Idaho lawmakers on verge of sanctioning a carnage of 90% of the state’s wolves

A bill that would allow trophy hunters, trappers and private contractors hired at taxpayer expense to kill up to 90% of the state’s wolves is flying through the Idaho legislature, and we need to stop it in its tracks.

The bill, introduced Tuesday, has already passed the state Senate and the House Resources and Conservation Committee. It could receive a vote on the floor of the House as early as Monday.

This is a terrible and wrongheaded measure that shows neither compassion nor any understanding of science. S. 1211 would allow trophy hunters and trappers to kill…

  1. I know someone who lives in rural Idaho. Years ago wolves were deliberately re-introduced into settled farming areas (not just in Idaho) and their population has massively increased. they kill numerous livestock and also threaten people.Idaho is one of the few relatively “based” states in The U.S. that (mostly) has not fallen for the C.V. B.S. this past year. They know what is going on, generally, and so this does not surprise me and is not as bad as it sounds for reducing their population (methods maybe so but getting rid of a lot of them, no).

    1. thanks for the back ground info there didiusjulianus. The culling topic always catches my eye in light of NZ’s battle with 1080 poisoning of all things. Very prolifically. I figure for here, the destroying of wild food sources anticipating smart cities & human exclusion from the ‘wild zones’. Agenda 21/30. I do note culling is on the increase… very widespread.
