Just after Cyclone Gabrielle caused mayhem and destruction in Hawkes Bay, we spoke with Leao Tildsley of Island Girl Views (https://www.facebook.com/IslandgirlVi…. Leao told Liz about an orchard owner, Russell Hope, who runs his business called Taste of Summer -make sure to support them or buy a fruit product via Facebook – (https://www.facebook.com/tasteofsumme…. Here, Leao takes Liz to show her firsthand the flood damage and to speak with Russ.
Some extraordinary sleuthing is being done by some extraordinary people that will never make it to lamestream media.
While in Hawkes Bay Tobias and i decided to check out a body of water further up the Esk called the Toronui reservoir.
It had been admitted Waikaremoana dam had released a percentage of water however as it is some distance away from HB it was only logical to look closer to home regarding the cause of such destruction.
I recall that similar happened with the White Island eruption. The first responder to that for rescue was a private helicopter pilot … the official lot had decided not to go! This pilot who did go & rescue people who would not be alive had he not, this pilot who went with no hesitation & yet great risk to his own life, was charged by Worksafe! His business was ruined! On topic this is a must watch (more on what whore media isn’t telling you). EWR
Residents of rural communities around Napier and Hastings have told officials at a meeting on security after Cyclone Gabrielle that locals are scared, sleepless and armed.
LOCAL SECURITY MEETING HELD IN HAWKE’S BAY
A couple of nights ago a local meeting was held in the Hawke’s Bay to discuss the increase in crime.
Bay View, Whirinaki, Eskdale & surrounding communities voiced their opinions and told their stories to Police Minister Stuart Nash, local MPs, police and local authorities.
CSM got off the phone this afternoon to a woman based in the community who confirms this is true and they were going back at night to their water damaged home to protect it from looters.
NOTE: See below the article for ongoing updatesfrom the East Coast & Hawke’s Bay …EWR
Even if a large part of what follows are just rumours (which I do not believe for a second) then what has happened in Hawkes Bay and the Gisborne area is a catastrophic tragedy (with possibly some elements of a crime) that goes way beyond the sanitised version of what we are being told by the mainstream media.
One thing that is not being told is the downline effects of reportedly HALF of Hawkes Bay’s rich horticulture being destroyed on top of the general assault on our food supply.…
GISBORNE & HAWKES BAY CRIPPLED We are getting reports MSM are ignoring the worst stories.
There are 5,600 registered as missing. Hawkes Bay residents are saying: “Dead animals are building up and rotting & Napier residents have been without power, hot water, internet & phone signal since Mon night/Tues morning.” “A lot of people have lost their houses, everything.” “We were totally cut off from Napier in Hastings with many people being turned away from the only crossing available even though they were essential.” “Looting, shooting, stabbing, killing, stealing, and hostage situations are going on. Gangs are out of control, holding people hostage and at gun point for their supplies.” “The devastation has all but destroyed from what we hear 50% or more of Hawkes Bay’s horticulture.”
Note: Lamestream media is now in damage control mode warning about ‘conspiracy’ theories… as truth comes out. This article cites many links to eye witness evidence. Particularly listen to the young man on TikTok who speaks about the dam release causing a tsunami in Wairoa, not before the storm which they knew was coming, but during it. Pays to save all of this info before it gets wiped of the net by the censors. EWR
From seemorerocks.is
The following gut-wrenching report came to me in a voice message.
I believe strongly that the information should be made available to everyone while the identity of the person kept private.
I have therefore made a transcript and edited out bits that are at all personal
The reality on the ground in Hawkes Bay
Hey, how are you? Sorry, I haven’t really been in content. I’ve been trying to lay low.
From what I know there’s hundreds, hundreds dead the morgue – the morgue at the hospitals full.
There’s a morgue at the port that is reported to have about 100 bodies and I have spoken to someone I know that works at the port and he confirmed that.
But he also said it’s under army control and it’s classified.
So then I got a hold of a friend who’s in the army.
He’s actually been up in Gisborne. He’s due back here in Hawke’s Bay tonight, so I’m going to go and see him because he’s really cagey about what he says.
He said, ” I’ve been up in Gisborne and what I’ve seen there is worse than Afghanistan”.
So he’s been in the army 20 years, and he’s been to war and he said, this is worse.
My daughter’s boyfriend’s brother was working clearing a bridge yesterday. They were getting the slash up in he found a body. He recognized the hand, but the rest of the body is unrecognizable.
So I think that issue – and this is through talking with people I trust in Hawke’s Bay, not hearsay.
The issue was these bodies have been smashed by the slash. They have had downpours of water gushing past them. They’ve been beaten up and they’ve also been decomposing for six days in water and heat.
You can’t get a dental appointment in Hawke’s Bay because all the dentists are trying to use dental records to identify the bodies.
