Major food companies like General Mills continue to sell popular children’s breakfast cereals and other foods contaminated with troubling levels of glyphosate, the cancer-causing ingredient in the herbicide Roundup. The weedkiller, produced by Bayer-Monsanto, was detected in all 21 oat-based cereal and snack products sampled in a new round of testing commissioned by the Environmental Working Group. All but four products contained levels of glyphosate higher than what EWG scientists consider protective for children’s health with a sufficient margin of safety.

(Bloomberg)— WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told a London court that his life was “effectively at stake” as he battled being sent to the U.S. to face charges that he endangered national security.
Appearing via videolink from the high-security Belmarsh prison, Assange said observers “should not fall into believing that WikiLeaks is anything but a publisher.” He spoke after a judge at Westminster Magistrates Court ordered that his full five-day hearing should be fixed for Feb. 25 next year.
The court appearance comes after Home Secretary Sajid Javid signed an order that lets an American bid to extradite Assange to formally proceed. Assange, in a gray shirt and wearing glasses, spoke at the end of the hearing to ask for details of the American indictment, which he’s yet to see.

A contact in the manufacturing industry tells me :
“The way I read this, (the attached OIA response), the consent has only been live for a few weeks so any toxic bait previously made and the air consequently discharged (presumably via the front roller door) was in breach of the RMA.”
This means that all of the baits made for the Hope and Cascade Valleys, Fiordland, aerial 1080 drop last year for DoC’s ‘Battering the Birds’ programme and all of the Pindone rabbit baits were made with the front roller door used as an air extractor!
I am told that the adequacy of a single bag filter system (which is sure to fail at some point) is seriously questionable, as is its failure warning system, (which is based on pressure variations inside and outside). A particle sensor with alarm and auto shut-down might give the neighbours more comfort!!
PCR Ltd, 8 Centrum Lane, Rolleston, got consent to manufacture 1080 baits in mid-2018. The factory is surrounded by businesses. Could the workers in those businesses have been affected by toxic 1080 poison dust coming out of the roller door? It is most certainly not in an isolated area.
Now we hear that a PCR Ltd worker had an accident in a warehouse in Bromley “processing chemicals that were going to be delivered to the main PCR office in Rolleston”. This happened on 28 May and is only just released in the news tonight, two weeks later. The last I heard the poor man was in a coma. Did the warehouse in Bromley have consents to be processing poisons?!!!
On ‘Operation Ban 1080’, Dave Burrows has stated publicly “This is KiwiCare” property owned by Matthew O’Brien. It is not licensed to carry out any poison work at Bromley. He also owns 51% of PCR Ltd at Rolleston. Let us hope this does not become another coverup job!!” See photo of OBrien attached.
PCR Ltd is operated by Kiwi Care Corporation. It is 49% owned by the West Coast Regional Council, and 51% owned by Pest Control Investors Ltd ( O’Brien?), and is operated by KiwiCare Corporation.
A must watch also is Poisoning Paradise, the doco made by the GrafBoys (banned from screening on NZ TV, yet a 4x international award winner). Their website is tv-wild.com. Their doco is a very comprehensive overview with the independent science to illustrate the question marks that remain over the use of this poison. Finally, remember what the retired MD Charlie Baycroft said recently …‘if you die from 1080 poisoning, nobody will know because the Ministry of Health is bullying NZ Doctors into not testing for 1080′.

