Not personally so sure about the megalomania being a Russian thing, rather I think it applies more to another, well rather two other well known continents, one of them quite tiny by comparison that once boasted the sun ne’er setting on its acquisitions. The new road has been called a super-highway, and it could potentially stretch around the planet, meaning you could get anywhere by driving. This is an incredibly large project that will require international cooperation, and it could change the way people travel around the world. Take a look.

  1. This is ridiculous. We need to reduce automobile traffic, not increase it. We need to develop and mass produce environmentally friendly forms of transportation. This is incredibly ignorant. it sounds like something that pathetic moron trump would propose.

  2. Why would the head of Russian Railways want a highway to compete with them? There have been proposals for a bridge across the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia for a while, but there hasn’t been a whole lot of enthusiasm generated by it and when it comes to Russia the US Congress seems to have gone back to a Cold War mentality.
