Workers report that nothing is alive now … no birds, no insects, nothing! … at recently 1080’d Wilkin River Vlly, Mt Aspiring Ntl Park

This is truly disturbing, especially on the heels of a recent post on topic and the revelations from the Taupo area where a hunter reports the same after SIXTY PLUS YEARS of 1080 treatment. The poison simply is not working, and worse it is decimating our native birds. Kea are nearing extinction (here also) and remember this post also about the 10K birds killed in one drop? When is this madness going to be looked at with independent eyes, independent research and an eye for alternatives. They are aerially treating areas that could be easily trapped while saying they only aerially treat inaccessible places.

Note: this post since published has had 40K shares on FB (14K initially in one week … at which point the pro poisoners were responding with comments it is not true. The person who provided the info is 100% bonafide & reliable I can assure you). The truth is coming out. I encourage you, if you have similar ‘silent’ stories do contact me using the contact form…. the accumulation of other sightings provides more evidence that 1080 is not conserving our natives & is also killing our non natives. This is by design of course although DoC is not outright telling us that. The plan is to totally eliminate all non natives, part of the UN biodiversity goals.

MAKARORA – THE AFTERMATH

The Makarora area of Mt Aspiring National Park was aerially 1080-poisoned on 15 October, 2019 – the Wilkin, Fish, Blue, Cameron, Makarora and Young Valleys.

Yesterday I was told that the old six-bunk forestry hut at Top Forks, Wilkin River Valley, is being restored, and the workers restoring it are living there while it is restored. They say there is absolutely nothing left alive up there. It is as silent as the grave…. no birds, no insects, NOTHING !

Extraordinarily, even though the area was poisoned only two weeks ago there are NO warning signs on any of the DoC online track information on the Young Valley Track, Cameron Valley Track, Blue-Young Valley Track, etc! There will be dead carcasses and baits in the streams and rivers. Innocent tourist trampers from overseas will drink from the streams.

WHAT I CAN NOT STAND, IS WHY PEOPLE CONSISTS OF THINKING THAT YOU CAN COMBINE PATRIOTISM WITH THE KINGDOM OF YAHVEH AND THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST. YOU CAN NOT DO THIS, BECAUSE THE KINGDOM OF YAHVEH IS NOT OF THIS WORLD, AND PATRIOTISM IS NOT PRUE, LIKE THE KINGDOM OF YAHVEH, IT IS NOT US THAT IS NEGLECTING THIS LAND MASS, THOSE OF US IN CHRIST JUST CAN NOT FOREVER BE LOYAL TO SOMETHING THAT IS FINITE.     1. I can’t believe I’m even replying to this but I can’t help myself. What I can’t stand is people thinking that JC is going to come and save us ffs, only we can save our planet. Stop believing in a book that was written to ensure that you believe you will be “saved” by behaving like a good little person, giving your power to a psychotic off-planet deity, so you will never look down at our astonishing planet and do something useful. You make all activists look stupid. We have to do something, not sit by and wait for the second coming.

      1. TracyJane, folk come from all different angles on this & I think personally we have to respect their views whether we agree with them or not. Even among Christian sections of the whole community there are vast chasms between how to be/not to be, an activist. Same as in the non Christian. Right now the anti 1080 environmentalist community is in danger of split because of this same issue. On it goes. I refrain from getting into those arguments. We are the 99% as I’m sure you know & the key tool of the 1% is divide & rule. I figure let’s not play into their hands.