“The Institute for Environmental Science and Research is carrying out testing at Bromley’s Pest Control Research site, and WorkSafe is investigating.
The staff member was exposed to the chemicals two weeks ago at the site which handles, but doesn’t make, 1080 poison.
Research director at the site Matthew O’Brien says they’re supporting their worker.
He says they’re doing everything they can to support their man and his family, as well as to assist WorkSafe with their work.” (Read more related links with videos below).
We’re pretty much on our own on this. Be vigilant everybody. I read a discussion yesterday saying two women had died of unknown causes in a town near a post 1080 drop zone. People will need to wake up big time if they value their lives & that of their families. Getting very gung ho … especially when they are not censoring the EPRO contractor who was quoted publicly in the newspaper as saying it is safe to eat a pellet. And teaching our kids it’s ‘not very dangerous to humans’. EWR
Yesterday I had a conversation with the National Poisons Centre.
Joel Lund of Wanaka had asked a GP what he would do if someone presented with poisoning symptoms after an aerial 1080 poison drop. The doctor replied he would contact the National Poisons Centre. This sounds like a sensible response, one would have thought. Think again!
I had a number of questions for the National Poisons Centre about 1080 poisoning, given that so many people live around 1080 drop zones and are potentially exposed to the substance many times over.
I asked the person who answered the phone there if she was the correct person to be talking to. She said she was.
I explained that we are about to experience another 1080 poison drop in our area (Wanaka) and asked if there were testing kits available here.
The BBC has been accused of “sanitizing the behavior of terrorists” under plans for an effective ban on its journalists using the word ‘terror’ when reporting on terrorist attacks such as the Islamist massacres at London Bridge or Manchester Arena, or the Christchurch mosque terror attack.
BBC reporters will be told to avoid using the word “terror” to describe any terror attack, unless they are quoting someone else who uses the word.
Instead, the reporters will refer to terror attacks by naming specific details, such as the location and the method of slaughter used.
Daily Mail reports: The controversial edict means that the BBC will no longer use the phrase ‘terror attack’ to describe the massacres at London Bridge or Manchester Arena, as the corporation did when the atrocities occurred.
Reporters would describe them as the London Bridge van attack or the Manchester Arena bomb attack instead.

The number of dead whales washed up along the United States’ west is the highest number on record since 2000.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries, the stranding of over 70 gray whales this year is considered to be an “unusual mortality event.”
Express.co.uk reports: The Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) defines an ‘Unusual Mortality Event’ as involving a significant die-off, which demands an immediate response.
The number of grey whale strandings for 2019 is the highest number on record since 2000 – a year which saw over 100 whales wash up on US coastlines.
There has been some indication from scientists climate change could have played a part in the deaths.
Sue Moore, an oceanographer at the University of Washington, told Reuters: “The Arctic is changing very, very quickly, and the whales are going to have to adjust to that.”

For big foreign entities, the notion of having within their portfolios some New Zealand forests for carbon farming looks very attractive. As part of a balanced portfolio, any risks can be managed. In relation to the low returns on equities that can be earned elsewhere in the global economy, the returns look truly stunning.
An overseas entity can buy the land, plant it in trees, receive some Government subsidies, and then sit back and take the stream of income from carbon credits over the next 28 years. And then write off the original investment in the same way that a spent mine is written off.
Facebook reportedly keeps a list of “hate agents” that it advises its staff to watch for potential termination. Black conservative and prominent activist, Candace Owens, is shown on the list. Worse more, she’s shown on an additional list that gives “extra credit” to employees who find creative ways to censor her.
According to a Facebook employee source that spoke to Breitbart News, the “hate agents” list was disseminated through an internal Facebook employee channel. Brian Amerige, a former Facebook engineer, resigned over the list citing Facebook’s political intolerance as his reason. The source claims the “hate agents” list is populated with numerous conservative minded figures.
Given our current homeless problem (43+K) & shortage of housing I’m seeing state homes boarded up, selling, sold etc. Penny Bright exposed the thousands of homes sold off in Tamaki & elsewhere to property developers. I’ve also heard of private folk buying them for a virtual song. Some folk who were evicted from these who are still homeless. Then there’s the P scam with many sales, the tale spun by the Nats that justified sell offs. Also the folk being placed in emergency motel accommodation. I’ve heard of folk leaving those with $85K debt because WINZ loaned the money for that accommodation. The only real beneficiaries of that scheme of course are the moteliers. How is it rocket science to simply have lent that $85 to the homeless person towards a new house? Even a tiny home, a container home or similar? One scenario that’s been told me since posting this is that of bulldozed state homes, very recently too. We are in the middle of a housing crisis & they are bulldozing perfectly good looking houses… a formerly state owned asset down the gurgler of course courtesy of Roger Douglas. So if you can report any thing like this, let me know how long ago they were bulldozed & the addresses where they were. We are told these sections will have new community houses built on them. Have you seen any being built? If you’ve noticed any houses/units etc also that have sat empty or boarded up for a while can you send me a pic with the following info if you have it:
1) current date & about how long it’s been empty
2) if you happen to know anything about the last tenants as in why they left (just left, were evicted, muscled out?)
3) is it for sale?
4) what town/area/city is it?
5) do you have any other info about it
5) if you’ve been housed in a motel, did you leave with debt to repay to WINZ?
I’d like to compile these & get a general picture of the extent of former HNZ homes being land banked. Needless to say your personal details would be kept confidential & unpublished. (People have already indicated they know of homes that have been empty for up to 18 months & more for no apparent reason).

