We are learning our homes are toxic, electrically and electromagnetically, unfortunately lighting is no exception. Li-Fi is just one of the modern hidden dangers.

Salt water battery

Materials

• Two different types of metals – for instance, copper and zinc. You can use copper wires, spiralled or strips. For zinc, some use galvanized nails or zinc strips. Using two metals is necessary for the chemical reaction.

• Avoid iodine-based salts. Table salt works. Sea water is optimum.

• Water – seawater or tap water will work, warm water speeds up the dissolving process.

• A container, small cup or clean jar.

• Wires with or without alligator as there are other ways to wire (see video link)

• A small load – such as a light-emitting diode or a digital clock that takes low voltage to see the power.

Items will be found around the home or at the local hardware.

Kiwis are people that still know how to do this stuff, lets make sure our childrens children have that know how too.