There is a group of 50 RSE workers (Recognised Seasonal Employer Limited Visa – ed) that were working in the Esk valley that have all been taken out.
The forestry boys on recovery mission – so the forestry boys, the navy, obviously the police, Search and Rescue – everyone are picking up bodies off the beaches and off the forestry blocks because I can get to more remote areas.
Apparently, the 50 RSE workers, no one can identify them.
Two articles, one from Stuff the other from the NZ Herald, links below.
The people presenting to the ED one article says, had serious health conditions.
Note, the VX rollout may not of course be related to the influx of health emergencies, however the latter has had the effect as noted, of tying up services & delaying scheduled appointments & operations. It’s hoped we will learn in due course the reason for the sudden influx.
The VX rollout began the week of April 28th & by May 6th 7,872 doses had been administered.
by John Veysey of Coromandel At present there are eighteen bovine TB-infected herds in Hawkes Bay. Ospri has found a TB-infected pig on private land. The infected pig was taken from the 12,000 ha of Tataraakina C trust land. Ospri tells farmers that this find “confirms that the spread of TB in Hawkes Bay is coming through wild life and not through movement of livestock”. BUT Ospri seems to have no logical explanation of how TB gets into a wild pig. They tell farmers that the pig can not transfer the disease to another pig nor to another animal. Ospri’s supposition is that the possum transfers the disease to cattle but for the possum to get the disease from the pig it must eat the meat from a dead pig which has died from the infection. OSPRI Failure For decades Ospri and its predecessor, TB-Free NZ, have failed to establish how possums gain infection from cattle or how the disease is transferred back again from the possum to the cow. Ospri’s idea of transfer from a pig depends on a “carnivorous” possum. Eh?
Taped after a group of workers complained to MBIE about Rarere, it reveals him threatening to withhold an allowance, report them to Immigration NZ, and then withhold flights back to their home countries.
“They said they didn’t have any employment. They didn’t have any money to buy food, and they were hungry.”
One worker decided to tape record the meeting after the group made a complaint to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment’s Labour Inspectorate.
So the NZ authorities have been bombarding our forests & farms with this Class 1A Ecotoxin for well nigh 60 years, and the hospitals still don’t know what to do?!!! Don’t have a plan in place at all? Doesn’t that sound well … not too intelligent?
The following article from e2nz.org highlights this curious anomaly. The interesting thing is, in spite of not knowing, some Doctors who perhaps are painfully aware of the situation venture to recommend testing for 1080 when folk present with mysterious symptoms, and meet with brick walls. Very curious. Remember the Putaruru family? And what Dr Charles Baycroft said? It is all looking very factual indeed. EWR
“What does a New Zealander, or indeed a tourist do when they suspect 1080 poisoning has occurred? Harden up? Hope for the best? Believe that “she’ll be right?” Or perhaps go to the GP who, in the case of the two sisters caught in 1080 dust during their picnic, “didn’t really know how to deal with it”. There is no process, protocol, guidance or help and many people don’t trust the system, which appears to be in place to protect the aerial-1080 programme and not us.
A recent private drop carried out in Hawkes Bay’s Panpac Forestry has resulted in a mother and her three children becoming ill from, once again, 1080 dust. The Panpac drop was on 28th August.
Immediate symptoms were that it was hard to breath, dizziness, tingling lips, and later the next day chest pains and heart palpatations. Another reaction has been a very puffy face, yet the pharmacy said it was not hayfever. They thought it was something very serious. It is a sad indictment that victims of 1080 poison feel unable to approach the authorities as they have seen too many before them be brushed aside, that there is ‘no help’, and that it is all swept under the carpet. The 1080 issue appears to be one of patriotism and one must not criticise. We must stop protesting and ‘get on board with the programme’ according to Ms Barry in The Press.
From an Otago professor who lectures on toxins in the workplace there’s this advice:
For anyone who knows or suspects they have been exposed to 1080 poison you must pass a urine sample as soon as possible into a clean jar and refrigerate it until you can send it to Landcare Research, Cawthorne Research Institute and/or Gribbles for testing.
Yet can we trust the Crown Research laboratories? (ed. are you joking?)
And this from the victim today:
“Been to hospital and waited 2 hrs to be told they couldn’t test me they didn’t know how to test for it so had dye put in my eyes and my daughters eyes looking for scratches to eye but there was none so got sent home so if I have got it it’s now been left unattended cause they haven’t a clue how to treat anyone and they were shocked 1080s been dumped they were suppose to be notified first”.
Hospital absolutely did not know what to do. No information and did not know about urine testing. She and her kids are still getting chestpains.
They were promised by a contact at DoC that there was no drop, it was postponed, and that there would be articles in the paper before any drop. She was in touch week by week with DoC to make sure it was safe to go. They went with a trapping permit and the destination was MacIntosh DoC hut.
