in police officers’ decision to approach Keith Lamont Scott in a confrontation that turned fatal.
Thecannabist.co reports: Plainclothes officers were sitting in an unmarked car waiting to serve a warrant in an unrelated case when Scott’s car pulled in nearby, according to a police summary of the incident. The officers say they saw him holding what looked like a marijuana “blunt.”
“Officers did not consider Mr. Scott’s drug activity to be a priority at the time,” according to the incident summary, but police say they later saw a gun. “Due to the combination of illegal drugs and the gun Mr. Scott had in his possession, officers decided to take enforcement action for public safety concerns.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claims the CDC owns patents on at least 57 different vaccines, and profits $4.1 billion per year in vaccination sales.
According to RFK Jr., the CDC is not an independent government agency but is actually a subsidiary of Big Pharma.
Greenmedinfo.com reports: Mr. Kennedy told EcoWatch, “The CDC is a subsidiary of the pharmaceutical industry. The agency owns more than 20 vaccine patents and purchases and sells $4.1 billion in vaccines annually.” Again, no source.

We recently posted a story about Joel Lund of Wanaka who while attending a local function, chanced upon Lou Sanson, the CE of NZ’s Department of Conservation (DoC). As anyone would, Joel made the most of that random opportunity to ask him some questions. It’s getting pretty difficult to dialogue with any DoC staff these days going by reports I’m hearing where folk with standard questions about impending drops get the short shift & are promptly hung up on. So Joel asked the CE some pertinent questions on the use of aerial 1080, particularly the use of alternatives. This move on Joel’s part has since been decried in social media however because as it transpires, the CE was actually attending a funeral. He’s been reported as saying it was a reluctant ‘interview’ & considered inappropriate.
As unfortunate as the setting may have been & with all due respects to the grieving, nevertheless indifference to human feelings goes with the territory of a corporation … an entity that exists for profit only … owing no allegiance to humans whatsoever…

All sounds pretty familiar doesn’t it when you consider what we’ve been up against with regard to any negotiation over 1080 poison drops on our land, water and food. So, in light of all of the above, is the CE bothered about the two South Island women showered with 1080 pellets whilst out picnicking or their subsequent ongoing health issues? It would seem not. Was he concerned that the NZ lab lost a young hiker’s heart who according to her Doctor, may have been poisoned by 1080? It appears not as there are still no answers forthcoming on that one. Is he concerned at all about the Putaruru family who may have been poisoned by his corporation’s favorite poison? Or that the hospital did not test them in a timely fashion as recommended by the health professionals attending them? It would seem not. And what of the recent risk of 1080 in Auckland’s water supply? No again. Is he bothered that thousands of target and non-target animals and other wildlife die very long and agonizing deaths following his corporation’s ongoing 1080 drops? Or is he concerned that according to the late Dr Peter Scanlon 1080 may have been implicated in causing a cluster of miscarriages, stillbirths and congenital malformations to the children of pregnant women following aerial drops on the Whanganui River? Or that the data sheet of his corporation’s poison says not to drop it into waterways?
I don’t think so. His first & foremost allegiance is to the corporation he serves and not to the public of NZ. And after all our country itself is a corporation is it not? How can a corporation function as a democracy & thereby be considerate of the wishes of its citizens?
So if this is the modus operandi that corporations operate under, then why the surprise or offense from corporates about the setting of an impromptu interview when you clearly get what you give? Of all people they know the rules of engagement. Methinks it is more about diversion from the real issue at hand for the NZers who would like to decline the option of 1080 in their food chain.
Remember the CE of Nestlé’s notorious statement about water not being a human right? This is the mentality we are dealing with here.
Water is not a human right? Yet it is a corporate right to take it, bottle it and sell it back to us? Similarly it is their right to drop the ecotoxin 1080 directly into our waterways?
Make no mistake, corporations do not care about you. Profits are their only concern. Remember the recent helicopter entourage of 30 international bankers 
including the head of Goldman Sachs escorted by Lou Sanson over Fiordland? At the bottom of that one was the intriguing Nature Conservancy group ... for-profit corporations partnering with environmental organizations … known today as ‘greenwash’. Dirty corporations like Dow that are as much about conservation as pigs are about flying. ‘Conservation’ for profit. On that topic, consider the revelations of a former Taupo Mayor who exposed the gravy train that 1080 is, who did have a go at eliminating the poison, to no avail unfortunately. Mayors who are generally on as little as one third that of their CEs’ salaries clearly have no more voting power than the councilors who agree with them.
I reiterate, please do watch ‘The Corporation’ movie. If the entire planet stopped buying their stuff they would collapse overnight.

On topic, there was a time in NZ when we had ongoing post natal visits from Plunket, District Nurses etc. This was standard and was about health. My guess here is that it’s about the ongoing push for mandatory vaccines which be assured now have way more toxic ingredients than they did during my childhood. And are also given in far greater numbers and concentration. Along with all of the injuries & deaths that have been going with that. All denied of course.

Oregon Governor Kate Brown introduced a new bill that will allow in-home surveillance on the families of newborn babies.
Brown introduced Senate Bill 526 to the Oregon Legislative Assembly as part of her budget package. The budget allows Oregon Health Authority personnel to look into or “study home visiting by licensed health care providers.” Lawmakers are calling SB 526 an “emergency measure.” Meaning, the bill could be rushed to approval by year’s end.
The Oregon Health Authority shall study home visiting by licensed health care providers in this state. The authority shall submit findings and recommendations for legislation to an interim committee of the Legislative Assembly related to health care not later than December 31, 2019.
There are an astounding 18 sponsors to the bill who collectively state that its “necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety,” and therefore “an emergency is declared to exist.” …..
There is nothing written into the bill that cites it would be a mandatory event, but it doesn’t say it won’t be, either. It states it is “universal,” which in socialist terms, is never a comforting descriptor of any government program. Many states have pushed for increased surveillance on homeschool children, but this is a first blatant attempt to monitor all kids. Either case is bad, but the “universal” aspect is horrendous.
If you think such laws are impossible to pass, think again.

Two videos from YT on the ongoing yellow vest protests in France. The first one gives a graphic view of the force of the police there (80K of them, and previous reports say they are believed to have been infiltrated by EU German forces) & the second a glimpse into the very brutal police retaliation, rubber bullets at close very range, (dropping tear gas from helicopters in other videos), also graphic footage of outright beating of innocent by standers, one an elderly man at a bus stop with his wife that has gone viral. Disturbing times. Just watching this situation.

This is dated 2014. As always with detection of possible environmental contamination, the various industries tend to set the bar low enough to eliminate any public concern. Certainly this one does not look too thorough. All due respect to the small players that are of course powerless to stop the fall out from that disaster that still goes on… amidst the endless rounds of denial & cover up by the perpetrators.