      2. I really try to ignore those that can’t resist belittling others on matters they have no interest in themselves. Its rude and simply ignorant and pertains to little interest of the initial discussion. In fact they are usually the very people that suggest we should do something but do very little themselves. Try this out for an exercise: If you cant say anything nice about someone today then don’t say anything at all – I’d like to be a fly on your wall!
        We just dont have what it costs to save the world, it’s too late. We can all do our bit and be a better person for it and our childrens education but it won’t be enough. Humans are naturally destructive in the process of forever seeking solutions. They’re selfish, weak and materialistic. They rely on money to fix everything but they always want more. They can spend their money on the ridiculous, but they rarely donate to save the sick, poor or children (unless its a tax perk) so what chance is there to save animals let alone a planet!
        Our Government supposedly spends a minimum of 8m annually on improvements, technology and developing new methods relating to control of pests, with supposedly over 50 research projects industry-wide to find improvements in the use of 1080 itself, alternatives to 1080 and other related topics. Meanwhile recent laws enforcing change with a Zero Carbon Bill to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,stop providing plastic bags, banning tobacco, enforcing change to farmers livestock systems (who by the way support the use of 10.80), all in the quest of helping global warming – and one day they may even ban 10.80 in raw form (sodium fluoroacetate the synthetic form) but what pesticide will replace it because something has to if we want to save the wildlife … more money…No, I don’t think so, not in my lifetime I pretty sure of that. And if one was to consider those species of animals, fauna and flora that remain, would that make a difference? Other alternatives may be more cost-effective and faster acting but oh how those creatures will suffer while in the process – for crying out loud we just can’t please all of the people all of the time! In fact New Zealand is the largest user of 1080 poison, using about 80% of the world’s supply… and we think we’re clean and green! Sounds to me its just too little too late and lets just hope all that testing is being investigated by a neural party! To add to the problem at least 11 Agencies most of which are Government run also support the use. in their favour it is thought to be “the most humane poison tested”. There was an opportunity once but that went out the door in 2000 depending on your beliefs. Quite simply though, wars continue to abound because humans can’t get along together. They’re always fighting for one thing or another…. so what chance is there that they actually give a shit about the by-kill when trying to eradicate a few pests. The trouble is the pests are extremely invasive and are claimed to spread TB just another reason to doubt its banning. Humans have hope, motivation, ambition, empathy and in some cases even money, but when we talk of place that can cover large tracts of remote bush and forestries, inaccessible areas and the like, whatever the poison, it has to be aerial dropped, nothing you say or do will change that. So ask yourself, not how can I help but can I actually help at all??

  3. Reposting to Uncensored. This “scorched earth” environmental vandalism has to stop before they destroy everything. Where is the Extinction Rebellion? Oh, too busy fighting fake climate emergencies to deal with real environmental tragedy no doubt.

      1. WHAT THEY WANT TO DO IS KILL OFF EVERY LIVING SPECIES THAT ARE NATURAL AND ALIVE, AND REPLACE THOSE SPECIES WITH ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE. THIS IS AN ABOMBINATION TO SAY THE LEAST!!! TAKING THING A LITTLE BIT MORE RETRO, SURE I LIKE SOME MODERN ASPECTS OF LIFE, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO REPLACE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, FOR EXAMPLE I DO NOT WANT A ROBOT COOKING MY FOOD, I WANT TO COOK FOR MYSELF, AND IF SOMEONE ELSE ENJOYS WHAT I COOK, IT GIVES ME AN INNER SATISFACTION. PEOPLE ARE SO STUPID TO GO FOR THESE THINGS, AND LITTLE DO THEY REALIZE, IT WILL KILL THEM IN THE LONG RUN.     2. the Extinction Rebellion has a different focus, the very real climate change that is causing huge and possibly now unstoppable changes that will make this earth uninhabitable for humans (who should maybe keep poisoning themselves because we are so ignorant and arrogant as to commit ecocide continually since the beginning of industrial “civilization”). If you want the rest of the world to be aware of this, first start with your own officials – publicize this blog, visit your elected and appointed officials, notify your media, collect your friends and like minded community and go march in the streets just like Extinction Rebellion.

      2. Yes Sandra Nicht, we do and we are – this Saturday at the Mount (Mount Maunganui). Another protest and awareness rally. If you haven’t noticed the 1080 marches and rallies, you either aren’t paying attention or are listening to main stream media which makes 1080 activists out to be a bunch of loonies. I’ve met a ton of them and they most certainly are not! (me included) Anyhoo, any one reading this, come to Coronation Park, at the Mount, Saturday 9th Nov – great speakers from all round NZ, start at 10am. we’ll be there from 8am onwards. Bring me a coffee….

    1. LOL why wouldn’t it Kevin? It’s an insecticide after all. And remember the birds feed on the insects don’t they? It DOESN’T target pests either, as DoC would have you believe & would have the public believe as well. The FACT is, the bush is now silent. Observed by workers note who work daily in the bush.