There’d been no rain to settle the dust but very strong winds, which meant they dad to move branches. They found it harder and harder to breathe.
Are you all as appalled as I am? This is abysmal support and dangerously cavalier to have no medical back up for a poison that is so widely used. Where is the protection from any fall out from our government’s poisoning policy? It is like being at war. Yet a silent one. Women and children were running around up there – not just the family that has so far come forward. This globally banned poison, with the highest international rating for being a biohazardous chemical, is being dropped without sufficient warning over vast areas of our countryside. And our Minister for Conservation is without compassion, is simply telling us 1080 is like a cup of tea. Safe she says. You can go back to a drop zone after 48 hours.
NO. These people were there 5 days after the drop was supposedly over. The MacIntosh Plateau, which was not supposed to be in the drop zone, is full of dead birds and dead deer and that information has come from a variety of different sources.
Well I’m blown away. Herald has published a piece about alternatives to 1080. Just on the heels of my post on mainstream media. Either there’s progress on that front, or there’s more to their agenda than meets the eye. I would have to say I get a little suspicious when MS does a turn around. However… in the meanwhile, this is good news. It comes specifically from Hawke’s Bay Today & is a scathing commentary on a previous opinion piece about 1080.
*Norm Brown: There are alternatives to 1080 poison
Norm Brown says dropping 1080 with no due care of the results is ‘despicable’ Photo: Hawke’s Bay Today
In reply to Mark Story’s opinion piece that claimed 1080 angst is “unhinged and ill-informed”.
You call me unhinged because I argued with Ospri about aerial spreading 1080 over tracks and river edge in the Kawekas where we take students tramping and which is used frequently by tourists and New Zealand public.
You call me unhinged when I then find out a couple of weeks later that the MoH had actually told Ospri to ground treat the area concerned. That Ospri also told me that the area would be safe and just wash the students’ shoes is even more insulting.
To say I am ill-informed when I am working to the only official regulations available by law to me, the label and the chemical data sheet, is slander and fraudulent.
To say that other anti-1080 people are ill-informed is also slanderous and fraudulent.
You are saying that the label and the chemical data sheet are false science. Are you really saying that everyone should ignore chemical labels and data sheets or do you just wish to pick on 1080?
If you are saying that the regulations are fraudulent then I suggest that you very quickly get the Government to change the EPA personnel because you have just called them incompetent and mischievous.
To be 100 per cent truthful you should be saying that anti-1080 people believe in the regulations while the pro-1080 people such as Ospri have been given dispensation not to work to the regulations.
Even then the pro-1080 people are disobeying the few restrictions placed on them when given the dispensation. There are two rules governing 1080. This is the essence of the issue. This has been stated often.
So now it comes down to who is actually ill informed, the anti-1080 people or Ospri and commentators like yourself?
When Ospri forces non-compliant applications of 1080 on the populous with no due care of the results it is despicable.
It builds the fear, anger, frustration and a genuine need to protest. Your article ridicules those affected and only adds heat to this.
To tell anti-1080 people they are using false science, when they are working to the label and data sheets (the regulations), builds the anger to contempt and accusations of fraud and corruption.
Your opinion piece has just drawn all these on to you and your paper. Integrity would require your words to be withdrawn and an apology offered to all of New Zealand for helping expose them to this horrendous deadly poison that has no antidote, has horrendous side effects on all mammals (humans are mammals) birds, insects, and plant life.
1080 breaks down at 200C, dissolves easily in water and is known to create secondary and tertiary poisoning, and in many cases leaves the carcasses to rot over many months in catchment areas (insects die if they try to eat the carcass), creating a bacterial contamination.
It is time you did some research to find what is driving the fear and anger and the frustration. It is columns like yours that are ill-founded, ill-informed and somewhat unhinged.
You say anti-1080 people create havoc with the environment, which is also slanderous.
Most of us are well aware of the environment and the protection of it. Especially when it comes to humanity.
Awareness is driven by fear that we will have more effects like thalidomide, 245T, 24D, DDT, and asbestos, to name some. These were all declared safe by the manufacturers and our own EPA and yet created social trauma. The 1080 label and EPA say 1080 is not safe.
If you get a chance, look at the photos the New Plymouth nurse took over several years of fetal defects in the Paratutu area where the Dow factory was located. I am sorry, humanity comes first.
To try to tell New Zealand that there is no alternative to 1080, is crap.
Pests are very well controlled in all farmland and It was not aerial dropping of 1080.
Alternatives are controlled and precise.
However, I would prefer the expansion of these alternatives to the short and long term results of current uncontrolled aerial spreading by people who have no credibility or ethical behavior.

“Rockets will soon be blasting off from northern Hawke’s Bay again, after Rocket Lab announced its second test-launch window.