See here … DoC “staff and contractors being abused, threatened and even followed and filmed” says the NZ Herald … a bit rich really when environmentalists it’s been recently revealed (myself included) have been secretly spied on. In addition a senior environmentalist was assaulted in 2018 by DoC’s security staff (thrown out but the victim came out with $24K court costs by the way) and another man was run into by a farmer on his quad bike.

Stepping back a little, it’s a time worn tactic to reframe environmentalists as terrorists who threaten the lives of these ‘innocent’ employees of our govt departments cum corporations (that operate on a for profit basis note). If you hadn’t noticed, your government, your councils & your former government departments are all corporations/companies listed on Dun & Bradstreet & the SEC in Washington. Note also that corporations & companies cannot operate democratically as the article in the link explains.
An exposé of the corporate habit of hounding environmentalists is Nicky Hager’s account of the West Coast Timberlands debacle, ‘Secrets & Lies’… summarized in the foreword by John Stauber, ed of the US investigative journal PR Watch who cites Australian academic Alex Carey:

A typical NZ environmentalist, part of the ‘rabble’ DoC seeks protection from

Carey writes that ‘police states do not need sophisticated propaganda because bullying, murder, torture and poverty are horribly crude but effective means of enforcing control.’ And in nations like ours however… ‘the modern propaganda industry is so invisibly pervasive and effective … the art and business of public relations is necessary to keep the rabble in line’.
There it is in a nutshell. That’s what we have here folks in the ongoing drone by mainstream media that DoC staff are at risk of danger from anti 1080 activists. Note the terminology please & the use of ‘anti’. We are pro clean & green … yes we are against poisons but the use of ‘anti’ evokes visions of rebellion & violence. It’s all in the word play. And so when the movement against poisons begins to gain any traction or shed some light on the ongoing lies, another assault is mounted by way of the corporate owned media. And so, typically one of the media outlets (all the same really) will produce a bit more spin to fool the public.
So right now DoC in its latest spin that they are under threat has been allocated $10.7 million for security. Note in the article that the monetary sum is strategically placed after the long list of alleged threats. Also strategic is the selection of the feature image and the prominent word ‘eco-terrorism’ … even though it is referring to the state funded authorities, it serves as ammunition for them. A picture is worth a thousand words.

The news outlets are all in the same camp at the end of the day, aside from the odd true journo who knows what side their bread is buttered so to speak. Or if the journo doesn’t it’s a case of ‘down the road.’
We have slid quietly from a (reasonably more) democratic society into a corporate & increasingly fascist state (remembering here the recent over-the-top police raids going on). From a nation where people mattered, where most people had a job and most were housed and fed, to a nation that’s now in $128 billion debt to the bankers (funny that), impoverished, homeless & in despair, witness our very high suicide rate. Our former Godzone is all but gone now. Beware.
