Thanks Pam for sharing this. It calls to mind the old acronym, GIGO, as in “garbage in, garbage out”. If bad data or incorrect assumptions are used, or math errors are not caught, then we get deeply flawed results.
Kind of like the story about a failed Mars lander where (because of a simple “math” miscalculation) the entry rockets turned off too early and… crash.