“The Auckland-based company yesterday said it would fly payloads for clients Planet and Spire on its upcoming second test flight titled “Still Testing” from its Launch Complex 1 site at Mahia Peninsula.” NZ Herald
We had an article earlier this year about the Mahia Rocket base. I had intended to follow up with further details however time constraints have prevented me. There were some comments from locals that you can read at the original post, voicing their concerns and observations around the consultation processes, possible effects on fishing and other things.
What I have discovered since that post is information people probably are not aware of about Lockheed Martin (LM). I’m adding here the basic info on the corporation from the original post:
Lockheed Martin is one of the largest companies in the aerospace, defense, security, and technologies industry. It is the world’s largest defense contractor based on revenue for fiscal year 2014.[5] In 2013, 78% of Lockheed Martin’s revenues came from military sales;[6] it topped the list of US federal government contractors and received nearly 10% of the funds paid out by the Pentagon.[7] In 2009 US government contracts accounted for $38.4 billion (85%), foreign government contracts $5.8 billion (13%), and commercial and other contracts for $900 million (2%).[8] Wikipedia
Lockheed Martin is so big that it is the equivalent almost of a private second government.
You can listen to the information on Lockheed Martin (LM) on a video (by Dane Wigington) in another recent post, by an ex CIA whistle blower Kevin Shipp who describes the true length, breadth and power of this company. (If you’re pressed for time go straight to 12 minutes in, or to hear specifically about LM go to 17 min). Not surprisingly, the US Military Industrial Complex (MIC) holds considerable power over Congress.
A screen shot from the lecture by Kevin Shipp – the interrelationships of the shadow government
Part of that of course is the said company. LM is the chief surveillance information processor for the CIA, the NSA and the FBI. It has created a program that tracks every contact every American citizen has with the IRS, their emails, payments made, all are run through LM. The corporation is so big that it is the equivalent almost, says Shipp, of a private second government. The average household in America has what he calls a ‘Lockheed Martin tax’. The sum of around $260 is taken from all pockets pa to pay this company basically to spy on Americans through the NSA & CIA, even tracking packages in the US postal. As well as all this of course they make ballistic missiles among other weaponry to sell to foreign governments.
Moving on then, this is a company that has helped fund the NZ Rocket Lab. Do you really think they are here because they really feel for our unemployed? Given their ongoing ‘budget’ in the US (trillions Shipp estimates) we are very small fry. Our government aka corporation is fully in bed with the US Military going by their recent carry on, having also made a farce of our nuclear free stance. It is all now about money. So, a must listen is the video, and watch this space (no pun intended) for further updates on where this thing is headed. EnvirowatchRangitikei
Rocket Lab announces second test on Mahia Peninsula
“The flight is the second of three in Rocket Lab’s Electron test programme and follows May’s successful inaugural Electron test flight.
The Electron vehicle for the “Still Testing” flight is expected to be trucked to the site next month, and a launch window will open in the following weeks.
The vehicle will carry two Earth-imaging Dove satellites for Planet and two Lemur-2 satellites from Spire for weather mapping and ship tracking.
Rocket Lab founder and chief executive Peter Beck said carrying a test payload marked a significant milestone for the Electron programme, enabling Rocket Lab to gather crucial data and test systems for the deployment stage of a mission.
Now wouldn’t you surely want to encourage solar power? After all aren’t we CLEAN AND GREEN here in Aotearoa? Well apparently not. Again we have the Gov/Corporation comfortably in bed with its corporate mates. Like Local Govt is. They all parade around pretending they are democratically elected government bodies acting for we the people when in fact they are each corporations running on the essential maximize profit bottom line. Which is what corporations are about. However the divide is getting wider and the spin less and less credible by the day.
Think about that. Clean Green NZ wants to quash solar power? Do the math, join the dots & see just who is working for you. It’s not JK that’s for real. Remember this come election time.

New Zealand’s electricity watchdog is not fit for purpose and is working with big energy companies to destroy the future of rooftop solar power in New Zealand, according to Greenpeace NZ.
Yesterday, the Electricity Authority (EA) ruled that a controversial move by Hawke’s Bay lines company, Unison, to charge its solar users an extra fee was not in breach of any regulations.
The ruling came on the heel of public uproar, which saw formal complaints being laid with the authority, and a petition asking it to protect solar collecting more than 30,000 signatures in just three weeks.
Greenpeace climate campaigner, Simon Boxer, says the ruling now gives lines companies throughout the country the green light to follow Unison and put a tax on solar.
“This is a blatant move by the EA to wash its hands of protecting and promoting renewable energy like solar so that it can continue to massage New Zealand’s electricity monopoly,” he says.
“It’s no secret that the EA isn’t big a fan of solar. In the past it has even publicly advised New Zealanders not to rush into installing it. By giving the nod for Unison to penalise solar, the EA is effectively attempting to kill the uptake of solar in our near future.
