Have to say, I’ve a lot of sympathy for this assessment. My doctor of 40 years moved into a medical centre just before the lockdown, before retiring altogether. When I rang up to make an appointment for a Pap smear, they offered me a telephone consultation – I wish I’d accepted! I lost interest in having the smear, and so they didn’t follow it up. Instead they rang me several times about a flu shot. The last time I said I was looking for a new doctor and seem to have fallen between the cracks, which could be a good thing …
